Update: I still recommended Dr Theurer whole heartedly but it is very hard to get in to see him, even as an established patient. The other doctor I saw here was one of my worst experiences, having to come back multiple times to fix a crown and taking much longer than my experiences with Dr Theurer. They then blamed my poor experience on “dental anxiety” which I found insulting considering it’s not true and it wasn’t my fault the experience was so bad.
Absolutely the best dentist I’ve ever been to! I had to find a new dentist when I moved to Salt Lake. I had been going to the same dentist for most of my life but Dr Theurer is even better! He’s great to talk to, gentle, thorough and quick! He explains everything and his staff is very nice. He was recommended to me by 3 people and i recommend him to everyone. Be sure to find the dentist office with the fish tank! There are a couple other dentists with the same name.

This dental office is by far my favorite I’ve ever been too. Dr Thorup is gentle with everything and keeps you in the know. Him and his team always make sure that I'm comfortable and they always have my best interest in mind. Totally recommend!

Clean, punctual, skilled, and wonderful chair side manner from all of the staff. The dental work I've had done here has been great, and Dr. Theurer fixed a difficult persistent problem expertly. Our daughter (nearly three years old) has been getting little 'check ups' here since her first birthday, and looks forward to seeing the beautiful fish in the aquarium in the lobby. She sat in the chair by herself for the first time this visit and was put at ease by Dr. Theurer immediately. We love this office!

The staff was friendly and helpful. My hygienist, Kate, was so friendly and happily answered all of my questions (I had a lot)! Dr. Theurer was awesome! He is down to earth and wants to get to know you as an individual. Highly recommend this dentist office.

This office is always amazing. Good dentists are hard to come by, and Jared is one of them. His staff is always pleasant and I look forward to coming in every 6 months. Also, they have an excellent claims specialist in the office that works the patients through billing before procedures if wanted, but after procedures each visit. I can tell they know that patient knowledge is power.

The staff is amazing! Super sweet and polite! Dr. Thorup is so nice and patient, seems very knowledgeable. The office itself is very cute and well-kept. This is actually the nicest dental office I have ever been to and the best treatment I have received. Kindness goes suuuch a long way, especially with people in pain. My current dentist is great, but this place will be my new go- to since it is closer to me. Big plus that they are open on Saturdays!

The Sugar House Dentist is wonderful! The staff is Great,and Dr.Theurer is the best dentist I've ever been too.I must admit I've never felt comfortable anywhere else,they make sure your totally ready before any procedure is started. If you want a stressless dental experience this is the place to go ! They are Great!

Dr. Theurer is simply amazing! He uses high-tech equipment, shows great care to his patients (you definitely get a call from him in the evening following any operation), and works with very friendly people. What I really like is that he explains everything he will do right before he does it. You experience no surprises when he is operating on your teeth and you never have to wonder what he might be doing to you. I love that! Perhaps most importantly, I never had any problems with any operation he performed on my teeth, and I had my fair share of dental troubles before I met him.

I am taking classes to complete my certification as dental assistant. I am so glad I had the opportunity to complete part of my externship hours with the Sugar House Dentist Office, I felt so welcomed by everyone from the moment I arrived. Juliet was very kind and patient with me, she explained me different dental procedures and multiple expanded dental assistant processes. I felt very fortunate to work with Juliet, she is very knowledgeable, she has high standards of ethics and professionalism. I appreciate Dr. Thorup who was very king to allow me observe interesting and new dental techniques and treatments, such as 3D scanning for posterior crowns and an innovating technique to treat gingiva recession scalpel-free and suture-free procedure. Last but not least, thank you Kevin for letting me shadowing you to learn more about four handed dentistry. It has been a great experience to learn from all the Sugar House Dentist Team, thank you for your care, support, and professionalism!

Dr Theurer is a great guy. I have only been going to him for a year but I enjoy going to his office. He has a great team of assistants that help you feel comfortable and at ease. I was referred to him by two different in-laws and am grateful for such a great dentist.
