Dr. Andy Estell has been my Dentist for a number of years, and he is an excellent dentist, and very professional. Megan S. is my Dental Hygienist and she is awesome. She is very professional and pays attention to detail. She is aware of the latest techniques, and explains the protocol before she begins. I was on COBRA for 18 months and recently had to change to an individual insurance. I did my research, and discovered a lot of insurance companies that were more economical; however, I would have had to go to a different practice. I thought about it a lot and made the decison to pay a higher premium to stay with VA Family Dentistry. I knew I wouldn't be happy anywhere else. In closing, the Office Manager, Receptionists, and insurance professionals are also very helpful and professionals. I feel like I'm with friends when I go to VA Family Dentistry Brandermill-Woodlake. I love my dentist, actually my hygienist, the person that does all the real work, is wonderful. She is very friendly, seems to remember me from each visit and asks about my kids and vacations, and most importantly thorough and gentle.
The front desk people are super friendly and helpful. Really it makes going to the dentist an experience I look forward to.

I’ve been going to this place since I moved to RVA, 4 years ago. The staff is always so welcoming! I love that they’re always on time with my appointments and I’ve never had to wait. My dental hygienist Yolanda is amazing! Shes caring, funny, and have given great recommendations. Dr. Wong is very personable and always takes his time to answer my concerns and issues.

Excellent service. The front desk is very kind. The office and restrooms are very tidy.
Dr. Bettis is a great Dentist along with his amazing assistant.
Both were very personable easy to talk to and they were both happy to answer any questions.
If you want a Dentist who the front desk makes you feel welcome and assistants who make you feel comfortable then come here.
The provide many options for your dental needs and at the end of the visit will explain and provide a breakdown of exactly what to expect for all the things they need to with on.
I felt they are very transparent with the pricing and realistic timelines with many options to correct what you need.

My hygienist, Megan, was so friendly and professional! She did a wonderful job cleaning my teeth. And Dr. Mulet checked my teeth thoroughly and was friendly as well. Great staff! Friendly and atmosphere is clean.

Was told that I had an infection and that two perfectly good teeth had to be removed and implants would be needed at a cost of $10,000 because of a gum infection. Husband was told the same thing. Meanwhile no antibiotics were ever prescribed. I asked for them since that had always been the normal way to fight infection. Just saw another dentist with a new set of X-rays with no sign of gum infection. Makes one wonder.

First time visit. Everyone I came into contact with were so friendly and professional. Every step being taken was explained to me so I understood what was being done and why. Very pressed with the technology and staff's knowledge. Can honestly say I enjoyed going to the dentist! 😁

Great experience for my cleaning. First time Sharon cleaned my teeth, it was nice meeting and talking with her. She even paused the cleaning so I could talk and ask questions 😁. I'm happy.

This would be a five star but just one thing ruined that. A relatively small exam room combined with the positioning of the patient’s chair did not allow the patient to easily make eye contact with the dentist who stood just behind the patient’s ear to chat. New patient, new dentist…please consider stepping into clear view of the patient, at least when entering the room for the first time. It’s a small critique but a clear view of the dentist would have meant a lot to the patient. Otherwise, fabulous experience. Will return in the future.

Appointment was on time. They said I needed a panoramic xray and they had told me about it last visit. I didn't remember and became apprehensive because I knew my insurance wouldn't cover it. If they would have just told me from the beginning it would be billed to you then I would have agreed to the xray at the beginning.
