Amazing experience!!! Never thought I’d say that about a dental office but Dr. Thorup and Kevin were very accommodating with my first crown appointment. Their down-to-earth personalities and humor were an added bonus. Dr. Thorup was very informative and explained everything he was doing to keep me in the loop. I was in and out in no time. And Mariah was so welcoming and helpful.

Dr. Theurer and his staff are everything I hope to find in a dentist office. Punctual, clean, friendly, gentle, honest, and thorough. He's got a great eye--he placed a crown on my tooth implant that looks natural as can be. Fillings are painless and easy. At one point I had a gun infection (yuck) that he quickly diagnosed. It was causing me gum discomfort and bleeding. After a specialized medical cleaning, my gums are in great shape again. Thank you Dr. T and staff!!

The Sugarhouse Dentist (Dr Craig Theurer) offered to provide dental care to my two children after they visited another crosstown dentist. We got dental records to Dr Theurer and at no point did he mention that there would be an initial "consultation" to see both children prior to him performing dentistry on their cavities.
We were contacted the day of the visit asking us to reschedule. We could not.
My wife and I were shocked, after taking the kids into the dentist, to discover that the visit was not to address the cavities, but instead for him to simply examine their teeth and then close up shop for the day.
We were then billed $74 for this additional visit (after insurance). During the consultation, Dr Theurer indicated that he couldn't even do the work on my 5-year-old son because he doesn't do work on children that age, referring us to another dentist specializing in pediatric dentistry (now our third!).
We were already wary of the office with my wife and I both experiencing issues with them making mistakes around booking our appointments (My wife had a different charge rescinded) after issues with their communication and billing.
Do not support The Sugarhouse Dentist, they are unprofessional and clearly out to gouge you at any opportunity.

I had really bad experience at this dental clinic. Without my knowledge about the balance that I owe to them, they send the documents for collections which further took me to Legal action. After getting a notice from collection I did called several time to know about the balance that I owe and every time they say no balance left and I ignored the call thought it was a big scam, until I get legal paper I didn’t took serious. Long story short, I have to pay $987 instead of the payment that I really owe that is $387. So please be careful regarding the payment…… Be watchful …..

I have been going to the Sugarhouse dentist for about 3 years now, and Dr. Theurer is the best dentist I have ever been to. He makes me feel comfortable and his hygienist are so personable. I’ve had a number of procedures done such as Invisalign, veneers, and a gum lift. Everything turned out wonderfully with no issues on either end. I recommend him and his team to everyone! See you for my 6 month cleaning!

Dr Theurer and his staff are always very patient and good at explaining what they are doing as English is not my first language. Everyone there is happy and helpful. The office, staff and equipment are very clean. Dr. Theurer is very gentle, the best dentist I have ever had. I have and will continue to recommend them.

I am a dentist coward, but man, I love this place! If you have to got to the dentist, and you do this is the place to go. Dr. T gives the best shots I have ever had, and even my daughter mentioned how thorough the explanations and strategies are. Plus they take and use a wide range of insurance(s). I almost don't want to gush too much because I want to keep my booking of appointments easy - but I will because I really like this office and the staff!

I had a great visit with Dr. Theurer. He's very personable and professional. His system is set up really well so the patient is very well-informed by the end of the visit. I got to see my X-rays and intraoral pictures while he explained what was going on and what we do about it. I'd recommend him to anyone looking for a dentist.
