I have been going to Bear Canyon for 5 years. Had the same hygienist for all that time. I was supposedly scheduled with her for today but got several messages that I was due for a cleaning. When I called, they had no record of my appointment but would make one for a little later today with someone else because my hygienist was no longer there. When I arrived I was met by a technician who got me situated and said the hygienist would be with me shortly. After about 15 minutes she arrived and gave me the fastest cleaning I’ve ever had and then left so the technician could polish and floss my teeth and make me an appointment for six months from now. The technician walked me to the front desk and I was never seen by the dentist! I’ve been going to dentists for 60 years and have never gotten out so quickly, felt so rushed and not been seen by the dentist! I was extremely disappointed today.

Excellent staff. Dr. Blume and her hygienist and dental staff are professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Always happy without fear of going to the dentist. Great team.

During a pandemic provides an opportunity to observe how a medical office addresses the need for keeping personnel safe as well as the patients they serve. It is impressive to be met at the door and begin the care services at Bear Canyon Family Dentistry. I was there for an initial work up in preparation for a hip replacement surgery. The technician preforming the X-Rays and preparing the data for evaluation was engaging in conversation as she operated the devices
Then the Doctor performed the further detailed exams carefully explaining the issues and answering my questions with patience and clarity.
Thank you for a positive experience during what could otherwise be confusing.

Katrina is the most professional dental hygienist ever! She is very thorough and never judges me for my flossing habits. Also remembers all the little details about my family, etc. Dr. Montes is also great. Was thorough in her exam and gave me many different options. Very down-to-earth people.

I was a big baby about getting dental work done due to traumatic childhood dental experiences. They were gentle, kind, and talked me through the process. They did not judge me at all and were very understanding. I am so very grateful. They even held my hand because I was so scared. The staff is nice enough but their dentist are lacking a lot, I went in due to a chipped tooth and Dr. Montes told me the only option I had was to pull it. After getting a second opinion from another office they had no idea why she told me I only had that option as my tooth was easily fixed and still in my mouth. Wouldn’t recommend this dental office to anyone.

I've been going to Bear Canyon Family Dentistry for a few years now. Hygienists are great, Dr. Montez is my current dentist and she is excellent. Great care, nice office, superb support staff.

The lady who handles the billing and insurance portion of the business is extremely short and rude with people. We pre-paid the amount initially agreed upon with the dentist, and even nearly a year later they are telling us that insurance isn't covering what they anticipated and we have to pay out of pocket now. Normally, I am very understanding and patient but I don't appreciate being spoken to in short rude tones while half my face is numb and then being treated like I'm the one who is at fault for all of this. I would not recommend dealing with her. Edit to add: There is also EXTREMELY poor communication on the process of dental treatments and expected time frames.
