There is nothing like walking into your dentist's office and getting called back for your cleaning as soon as you are done signing in...and this happens EVERY SINGLE TIME...a sign of excellent schedule planning. In addition, my hygienist is same every time, so she knows my teeth and history. She is friendly, quick, skilled at cleaning gently, and most importantly thorough. Notably, they aren't about "upselling" every chance they get either, which is what I've dealt with many times in the past. I'll stick with Dr. Dorfman and his staff as long as we live in VA Beach. Great staff all the way around!

Im a big dentist chicken...BUT I'm very happy and comfortable with Dr. Horowitz and Dr. Dorfman! Kathryn is my Dental Hygienist; she is thorough, gentle, and personable. The staff is down to earth, easy to talk to, polite, yet funny. The cherry on top is that I've never had to wait in the office for my appointment! It's a well run, caring practice.

Staff is amazing, and although this visit they couldn't help me, they suggested two professional oral surgeons who will be this week. Visiting the dentist has always been my least favorite health appointment, I had avoided going for a long time, but after moving down to VA Beach I knew it was time for just a check up. While a doctors appointment is never really something anyone looks forward to I must say going to Dr. Horowitz has only been a positive experience and I actually don't mind going to the dentist for the first time in years! The hygienist that I see, Kristy, is wonderful. Not only is she extremely personable and remembers you, I leave with the great dentist clean feeling without my gums being water picked to death. I have seen both Dr. Horowitz and Dr. Dorfman, both are very professional, friendly and give you plenty of options if something needs to be done. My insurance covers my visits, but the prices are reasonable that I would stay with them even if insurance changed.

2014: Went back for my second cleaning and it was just as pleasant as the first. Kristy is so gentle but thorough with my cleaning and she is SO friendly! Favorite hygienist ever!
First appointment: Great dentistry! The front desk staff were very nice and friendly. My hygienist, Kristy, was also very friendly and cleaned my teeth well. Dr. Dorfman was also pleasant. It was a very nice office too!
2015: I've been going to this dentist office for over a year now and I have had a great experience. The hygienists are awesome and I have had wonderful dental care by them and Dr. Dorfman.
