Very unorganized. I went for a simple 6 month cleaning. I was there over 2 hours & was told I had to come back to get my teeth cleaned, that the first visit was a consultation visit. WRONG. I told them I would not be coming back. When the office manager called to confirm my appt a couple of days prior, I told him what I was coming in for. Had he told me that the first visit was a consultation visit only, I would've cancelled my appt all together. He was more interested in whether I had insurance or not. It's all about the $!

I was able to quickly get in for a tooth extraction. Everyone was very, very nice and made the experience less stressful.

Total rip-off, and left child in enormous pain. Took my 7 year old son in. Heavily infected (abscess) tooth. Did NOT treat it in any way. No fix; No antibiotic prescription; No dental plan; No consultation. Left boy in pain.. - For the privilege of doing NOTHING useful, they charged me $437.00 (X-Ray, Exam, cleaning).
Do NOT go to this assembly line, factory style, bunch of rip-offs..
Only concern they had was getting over paid (which I did). My little boy is still suffering. (Not acceptable).

Have been a patient at Aspen for 2 weeks now, when 28 teeth were extracted and I was fitted with new dentures. It all went like clockwork, from Jennifer explaining all of the financing to me, to the surgery, done with skill and finesse by Dr.L. Andrews, assisted by DA Kaitlyn. The entire staff was friendly and helpful and quite pleasant. So far all has gone as was explained and at this point I am completely satisfied. I did a lot of research before getting my teeth removed, and saw 3 other dentists before choosing Aspen.I'm glad I did

I think they did ok on prepping for a crown, time will tell. Lots of gum tissue was raw, torn and bleeding, so wasn't happy about that. Don't know if they brought the dentist out of retirement, but it felt like that. The tech had no idea where things were, May have been her first time there, but the combo did not instill confidence. Hope things are better next time.

I had a consultation for some dental work. Paid in full at the consult for services that would be be broken up into two future appointments. I scheduled my first appointment for an upcoming Friday. Between the consult and my schedule appointment, I received a call from the hygienist, asking if I could reschedule. I told her I’d already planned for that day and couldn’t reschedule. She said ok. She called me TWO more times asking again if I could reschedule. Very rude. I went to the appointment and after the cleaning, I scheduled my second appointment (remember- this was already paid for). In the time between the two appointments, I got a call saying I’d need to reschedule the appointment I already made! I told them I needed it to be that day as I’d already made arrangements. They told me it had to be cancelled and rescheduled. I was furious. The hygienist clearly just doesn’t like working Fridays. I was done at this point. THEN they sent me a bill asking for more money from the first appointment! Even though it was PAID IN FULL UP FRONT! Terrible hygienists, terrible schedulers, and terrible billers. I’ll never go back.

Poor experience with my local East Peoria Aspen Dental, that was not resolved by HR or headquarters. I had my 4 wisdom teeth extracted on October 22nd. I was told multiple times I would be put under with nitrous oxide. I called the day before again confirmed my appt and nitrous be the method for my surgery.
During my initial appointment, I sat down with Michael about scheduling future appointments and coinciding billing-and briefly the hygienist joined us. They were both understanding and nice. I explained my fear of teeth extraction and pain during the first extensive cleaning. We were informed the new doctor was certified to administer the anesthetic and ensured us it would workout and my mouth would be feeling better in no time. We were convinced "it won't be an issue." I had not been to the dentist in over 10 years, so my hygiene work was also extensive. The bill was high, we did not qualify for the payment plan so we had everything billed out, priced with the anesthetic included. It was determined the best way was to get the anesthetic then get my hygiene completed and then go directly into my teeth extraction in one day. I happily agreed because my mouth had been infected over a week, longtime tooth pain!
Three weeks later, I'm at my appt. my mouth was still in severe pain, my infection never healed. The hygienist moved a needle over checking her station. I was bewildered as I was under the complete understanding that I would be put under with nitrous oxide. I started crying. I had an anxiety attack and my hygienist felt for me, she told me she had seen the order and the valve for the machine to administer nitrous oxide was never ordered. She wanted me to be fully aware of the situation before she started in case I wanted to leave. I had no idea what to do. Mind you, we had just paid over $1500 upfront for these procedures. Pain effecting my ability to eat, giving me migraines. My wisdom teeth were moving and crowding my other teeth in and beginning to move my teeth a smile I spent 5 years in teeth blockers, retainers, braces etc. I needed more answers, she graciously went to talk to the oral surgeon.
His assistant came back with her and told me I could certainly cancel -but billing was not up to her for the current appt. Also, if I wanted to be put under I would have to "actually get the doctor to agree- and the earliest that could possibly be is end of December or early next year Jan or February." So effectively, I had every chance to leave, but only with a thinly veiled threat of being charged anyways, and not being able to get in for 2-4 additional months with severe mouth pain.
My teeth were very sensitive and full of infections. My hygienist wanted to make sure I was in as little pain as possible. She said medication will last through my appt with her through the teeth extraction appt and probably longer. My gum line wasnt fully numbed and I had work done on literally every tooth so I needed more medicine.
Next, was my teeth extraction. Dr. Jung was very rude to me. He questioned 4 times why I had gotten so much local anesthetic. He repeatedly asked me which medications I was on and what they were for (these were in my chart and filled in upon my arrival.) I told him my medications were an antidepressant and an anti-anxiety medication. He asked me if I've ever had an issue with abusing medications. He asked about prior major surgeries, when I answered c-section he chuckled and said he meant major surgeries. I was under investigation, barely able to talk, with my tongue somewhat numbed. He continued to randomly ask questions during my surgery. I left upset in pain with a prescription to regular strength Tylenol and extra strength ibuprofen.
I made a small complaint over the phone but wanted to let it go. Then, I got $100 bill in the mail for my appointment. We call get told our insurance didn't pay what they promised. Yet we were billed for nitrous oxide that never even had the ability to be administered. Go here if you want a huge bill and a disorganize office with an unprofessional rude surgeon.

In for a filling fix. The dentist was aware of my allergies and allowed me to sit up more because of nasal drainage issues. She was patient with my need to swallow often.

I made an appointment online for 1:15, the latest appt I could get. So I left work early, on my way there I received a text saying my appointment was at 3. I tried to call them but there was no answer. I live an hour from their office, I can't just wait around. What kind of business just up and changes appointment times without the patient's permission? They have lost my business.

I have had nothing short of a great experience at Aspen Dental in EP. I have been there several times over the past six months, and each time I have been overly impressed with their kindness and professionalism. I have pretty severe dental anxiety, so kindness is a big deal to me. They have al guided me financially as well. Overall, I highly recommend their business.
