Went to Advantage Dental in Bend for the first time today to get an abscessed tooth pulled. I didn't have an appointment, but they got me in as an emergency a few hours after they opened. Everyone there was polite and friendly, even though it seems like a very busy dental practice. After filling out the first time paper work, Dr. Ashton got me numbed and had the tooth out all within maybe 40 minutes or so once I got into the chair. The dental assistant was very helpful and gave me all the information I needed for post treatment care. I scheduled a comprehensive exam for next month to start to take care of some other dental issues I have been putting off for years. All in all, I had about as good an experience as you can have getting an emergency tooth removal. I was very impressed.

I've read many negative reviews on here, but my experiences have only been positive. I had a cleaning and a dental filing today and Dr. Cody Negrete and hygienist Kiara. They were both wonderful and made me feel very comfortable (as I know dentist visits can nerve racking). I told Cody how nervous I was because I had never had a filing before and he walked be through the whole thing and kept checking in throughout. He was so kind and informative and I would definitely go back to him! The front desk was talkative and cheerful as well.

Advantage Dental is great. The front office staff, the Dentist, his assistant and the hygentist are all friendly and helpful. The only problem I have with Advantage Dental is their scheduling. They always seem to have to cancel and reschedule my appointments. It took me 3 months to get an appointment and then they called to reschedule the week before my appointment. And my new appointment was pushed out another two months. Poor scheduling management on their part.

This was an amazing experience. I had a amazing woman Angie and Dr. Dhillon that helped me. Thank you so much for the amazing service they were so calming and put me right at ease when I was getting my wisdom teeth removed Angie even gave me amazing bed side manners that I would consider to be compared to hospitals :)

I have recently had Dr Dillon extract many of my teeth in the last couple of weeks. I have dentist anxiety so bad. I also have health issues that can be affected. BUT he was amazing!! I have never had such an amazing experience professionally, compassionately and just being a good guy in a dentist setting. I won’t let anyone else pull my teeth. I highly recommend him. And also, the Bend office is very clean and the staff is amazing, too. Thanks again Dr Dillion!

I’m a pretty understanding person, but something I value in people as well as in companies is honesty as well as follow through. With Advantage Dental, that is not what you’ll find here. Every time I’ve made an appointment, it’s been cancelled. I know this is a hard time for people and staffing can be short staffed. However, to have an appointment cancelled three times(for one appointment)... and than to be told, oh yeah the next available appointment is in 4 months each time. That’s ridiculous! It’s gotten to the point that I know that my appointment will be cancelled when I make it. I’d say you should rename your establishment to Disadvantage Dental, than at least it’d be more upfront and honest.

This was honestly the best experience I have had at this particular dentist. I have had some very terrible and very painful visits that ended in a cracked top jaw at one point however no one else wants to take my insurance. If you have any issues at a dentist it is something to tell them in vivid detail ahead of time and they actually will work with you on it. Also the dental hygienists are much more friendly and personable then the ladies at the front desk who 9 times out of 10 are so hung up on their personal lives they don’t have the time of day for the patients. It’s not a place I would choose first if I had more options but I am greatful to have them as an option because they are actually willing to help me.

I've been trying to get my cavity filled for the past 10 months. Everytime I go into the office and get in that chair they send me away and push me further back in there scheduling. Well tonight half of that tooth fell out as I was brushing my teeth. Looks like nature took care of half the job. Maybe I can just wait another 10 months for the other half to fall out. And I'll also get my 5 pointless visits during that time just to keep the tradition going

Update:
I have now been seen again for the same tooth for which I have been waiting on my crown for that continually gets put off for over a year now and has since broken. Today I've had to go in for it to be "fixed" temporarily because I am now unable to eat on both sides of my mouth given that one side is still being "evaluated" after my recent filling that i just had done in June. I was charged for the work today to "fill in" my tooth waiting for a crown so i can chew on that side of my mouth. By charging me again today my max on my PRIVATE insurance is now dwindled. I have consistently come into the office & every single time brought up the tooth STILL awaiting a crown. If someone had done something about my tooth when i was seen in JUNE , or February, or November, just for the temporary build up I wouldnt have needed the work today! I clearly asked during my apt in June if my tooth could wait bc they couldnt get me an apt til August and I was told it wasnt an "emergency".

I ANOTHER dentist again today for whom, i did like, but this is a MUCH larger issue. I dont feel i should have to pay for a tooth that i have brought to the attention of the several dentists in this clinic that ive seen and has never even been provided even just a temporary build up for 1.5 yrs yet i am always asked to schedule a cleaning! Just take care of my ONE tooth first at this point!

I dont know what happened to my last review on here or how they have 4 stars and zero stars was not an option.

they never have an appointment until months out until you're tooth has literally gone too far to be fixed by more simple lower cost procedures by pro-active dental work.

the office has told me several times that they couldnt find my xrays from my endodontist which my endodontist had reassured me they had sent 3x. finally while in the dentist chair they just happened to find it.

my last review included that i clearly had a dental emergency in which i needed an extraction. i could not get through to anyone and was literally driving to the ER at 1P when their emergency line which is not even located here was the only person i could get a hold of and she could only leave a message. after emailing literally even their careers email i finally got a call back.

i have seen a different dentist almost every time i have gone in. I regret going here and thought i would give it one more try this year but i have such a laundry list of dental work that i have waited on a wait list from november to end of may just to be seen and finally actually got my filling in which now hurts and ive already started to use my dental benefits for this year here so i dont want to go somewhere else and pay and run out of my private insurance benefits before i get to get most of my work done but i am pretty much at the end of my rope and can only eat with my front teeth now that my filling is sore that was just filled end of may (or so it feels like the same tooth but honestly with so much going on in my dental work i have no idea at this point) and my temporary build up for a crown that was done over a year ago that has now lost another section of the build up and can no longer chew on that side either.

i feel as though i have an attitude every time i go in and every time i have to call and i dont mean to have an attitude but after OVER A YEAR and needing multiple fillings, extractions, crowns, etc. and only being able to see someone every six months as someone that has MAJOR dental work needs (which ive already spent over $2k out of pocket on AFTER insurance) and has constantly been told that my chart information is missing when it is clearly there, i cant help but be fed up and just wanting to get the last of the two teeth that hurt done so i can be done with them and start with a new dentist. i cant believe i considered taking my son here and now realize it was such a blessing when they said they couldnt take his insurance.

please dont go here unless you have perfect teeth and only require a cleaning or unless your insurance requires you to go here.
