I used to go to Short Pump Family Dentistry until I was informed that they do not accept Medicare with an Anthem supplement called Dental Blue 200. I still do not know why this insurance is not accepted.

Dr Tse used to be in my local dentist practice and then opened his own practice an hour away. It was worth it for me to drive an hour to have Dr Tse fix the pain I was having in my mouth. He is a very, very good dentist. —Linda

Dr. Tse is wonderful. He is patient, kind and delivers top notch results. His staff is super friendly and always convey wonderful customer service! Dr. Tse has a convenient location in short pump and is open on Saturdays. He is by far the best dentist I ever had and I highly recommend him.

I enjoy visiting Short Pump Family Dentistry. All of the staff are very warm and friendly. Dr. Tse is an outstanding dentist and demonstrates great professionalism. The entire staff makes me feel like family each time I visit. I am looking to future visits and have them my home dentistry family!

This is a awesome dentistry no lie they make you so comfortable at all times. But they not honest and that’s a money game. I am supposed to get free cleanings every few months from my insurance but this company lied and said they was doing a different service and never told me of the service until it became time to get the bill paid. Well my co pay. The money wasn’t a problem I paid it but I don’t like surprises then they lied and told me they told me about this matter which they didn’t. I will file a claim with my insurance company it almost felt like a scam to be honest or a family member stealing from you. Because they WAS family not anymore

I’ll share my experience as it happened:
Arrived 10 minutes early and was met at the front desk with a wonderful smile and friendly “hello!” from one of the Hygienists. She took my license and insurance information, all while asking about my day, etc. Filled out my new patient forms, handed them back to the wonderful staff and waitied no more than 3 minutes before being called back. Note, the waiting room has a great television and a nice selection of various magazines.
I was met by another wonderful person. I do apologize for not remembering her name but she was one of the reasons this was my first “excited” trip to any dentist office... she made me feel like I was right at home and as if we’d known each other for years. We did the panoramic X-ray and digital imagining of my mouth/teeth. It was a pain/gag-less experience.
On to the cleaning. At this point, I worried how my teeth and gums would react to the new hands... the hands were gentle and light. On top of the soft touch, the office also offers Netflix for you to watch during your visit!! If you have any fears of poking and scraping, don’t. Short Pump Family Dentistry casts those phobias (albeit irrational) to the wind. After the check, came the polishing. More conversations, laughs and stories, a big plus when you have a slight apprehension to Dentistry.
Doctor “C” came by and gave a final review. I couldn’t have asked for a more kind and positive mannered person (let alone medical professional) to take care of my wife and I. As weird as it feels to type, I can’t wait to go back for the next clean and check

Very pleasant dental office. I relocated from another state, and finding new doctors is a hassle. They made it easy. Dr.Tse definitely cares about the work he is doing and takes his time. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and I plan to keep returning.

I have had numerous dental issues in my life and have been to many different dentists. Dr. Tse and his staff at Short Pump Family Dentistry are, by far, the nicest, most accommodating, professional but friendly dental office I have come to know. I wouldn’t go anywhere else in Richmond. I trust them implicitly. Please give Dr. Tse and his staff a try, you will be very pleased and impressed!!

Hands down the best dentist I've ever had. As others have noted Dr. Tse is obviously knowledgeable, has a great personality and bedside manner. I urge you to give him a try; you won't be disappointed. Did I mention you can watch Netflix while they're working on your teeth and he offers Saturday appointments?
