Dr. Friesen is the most compassionate, knowledgeable, brilliant dental professional with a natural gift of being a humanitarian and a true healer- he actually cares to do a good job and put the patient at ease. I have horrendous dental anxiety and every time heβs treated me he has put me at ease and offered me a different perspective on my oral health care- heβs not a doctor who gets stressed out, even when there is a lot to do to fix my teeth. Heβs top notch and his staff is equally amazing!!

Awful service with a clueless staff, but I'm not sure it's their fault. There are genuine idiots in the world and there are also people who hate their jobs. Then there are people in the dental industry who just don't care about patients. There are many reasons for this. Terrible pay, bad environments, overloaded with work, and much more. I believe this place suffers from an array of all the above. This is a ghetto office for people dependant on the system. So I say, expect nothing from this office and if they do something supper appalling you can call the Governor's Advocacy Office about any government agency and complain.
That would be a complaint against your insurance carrier, OHP. Complain about them only offering you treatment with the worst dental office in town where you are treated like a second class citizen. It's a start and might fix the problem in the long run. Advantage Dental claims to serve 17 thousand people in central Oregon.

Seriously go anywhere else. I had a cavity filled that I wasnβt even aware I had, but after the filling Iβve had severe pain. The dentist himself called me and told me to come back because air might have been left under the filling. I made an appointment and took time off of work TWICE for them to cancel. I called back again to reschedule and this time I said to schedule it on my day off since they would probably reschedule again, and they said I could come in on my day off and wait and hope to be seen that day if someone no showed. Thatβs their solution to my pain that the dentist put there in the first place. Itβs been over 2 months now. The lady up front was rude and not understanding. I get mistakes happen and I donβt blame the dentist but, come on, make it right and get me out of pain.
I also had to wait months for an βestablishing careβ appointment that they called and rescheduled and their earliest dental cleaning was July (this was back last August).

I am only giving one star and that is solely because of the very sweet and helpful assistant.
I had nothing but terrible service here. I had an appt to have 2 wisdom teeth pulled. When I got there they decided to do all 4. No laughing gas or anything given prior to help calm. As the dentist who pulled them was numbing my gums I complained that my eyes went blurry and my face was on fire. He just kept going saying it was fine. This experience was insanely brutal and traumatizing. So rough and painful. They sent me on my way with prescriptions that weren't called in. Not only was I bleeding terribly but I could talk or swallow. After hours of waiting for the prescription all it was was tylenol and ibuprofen. I was in so much pain it was unreal. The bleeding didn't stop for 2 days. Not only was my pain getting worse but all my teeth were now ultra sensitive. I called. No help. "Keep pushing tylenol & ibuprofen". Another week went by and I was in so much pain on the right side. I called again and again and again. No help. I finally went to immediate care where they said I had an infection. Another antibiotic. Another week and I couldn't open my mouth or swallow. So much pain in the back of my mouth. Finally after a dreadful Christmas I went the the ER. After CT scan and bloodwork I found out that I had a terrible infection that had spread to the soft tissue of the back of my mouth and throat. HUGE abcsess of infected fluid. Going under today at a specialist to have it drained. Dr said I'm lucky it didn't spread to the bone.
Terrible service and NO HELP from Advantage.

After going through my phone history the past 3 months, I can confirm I have called this place 8 different times, sometimes calling 3 times in a row on each occasion and left 6 voicemails total but nobody has ever called me back. They have never once answered their phone during business hours. My 6 year old daughter was on a treatment plan that has gone unscheduled and due to their neglect to schedule their patients, this has resulted in her tooth breaking which is now causing her daily pain. It is absolutely heartbreaking that we can only be seen at one location in all of Bend as we are at the mercy of our insurance provider.

Had two terrible wisdom teeth that had to come out. I had nothing but terrible dental experiences until today. Dr Friesen saw me right away and walked me through the process of extracting my teeth. Dr Dhillion and his Dental assistant Rachel was fast and got both teeth out in less than a minute. But the true super star was Dr Friesen, I would have never taken the chance and got my dental problems fixed as soon as I did if it wasnβt for his encouragement and knowledge. Thank you Advantage Dental for an amazing experience!

Meh. With so many other dentists in town with exceptional service this place fails. Long wait times to get through. Appointments that fluctuate. Billing was messy and incorrect. Staff appears to dread working here. My new dentist took a few minutes to schedule online and then it took me 20 minutes to cancel my appointment here.

This place definitely has fake reviews. After a year and a half of living in bend, Iβve never been able to get a solid appt, itβll get canceled with no chance of rescheduling. I ended up switching insurance. I would not recommend this place to anyone, if you care about your dental health

My dental team here has changed my life. They are compassionate and treat me like my oral health is important to them. Treatment is always pain-free, effective, and leaves me feeling hopeful and confident. Thank you for helping me reach a clean and beautiful smile.

Iβve called. Iβve left messages. Iβve emailed. At this point Iβm going to have to pack both of my kids in the car and drive to Bend just to make an appointment. It would be nice if someone, anyone, could get back to me.
