Bear Canyon Family Dentistry

I'm a new patient of Dr. Montes. Her and her staff are friendly, professional, and experienced. They made all my recent appointments less stressful. I'm glad I chose Bear Canyon Family Dentistry to help me towards a healthier dental condition. I would recommend them to all my friends and family. 5 stars.

I should have read the comments on Facebook before calling this office, I would have saved time.

Rude staff, unprofessional front desk receptionist (male). When I scheduled my appointment the individual I spoke with was very professional and pleasant. I did arrive late and offered to reschedule, totally my fault, however, the first question by the female that opened the door was “you didn’t bring your paperwork?” Not, “good afternoon, hello, hi.” Nothing. I’m ushered me in. I was Already not feeling welcomed. Then the male desk clerk hands me a clip board and instructs me how to fill it out. Again, no “welcome, hello, hi” NOTHING. I then say, “Thank you, I’m doing great, thanks for asking”. He smirks.

First Lady comes back and advises me that they close at 3 and will not be able to do much but begin my exam. I felt like I would be rushed and possibly get partial service. I chose to leave and was mocked by the male receptionist with enthusiastic “Good Bye” and highly exaggerated waves.

Can’t say and anything about the dentist, I’m sure they are very good. But first impressions and service need some work. Good thing you can throw a rock and hit a dentist in this town. Dodged a bullet!

Bear Canyon Family dentistry treat you like family. A friendly atmosphere, great customer service from all members of the team there, and clean facilities. I get my standard dentistry done here and I went through invisalign as well. Dr. Blum is very knowledgeable and knows her patients.

Everyone is very nice there. I am terrified of the dentist but I feel better and at ease when the staff talk to me.

Everyone at Bear Canyon Family Dentistry is at the top of their game. Dr. Montez and her staff are the best of the best. Extremely professional and caring and very thorough. Thank y’all for taking such good care of me. I recommend this team to everyone.

I am not one to write reviews very often, however, after multiple issues with this office I felt it was well worth my time to warn others of the issues I have faced with Bear Canyon. I would like to start off by saying that Mark, my hygienist, was great! He was kind, caring, and understanding of my dental issues and sensitivities. The issue I have faced over the last couple of years has been the billing department which started around the time a new dentist took over the practice (I did not have any issues with billing with the previous dentist Dr. Mason). I have received random bills up to 6+ months after a regular cleaning appointment and their response is usually "Oh, looks like we didn't send the claim to insurance". If this happens once or twice, I get it, but after I have spent multiple times on the phone with Bear Canyon, you would think they would at least get one of my bills right (especially when they are regular cleanings/checkups). This past time I specifically asked for them to check my insurance information prior to me leaving the facility and the response was "We've got it! See you next time". I had high hopes that this time would be different, but yet again I received a random bill in June when my last appointment was before the new year. All I have to say is if you go with this Bear Canyon, question every single bill that you receive. I have received multiple bills and I have only owed on one. Now it is time to find a new dentist office who can submit insurance claims correctly.

I recently moved to ABQ from the east coast and decided on Bear Canyon Family Dentistry. I'm very glad I did. They were able to schedule me for the next day and my visit was very pleasant. Everyone was friendly, professional, and made sure I was aware of what my dental issues and options were.

I totally agree with K M and i couldn't be more disappointed in this place. They are a joke and someone or no one knows what they are doing there. So here is the review i am doing this because K M exactly said what i want to say. People do yourselves a favor and stay away from this place.

I've been a patient of Dr. Mason'so for 6 years and loved it from the first day. It has gotten better. The hours are great. The kids look forward to their check ups because the staff is friendly and outgoing. They never push when it comes to optional services. When something is needed the print out the treatment and give you time to make a decision. I drive across town to see the dentist abs don't mind at all.
