Okay, well this was not my own experience, but the experience of my then 22 year old son who had recently been involved in a car accident and had broken a tooth during the incident.
When my son was taken back, my mom and I sat in a waiting area and an assistant came and told us what would need to be done for my son to have all of the dental work they thought he needed. Pricey, but I expected that. The broken tooth was causing pain though, so we just decided to remove that tooth, and discuss a timeline for my son's other issues.
I just learned about my son's experience regarding the removal of that tooth at Aspen Dental. The topic came up because I took my son to see a different dentist for another tooth removal. When the second tooth was removed, my son remarked on how the procedure was not so horrible this time, and how he had been so terrified to have this second tooth removed.
I asked my son why he thought he first tooth removal at Aspen had been so awful and my son told me that the dentist at Aspen had not done anything directly before the yanking and prying that was involved to extract the first tooth.
I was still a lil confused. I asked him, "Like what? What did this new dentist do that the dentist at Aspen didn't?"
My son answered, "This guy," speaking about the be dentist, ,"had this HUGE needle and syringe he said was filled with Novocaine. I guess that's the stuff that makes it not hurt."
I agreed with my kiddo, kinda chuckled a lil and said, "Yeah, that needle looks crazy big. But they use that stuff every time they fill a cavity, or prep for a crown, do a root canal, and when a tooth needs pulled. Can have people screaming bloody murder in the exam rooms. Not good for business."
My son shook his head and told me that when he had his first tooth pulled at Aspen Dental, he did not get any kind of shot in his gums prior to the procedure.
My son explained that the dentist came in and sort by of clamped onto the bad tooth with a tool of some kind, and was mostly laying on top of my kid and using the teeth on the opposite side of my son's mouth for leverage, proceeded to wrench and yank
until he got the tooth removed.
You can understand why I'm horrified at my kids experience, right? I really have no clue as to why my son would tell me anything that wasn't true, and I can't think of any motivation my son would have in bad mouthing Aspen Dental. BUT:. If anything like this has happened to anyone else at any of the Aspen Dental locations, please message me. If this is common practice, its unacceptable. I can't imagine how awful that dental procedure was for my kid, and if there is any truth to this account, I want to do something about it.

My appt was 430. Just before close. It was for a cleaning and boy was it fast. Not good. Not gentle. But fast. By golly. They got to leave by 5. But I m not sure it was thorough. But it was fast.

This is by far my favorite dentist I have ever been to. I’ve been going here for about a year now and I’ve been in about 6 times total as I am starting Invisalign and it has been an incredibly pleasant experience every time. Highly recommend!

I haven't been to the dentist in years. The thought of it gave me major anxiety! Aspen made me feel sooo comfortable. I had to get my wisdom teeth extracted. Next is a deep cleaning! I can't wait to continue my journey with them.

Best experience I have ever had with a dentist office! I had avoided getting work done for years. Got a few abscesses every year, and would just suffer because of what I went through with dentist visits in the past. I'm glad I finally decided to do something, and more importantly decided to go to Aspen!
From the start, nobody treated me like a criminal because I hadn't been to the dentist in years. (you know what I'm talking about, the lecture about how you should see the dentist and this wouldn't happen) Dr. Adepoju made it clear immediately that he knew the pain I was in from his own experience, and that he was there to help, and would be able to relieve my pain very soon. I have never had a dentist be so kind, and comforting! When he did extract two of my teeth, he was quick, and calm, which made me calm. Also, it wasn't just him, the dental assistant, Kristine had the same attitude. Continually trying to make sure I was comfortable from the start. No lectures, and infact shared her horror story from past dentist's. This is what a person should expect when they go to get help. I will never go to another dentist office again, and had my past experiences been half as good as this one, I would have never let my teeth get that bad in the first place.

Had 1 x ray in the office. Dental assistant was sweet.Dentist was very nice and told me what he thought best for my situation. Spoke with the coordinator she gave me the price and said I was getting a 30% discount for paying cash. In checking with another office on prices the quote I got from Aspen dental was the actual going rate, not discounted.Probably going to get a second opinion before any surgery.

Over priced cleaning!!! 400$ and that was with 2 insurances!! They said they did extra cleaning.... I frequently go to a periodontist and they are cheaper!!! I cant believe I just paid a dental hygienist 400$ to clean my teeth wow what a ripoff!!! This place is ran like a business chain. They obviously have to hit daily sales goals!! They move you from room to room throughout your appointment... oh and yes my cleaning was a total of 3 hours... 15 minutes in the chair the rest was waiting from room to room!!

So far so good. I got in quickly , got my x-ray. I am getting new dentures but unfortunately my implants are 10 years old so they are having to search for some items before I can be fitted. The staff seemed very knowledgable and friendly.

Very unfortunate experience. All I wanted was to have my denture repaired. They didn’t do a very good job. I can’t wear them. Had they at least cared about doing it right, I might have gone ahead and gotten a new pair. But because I wanted to try and repair the old ones first, the doctor couldn’t get out of the room quick enough. It also took more than 3 hours because I became a low priority patient.

Visited them last week and visited the hygienist she was amazing and I had not pain I also had 2 teeth pulled and crown work Dr Branco was calm and professional made me feel calm about getting work done and had very little discomfort after getting work done. did not need any pain managment from getting teeth pulled. Going back for more and would recommend for sure.
