My experience at Hudsonville Dental has been nothing but positive. Bonnie has been my hygienist and she is great. Gentle and calming nature (which is a bonus because I get really nervous about anything teeth related). Dr Ben is fantastic. Highly recommend Hudsonville Dental!

Hudsonville Dental is such an amazing and caring atmosphere for patients that have anxiety about the dentist. I had a dental emergency and was recommended to go here. All the staff took amazing care of me and made sure I was completely comfortable with everything they needed to do to fix my emergency. I haven’t stopped going back since and now look forward to it! Dr. Jeremy Schell and Bonnie always take amazing care of me and are always so personable. Thank you so much!

After another bad experience with Hudsonville Dental at my appointment today, I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for your dental care. They are very forward with their self advertising saying that they take such good care of their patients, but from my experience, that quality care only exists in their claims. After a couple of sub par experiences, I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt and see if it got better, but it hasn't. Here are a few of my last few experiences:
1) Appointments suddenly cancelled: After a previous appointment, I scheduled my next 6 month cleaning appointment. That normally helps to be on the schedule, since they are currently scheduling out quite a ways. I got about two weeks away from my appointment and got a text message saying that they had cancelled my appointment and that I would need to call to reschedule. When I called, they said the next apointment that they had available was out several months. Again, it was THEM that cancelled my appointment. Not me....
2) Sub par patient care: I inquired about teeth whitening through Hudsonville Dental, and payed for an easy take home method that they highly recommended. The only thing that they needed to do at the office was take impressions so that they could make trays. Whoever they had take impressions didn't seem to know what they were doing and had several unsuccessful attempts at getting good impressions and I left the office covered in impression mold material.
3) Before appointments, they send out a message saying that you can save time by filling out forms online before your appointment. I have now done this a couple of times, simply to show up at the office for the appointment and have them tell me I need to fill out the same forms again.
4) Performing work not covered by insurance: At my appointment today, they took x-rays without asking or saying anything. When I was checking out at the desk at the end of my appointment, they informed me that I was going to have to pay out of pocket for some of the x-rays. My dental insurance covers 100% of preventative care, so when I asked what the charge was for, they informed me that they had taken some additional x-rays (again without asking me or saying anything) that were not covered. I told them that I had not been informed they were performing work that was not covered by my insurance and was not happy about that. They gave a weak apology and said that there was nothing they could do about the charge--$24. This was the last straw for me. I cancelled the next 6 month appointment I had just scheduled and let them know that I would be finding a different dental provider. "okay" was the only response.
If you are considering Hudsonville Dental, I would recommend looking elsewhere!

I had a crown come off while on vacation. They were able to get me in quickly once I was back in town. Everything went smooth and everyone was awesome. I have pretty high dentist anxiety but Hudsonville Dental has helped me start to get over that. Highly recommend!!

Haven’t been to a dentist in a really long time bc I never really liked them and never had dental insurance but wow!! This place made me feel very welcomed the minute I stepped into the door and everyone was super nice I am really happy with my first visit today. Thank you for making me feel like you really cared about me!! Some places you just feel like oh they don’t care about what’s going on with you and I did not feel this way even as I was leaving the entire staff was amazing and helpful

I have been really happy with Hudsonville Dental in the past up to a 5 star but today at my filling appointment I had a hard time with my anxiety. The dentist a few times mentioned that there was a lot of blood and that sent my anxiety through the roof. He also pinched and yanked my mouth around quite a bit like he forgot there was a person attached to it.
Again I want to reiterate that this is not my normal experience but I wanted to mention it because it was so out of the ordinary for me.
My hygienist Ashley and my normal hygienist Jessica are phenomenal though.

Love this office and my hygienist. I travel to Hudsonville from Cascade every 6 months to see Beth. She is always thorough and my teeth feel so clean afterwards. The Docs are the best around too!! Highly recommended.

Good first time experience with a caring staff! I am one that NEVER liked going to the dentist, but Dr. Greidanus and his assistant Ashley made the process of a crown an easy experience. They explained everything that they were doing and asked several times if I was doing ok....I highly recommend Hudsonville Dental!

This is a very nice, modern facility, with extremely friendly staff. Dr. Peiffer is amazing! He always takes the time to explain everything he is doing, stops to make sure you are doing well and not in any pain, and he just has a great personality and sense of humor. Bottom line is that he does great work while making you, the patient, feel comfortable and cared about. This is very refreshing and really changes the mindset of hating to go to a dentist appointment. Hudsonville Dental has several doctors and many assistants as well. Everyone is always smiling and the entire office just feels like a welcoming atmosphere. My only (minor) complaint is that it can take seemingly forever to get an appointment here, unless you have an emergency. Based on my need to have appointments scheduled later in the day, I have had to wait nearly 5 months just to get my teeth cleaned. Still, teeth cleaning is certainly not an urgent matter, and it is just a side effect of their office being so popular. If you are looking for a dental office that goes out of their way to make you comfortable, has state of the art equipment, and provides great services at a fair price, then I highly recommend Hudsonville Dental. 👍
