Dentistry At Somerset

I have been a patient at Dentistry at Somerset for many years. My family comes here and from the first visit we have all felt welcome and cared for. The Doctors and staff create a positive atmosphere and I especially love their attentiveness to make me comfortable and informed at every visit. If you are searching for a great dental office this is the place to go! 100% recommend to all my family and friends.

The facility was astounding with friendly staff and knowledgeable doctors. I knew I was in good hands when I met and talked to all the staff. They do go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and even have Netflix and Pandora for you to watch/listen to while undergoing longer procedures. I appreciated their hospitality but keep in mind the premium service does come at a premium price but they will always make the costs of the procedure clear ahead of time so you aren't greeted by any unwanted surprises. Would recommend!

Update: A few days after my appointment I received a call from my doctor inquiring as to how I was feeling after undergoing the procedure. He made sure that I was not experiencing anything I shouldn't and went above and beyond to clear up any questions and worried I had.

They claim to make you feel like family here and I can definitely vouch for that claim. Very satisfied with the quality service!

I have never felt more comfortable going to a dentist appointment as I do when I go to appointments at Dentistry at Somerset. The staff is amazing and makes sure that you can relax while getting work done to your teeth, the dental assistants are all so nice and check on you several times throughout the appointment and Dr. Niegsch is awesome!!!!! I’m so happy with my decision to start going here and will continue going here as long as I’m in Ames!

Tremendous care and attention is given to every patient - not only was this my experience, but you can tell that is how every person who enters the office is treated. My first dental check up was very thorough, and both the expert staff and facility were professional throughout the visit. Awesome dental practice!

I actually look forward to going to the dentist! From the waiting room to the dentist chair, they offer "extras" to make me feel comfortable. Danelle was really patient with me as I went through a dizzy spell this time. She totally adjusted to what I needed. I'm grateful for the way she cares.

My glowing opinion of Dentistry at Somerset has only been enhanced as a result of my recent visit for a cleaning. Little did I know that I was in store for much more than a simple cleaning. I underwent a series of x-rays that surprised me because there were so many. My wonderful dental hygienist Megan politely explained that it was standard procedure for them to get a complete assessment of my teeth and gums before a cleaning can be done. That's impressive. More photos of my teeth were taken with a digital camera, and then Dr. Krook did a thorough exam of my teeth and my mouth, including my jaw. Following the exam, he explained that I had some outstanding issues that required close monitoring. I appreciated not being pressured at all to have costly work done when the need is not immediate. I appreciated the care that was always taken and the constant flow of information that I received while I was being treated. This first-class operation continues to impress me in every way.

I became a new patient about a month ago. I felt welcomed as soon as I walked in. They had a nice introduction video and a gift bag. If you don't have dental insurance you can sign up for their membership plan, which seems to be reasonable. They have a "menu" of items that you can request to make you feel more comfortable such as a blanket, headphones to listen to pandora/netflix, essential oils, etc.
I just got my wisdom teeth out and the experience was pretty good. My dentist even called at 9pm that same night to see how I was doing. Overall I am very impressed and highly recommend this place.

Great facility and staff is an understatement. I always feel so welcome by everyone in the office. Particular shout-outs to Bailee the hygienist and Ann at the front desk, however everyone I've encountered has been so nice and friendly. I have terrible dental anxiety and this office couldn't do more to ease that for me. The comfort item menu is outstanding, and I virtually feel at home while my teeth are being drilled into! I've always requested that prior-authorizations be submitted so that I can have an idea of the cost of the procedures, and I've never had anyone bat an eye at that request. Their text/call/email reminders are great and keep me on track. They are always quick to follow up after a procedure and make sure my experience exceeded expectations - which it always does. I moved to Des Moines but still drive to Ames for my dentist appointments because of their extraordinary care. Can't recommend them enough. 5 stars and beyond!

I had a dental emergency (broken tooth). Needless to say I was freaking out. Dentistry at Somerset was not only able to get me in quickly, but were unbelievably friendly and welcoming to me as a new patient. The office was very clean and you could tell they were taking every and all precautions in regards to Covid19. I felt very comfortable and safe. Everyone was very friendly. They all took time to explain my situation and provide me with a solution that I was comfortable with that worked for me. I can't say enough positive things about my experience with them. Highly recommended and will definitely be using them for myself and my family going forward.
