Told receptionist at the Ankeny Aspen dental office that my daughter needed to see their oral surgeon for her wisdom teeth. She told me they had one at this location so I made the appointment. When we got there, they thought that she was there for a cleaning. When we explained the reason for her appointment, we were told that they don't have an oral surgeon at the Ankeny office plus he is still not fully certified and would take at least until the end of September for him to get all of the certifications. A total waist of time and money! X-rays were taken before we could talk to the dentist & explained so I imagine a bill will be coming our way for the X-rays! If people just really listened bad experiences like this one could be avoided. Dentist was nice but I wouldn't recommend this office. Receptionists need more training in listening to what customers are really wanting & looking for!

I had an appointment for 10:30 in the morning after sitting in the dentist chair till noon and still not seeing the dentist I said that’s enough and asked that they call me when they actually had time for me and yes I am still waiting on that call no respect for my time

The Dentist had no regard for what I care I wanted based on what I could afford. I needed a a filling in a tooth to give a temporary fix to keep my tooth from getting worse. The Dentist said he would only put a crown on my tooth or extract it. I tried to tell him that I had been out of work since March 9 and only had about $400 for a procedure. He interrupted me mid sentence and said "I dont want to hear it, take it outside." This dentist does not care about his patients and their needs. He is arrogant and condescending. Stay away from this dental practice. They just want your money and not develope a relationship of trust and personalized care.

Dr. Fatah at the Merle Hay Road location was delightful. I have worked with unpleasant dentists in the past, going to the dentist is intimidating enough without this.
Dr. Fatah's patience and kind demeanor went a long ways in easing my trepidation. Thank you for providing an experience that makes me want to come back.

I really was impressed with the Ankeny office. But I went into the Merle Hay office for 1 root canal then it turned into 2 root canals .But they decided they couldn't save the 2nd tooth and pulled it instead. This means I will have to have a partial which costs 3 times as much. This upset me. I was told my tooth could be saved. Being autistic... .which they made no attempt to understand....I was frightened and didn't want to have it done but I was kinda peer pressured into it .The dentist was nice, truly.I did not find any of the assistances nice, the receptionship was rude and awful and the Dr. Had no sense of humor. I hope I never have to go to the Merle Hay location again. I was almost in tears the entire time and nobody gave it a second thought or asked how I was. And considering they acted like....and I believed 100% that they truly care about changing my life. It lent a feeling of insincerity to those words. The Ankeny office was great other than they should have told me I could lose that tooth. I am spending 20k on my teeth (literally. No exagerration) and I thought maybe they would treat me with kindness instead of their pet project whose teeth are more important than my feelings or my fear and the
