Louisiana Dental Center - Harvey

I had a 2 hour surgery today with Dr. Moncada 3 wisdom teeth pulled and gum surgery! He comes highly recommended, they asked me what kind of music I liied & plugged me into the IV for conscious sedation while he did what he does best.

This was by far the BEST experience I've EVER HAD WITH "ANY" OTHER DENTIST!!!

I really am a basket case when at the dentist but THANKS to DR. Moncada & his assistants they really made my experience less stressful & PAIN free!!!

Dr. Moncada is a specialist- periodontist!

Stage 1 👍 cant wait to get this all over with.

Ps: Raven is a lab tech that worked with me some on the side she is so very sweet.

Last but least the Supervisor..thank you for sitting with me & trying to get some of the other issues worked out.

I went in today to have some work done by Dr. Bird whom Ive only met for the 2nd time. His assistant Britney was very nice just as the same as last time. This visit Dr. Bird seems to be in a bad mood ( which is totally fine) just not around patients. Myself being in the dental field for 9 years feels that patient comfort should be #1. For example when completing a filling chair side it is so common for water to splash on you, it is one of the reasons why we wear Protective wear. So while working, water splashed; and the doctor thought it splashed on his forehead so he starts freakin out asking Britney does he have water on his face, Britney calmly said no, its your hair Doc. So I brushed it off and let them continue. A few minutes later water ended up splashing on his face and he immediately jumps up and washes his face, while I have mouth prop still sitting in my mouth, waiting for him to get "disinfected". All while his assistant Britney repeatly said I'm sorry Doc. (I guess she's used to seeing him act such way) I am not implying that Dr. Bird shouldn't have washed his face. He should've calmly stopped and said give me a minute, without being hysterically like he did. It just made me feel as if I was disgusting to him. Ive had my finger bitten during procedures, my gloves torn, spit and splattered on, but I would never make a patient feel as if they are nasty. I don't know what his problem was today, maybe he skipped lunch, maybe he didn't get much sleep last night or maybe he should've picked a different profession if he didn't know what he would be up against. I suggest he wear a full shield face mask if that'll help him feel more comfortable. Apparently his comfort means more than the patients. On another note Britney and the other staff was amazing as always. I just don't have time for a Dr. who has mood swings, cause I'm not the one to give it to. Jah bless!

Worst part of this dental office is the front desk. Been here 4 times already for routine teeth cleaning. At every visit the ladies working the front desk all looked miserable and unhappy. But once you get past them and move on to the back, things will lightened up. Hygienist, dental asst, and dentist are all super friendly and much more lively.

I called on a weekend because my 2 front teeth broke off of My Partial and I was told to come in 1st. Thing Monday Morning. They are very nice and the office is Nice and Big and Comforting.

They’re very rude an unprofessional they never answer the phone I feel as though they don’t take their jobs serious an don’t care about the patients I have been calling since Thursday someone picked up the phone had a whole conversation with a coworker while I was on the phone then hung up in my face an I have been calling since still no answer then they sent me a text message asking how can they help me 🤨

I had a wonderful experience at Louisiana Dental Center I n Harvey. The staff was courteous, professional and knowledgeable. I will be revisiting for all of my future dental treatments.

Shantel the office manager is always available and willing to help. My son and I are both patients there, we have always been satisfied with our service. I can always count on Shantel and her staff for excellent service.

I had a very pleasurable experience from the time I entered until the time in left. My appointment was for 2pm and I was out by 245. Got two teeth pulled and didn't feel a thing.

I took my mom here because she’ 70yrs old & was in a lot of Pain, My Experience here was So Pleasant, Theresa, Shay & Brittany we’re all so very helpful & very polite, They were quick & working very well together as a team with all the patience coming in. My Mom felt that they all were Caring & concern about her pain, I would truly recommend everyone here for services. 😍🙌🏽💯💯💯

My visit was a great experience! Dr Bird and his assistant Brittany were super nice and took the time to make sure I understood everything. Great place and great people.
