I started my nightmare September 28, 2022. I had my “X-rays” and a”dentist” looked at my teeth. I told them I wanted implants and my cavities taken care of. I was told I’d need different X-rays for my cavities? Then, he recommended partials where I wanted implants. I was told I would have one for the top and one for the bottom. I was rushed through by the “care coordinator” and paid $1233.60 with a 20% “cash discount”.Several visits later, after strong insistence, I had a tooth filled by a different dentist who seemed surprised at the size. That’s because I still hadn’t had full X-rays! I had pointed out to the first guy which tooth bothered me. I finally got that full set of X-rays for another dentist. I got a partial not two like I was told.
Well, this office finally has a permanent dentist! Congratulations! He tried to put the partial in. I tried. It hurt when I did it and he couldn’t do it at all. He told me my teeth must’ve shifted. I needed implants and he need to do at least four crowns after I had my implants done at the oral surgeon. Shuffled back to the new coordinator, my new total is $6501.40 with my 20% discount.
I still have not been in a dental chair for a complete examination since my full set of X-rays. The coordinator told me she’d look at my bill and see what she could do. That was January 31,2023. Haven’t heard a peep. I want my money back and it’s sure be nice to have had my cavities filled by now and my teeth cleaned. I am disgusted.

My mom had some issues with getting her dentures and the staff went above and beyond to make things right. Specifically Cearra and Savanna at the East Peoria office. They showed us so much kindness and were rockstars making phone calls to get my mom some teeth! :) It was a previous employees error yet they took full responsibility and made things right. While the mix up was very frustrating, we have felt empathy and truly cared for and THAT is what we remember. That is hard to find so I highly recommend this office!

As someone who bills insurances and understands patient billing and care, all i have to say is RUN! The amount of fraudulent charges they sent my insurance for them to then request records to then have the office change the billing completely to be paid was my first red flag. My many others are then finding out i needed work to replace what i had done here, obviously i stopped going. Also while in the middle of my treatment i went back a week later and COMPLETE NEW staff other then the DR. herself. Now im being billed for charges they refuse to correct or even send in the medical records for my insurance to pay. Save yourself from wasting your time and ALOT of money.

YOU'RE BETTER OFF USING PLIERS THAN DEALING WITH ASPEN DENTAL EAST PEORIA!
Six weeks and counting for them to make a partial for a loved one. When I attempted to reach out today to follow-up, the receptionist would not answer the phone during business hours until finally around 2:00PM CST. They were quick to send a bill in early January, but have yet to even finish the partial by mid-February.
Don't waste your time with the Patient Satisfaction team, either. They've known about this issue for a minimum of three weeks and haven't reached out to resolve any issues. This location is by far the worst location in the USA.
I definitely do not recommend Aspen Dental East Peoria to anyone looking for reputable and integral dental care. From the dentist to the receptionists, you're better off watching a YouTube video on plumbing than dealing with these "healthcare professionals" when dental care is required.

I will after this extraction never go back. My first dealings with Aspen was fixing a front tooth that broke I only had about 6 good teeth in the top of my mouth they fixed it and it lasted about 30 days they fixed it again lasted about the same amount of time. So after $800 for that one tooth I had them all pulled on top and got dentures. I moved out of state about 6 years later went to another dentist where I was told my dentures were not made right and it was affecting my bottom teeth and was quoted $4500 to fix everything which I don't have that kind of money and no insurance at the time. Fast forward to present time my dentist said I needed a tooth pulled and they wouldn't do it and my insurance was only in network with Aspen so I went there only to find Aspen where I live don't pull teeth I had to drive 54 miles to the closest place which so happens to be another Aspen dental group and when I got there they said I was not in network even though the office manager was who made the appointment and this was after I paid $137 for consultation. So I didn't get anything done drove 108 miles and paid $137 for someone to talk to. Since they have called me and stated they are in network and have rescheduled for a month away but since I was having pain issues when I went there I doubt I can last a minute nth without getting it done elsewhere and paying for another consultation plus the cost for extraction which is $300. Not happy at all.

The first few visits were very frustrating. I would get a call an hour before saying they had to cancel, then they couldn't get me back in for a month or so. We went over an entire plan my first visit, that should have only taken six weeks to accomplish, but 6 months later I just now finally got step one complete. About a month ago, they completely replaced the front office staff and that has been such a blessing. The office now runs smoothly and efficiently. I get right in and get everything done. The dentist is super nice and extremely helpful. I'm much more impressed and happy now that they finally got the office in order.

STAY AWAY FROM ASPEN DENTAL They messed up my insurance because they couldn't be bothered to do their jobs. Then on top of that after spending an hour on the phone to fox their mistake was told it would take up to a month for this to get sorted. Been almost a month haven't heard a thing back and don't suspect I will if you're looking to go somewhere where there is no accountability and no responsibility to do their job then this is the place for you. Best dentist office ever oh and they also charged me for an exam when my insurance company covers ALL THE STUFF THEY DID. Again best dentist office ever.... Then when I did call management they did absolutely nothing to resolve or fix their mistake they just made excuses. There is no accountability at this office and most of all there is no accountability in this company. The minute they make a mistake and it sets you back months they will do nothing to fix it nothing to make it right it will just be a pain for you to solve later. I truly feel sorry for people if this is your only option as there is no Accountability and no Professionalism. I close with this if you have a choice STAY AWAY FROM ASPEN DENTAL. and to those of you who don't I am truly sorry you will have to deal with GROSS INCOMPETENCE by team and management..

I went for an emergency because of pain and they got me in the same day. Staff was friendly except I ended up needing an extraction. The told me they could do it that day and get me a treatment plan price. Instead of getting me the price they led me to the checkout area and went over a $6000 treatment plan. I said I just wanted the tooth pulled since I can’t eat or drink. By this point I had been there for about an hour and a half. I told them I would have to call to schedule because I have to get my daughter off the bus at this point. I called less than 45 minutes later and was told they could get me in IN NOVEMBER. For an extraction that was just urgent and could be done right that day but wasn’t because they did a full treatment plan vs give me a quote on the extraction. I’m not sure how the extraction goes from urgent to “it can wait a month” when I can’t eat or drink anything. However, they can still get in new patients for same day appointments with emergencies. My appointment IS an emergency. They should not agree to see emergency appointments if they will turn around and not have availability to resolve the issue. This tooth easily could have been pulled while I was there but they were only interested in me completing a whole treatment plan vs resolving my pain. A waste of money because now every office I call requires new X-rays because aspen takes too long to send theirs so I have to now pay to complete the process again elsewhere. They made sure to inform me that “when you come for an extraction you will have to pay the full $160 that day”. Paying $160 is way different than $6000 and clients who spend $160 or $6000 should be treated the same.

Aspen dental is the worst place I have been. I’ll be the first to admit I let my dental care drop. I called Aspen dental to make an appt bc I had tooth pain. I had an infection so bad that they felt the need to send me to the hospital the same day. I was told to follow up in a couple of weeks to finish my appt. That was in February. My follow up appointment got rescheduled 6 times since then. I went in today. They put me in an exam room and an hour later I asked when I would see a doctor. I was asked who I was. When I gave them my name they stated oh we didn’t know you were here. They gave my appt away even though they put me in a room!!! When I asked if they could see me soon I was told that they don’t have the time today. Seeing a new dentist immediately.

Dentist and staff were awesome. Had way different experience in Texas where I was overcharged. Paid stuff off and they always came up with new charge. Most recent experience makes me glad to have given aspen dental east.peoria another chance
