My grandson and I were both able to get an appointment back to back. They were very caring and explained what kind of dental work we both need. The dental hygienist was amazing with my grandson, as well as, the Dental Assistant that took his X-Rays. I would highly recommend their services.

My wife and I went in there for a first appointment expecting to get our teeth cleaned. Needless to say after 3 and a half hours we were still there and we hadn’t gotten our teeth cleaned nor even seen the hygienist. They ended up scheduling us another appointment for the following week. Everyone was very nice but seemed like they were rushing and the experience wasn’t very personal like you would expect a trip to the dentist to me

Went here since they take walk ins for emergencies, my tooth I had previously had a root canal on was causing a ton of pain. The hygienist and staff were super nice but when the dentist came in I’ve never felt so rushed in my life and he acted like he didn’t care at all about my issue. Was told “you need another root canal, or pull it. You need to think about it. Bye” They don’t even do root canals there, was referred to another dentist in Peoria. Ok, fine. So I go to get the medicine he prescribed, an antibiotic and ibuprofen 800. Good thing nobody looked at the paperwork I filled out to notice I was already on an NSAID and couldn’t take the ibuprofen. Will not be back, there are a lot more places that actually care about their patients.

When I arrived, they had my name as Stanley, instead of Austin. After they figured out who I was, I was told I had to have x-rays, which I had sent to them from my previous dentist. I was told they hadn't received them. I was charged $19 for X-rays I had been told would be free with my new patient status. The hygienist (professional, polite, and best cleaning ever) checked my gums and said I needed to make an appointment for a cleaning. I informed her that I had an appointment for a cleaning, and was told she would see what she could do. Jeanine then came in and informed me that cleaning would be $i28. When I told her I was told it would cost $66 ($88-20%=66), she said they couldn't honor that quote, but would give me 20% off $128. After a long wait, the cleaning was performed (the only thing that was right about my visit). The only reason I agreed to the cleaning, after being lied to, was that I was overdue and had already spent over an hour in the chair. I called Aspen because they advertise discounts for those without insurance. This is false advertising.

It was a quick and efficient visit to establish care. The one memorable person was Brandon at the front desk. He was such a kind, caring, and genuine person and just perfect for that position considering how personable he was with each patient. I more than appreciate his patience and working with my schedule as he made my appointments. Brandon is certainly a “keeper” for your front office! Thanks for all of the help!

I was skeptical about going here after reading the reviews. I have to say I was impressed. I received wonderful care from all of the staff, the receptionist, hygienist and dentist were all very kind to me. My husband and newborn daughter were in the waiting room and every single person asked me about my new baby. Very thoughtful and personable. I would recommend this place. The only downfall was that I had to go through a 1-800 number to schedule the appointment rather than calling the front desk directly. Later on they called me to confirm everything from the previous phone call.

My boyfriend had the best experience at aspen dental in Galesburg. He got a bad tooth removed by Dr. Jonathan Gifford. He was so polite and helpful thru the whole procedure not being a big fan of the dentist. I highly recommend him as a DDS to see!

This has been the most frustrating experience. They expect you to call and call again, then the phone rings forever and they don’t bother to answer or have an answering machine set up. And you might as well show up 45 minutes late for your appointment, because you will have to sit and wait for that long even though you are scheduled to be there. Then they make you schedule 3 more appointments to actually do things like clean your teeth. The only positive was that once I finally got to the actual doctors, they seemed to be competent in their jobs. I’m not going through that hassle again - finding a new dentist for my next cleaning.

Update: I just got an email telling me they scheduled my next cleaning - I told them not to schedule an appointment, and now they tried to book me for a 7:30 am appointment six months from now. Ha. Not happening.

Was seen 2 years ago, and the visit itself was iffy. They seemed to be confused as to which teeth were being worked on and how many appointments I would need, but it worked out. The big issue is with billing. I paid in full the day of my appointment, minus what insurance covered. My next appointment they told me I owed the original amount, then realized that I had paid. About 6 months later I received a check saying that I had overpaid, and now 2 years later they sent my account to collections. Why send me a check and then bill me all over again? I won’t be coming back here.

I had a great experience here. Everyone was so nice. I ended up needing to come back in later that day because I was experiencing pain. The dentist dropped what he was doing to make sure my pain was under control and then explained everything to me. I was very pleased with this visit.
