The Art of Dentistry

Dentists and staff are very efficient and knowledgeable! My first experience with them was great! I will be coming back and spreading their name in the Virginia Beach area!

I had a very positive experience, front desk ladies are welcoming and helpful, entire staff is very respectful, attentive and friendly. My questions and phone calls are answered, concerns addressed. I've been to some very decked out dental offices and this one doesn't have TVs with cable for patients, floating touch screens for med personnel, etc. But dental service is high quality, which is more important. Dr. Dorfman is professional, thoughtful and careful with good sense of humor. Hygienists are just wonderful. I feel like I'm in really good hands.

I went to this office for the first time yesterday and had such a wonderful experience. When I first got there a really nice girl came out to me and walked me through the health forms. I only waited a few minutes and was taken back to by far my favorite hygienist and Dr yet, Beth and Dr. Dorfman. They both are so personable, knowledgable, and just made me feel comfortable during my appointment. I switched my family to this practice and am so beyond happy that I did!

I selected Dr. Horwitz's office because they are conveniently located and have excellent reviews. I needed to switch dentists because of a change in my insurance and decided to give them a try. I hadn't been to the dentist in awhile and was concerned my initial visit would be a bit or an ordeal. It was not. I've had three procedures so far and not one bit of discomfort. They are friendly, polite and efficient. Now my entire family goes. I highly recommend them!

Scheduled for my first tooth extraction - and an experience I'd not been savoring! Despite my fears that the procedure might be painful, and leave me in some discomfort for several days, I can genuinely say that none of my fears materialized. Dr. Darren and his team were quite outstanding (again) and made sure that I was informed about the procedure every step of the way. I received a follow-up phone call to see that any pain was being managed - I was experiencing none - and that any other concerns were being met - and they were.

Whilst trips to the dentist are not one of my favourite past-times, visiting Abbey Horwitz and all of the great team at The Art of Dentistry is always a pleasure. Thank you for taking such good care of me!

I have been a patient for more than 15 years. During my younger years I was a white knuckle gripper in the chair. Past experiences at other dental offices were horrible. Now I am relaxed, enjoy my visits and actually cannot wait until I get to see Kathryn each visit. And of course when Dr. Horwitz comes in, he brightens my day.

My appointment has never been delayed. When I have needed additional work, they have managed to fit me in while I was already there which is huge for me. The most major dental work I have ever had in my life is an unexpected crown. Dr. Horwitz was honest with me and gave me several options. Each costing more than the previous one. He recommended we start with a crown and let me know that there was a possibility it may not work and I might have to have a root canal. It was a gamble and it paid off for me and saved me a considerable amount of money. I don’t know many dentists that would have done that. And, he took care of me 100% from start to finish.

Best dental practice I have ever been to and Kathryn is the best Dental Hygienist!!!! The staff is friendly; the office is beautiful, clean and very comfortable. Thanks Dr. Horwitz & Associates. See ya in 6 months!

I haven't been to the dentist in 7 years but after realizing my irrational fear, due to receiving poor dentist work in the past, I decided to become a new patient at Abbey Horwitz, DDS.

I had the BEST experience during my visit today. My dental hygienist, Sue, was absolutely amazing. She was encouraging and answered all my questions and concerns! We talked and were able to joke around for most of my exams and general check up.

Since I had quite a bit of tartar buildup, she was very patient with me and my sensitive gums as she worked, using different methods to make sure my visit was as pleasant and pain free as possible.

I have to go back next week to finish cleaning up and will have to make an appointment in the near future for a small cavity needing to be filled and a wisdom tooth removal, but I can say that I am no longer afraid to go to the dentist!! It also feels great knowing their staff does genuinely care about their patients' experiences.

Recently my insurance changed which made The Art of Dentistry "out of network" for me. Because this practice has provided impeccable service I decided to remain a patient. Their level of personable care from cleanings to procedures is irreplaceable. I can't say enough about this place and the people but equally important to their professionalism is their manner of care. They deserve every accolade and kind word in a world where being a number rather than a person is the status quo.

I am new to the area and had not been to a Dentist in over 5 years, needless to say I was very nervous about going to a practice that I had never been to! Everyone in the office was very kind and professional and took time to answer any questions I had. Dr Horwitz is very easy to talk to and Beth, my hygenist is FABULOUS! I have another appointment in 3 months and I cannot say enough about how great this office is!
