Monarch Dental & Orthodontics

DO NOT use Monarch Dental! I came in with a broken front tooth. They wouldn't fix it without a pre-authorization from my insurance, even though I said I would pay in full and then they could pay me back. No, they sent me away, reassuring me they would contact my insurance that day. (This was a Thursday) Monday comes around and I call my insurance, Monarch never contacted them! Not to mention the Dentist couldn't be bothered to say Hi or ask me how I am. Don't go!

This is specifically for the Hot Springs, Arkansas location.

I made an emergency appointment because of a
broken wisdom tooth. I arrived early to do paperwork, and due to COVID-19 protocols/protections and how busy the office was, things went a *little* slow—but nothing worth writing home about. I had X-Rays done, and it was maybe five minutes before the dentist I’d scheduled with came in and made a recommendation. The recommendation was full wisdom tooth extraction under sedation—and he explained to me how their office does the bone grafts that help with healing afterward. After he made his recommendation, I spoke with another assistant about the details of the procedure, including how sedation worked, and then he went over the different types of financing that the office has to offer. When I understood everything, he went over all of the paperwork for the procedure with me and answered all of my questions and made sure I signed everything correctly. I was also given a copy of all of the paperwork.

I went in early for my scheduled procedure and got my paperwork and financing taken care of—my last-minute questions were answered and multiple staff members met with my driver and made sure they knew my driver. The office was a *bit* busy (lots of emergency appointments), but once I was called back, everything rolled right along.

The dentist and his assistant were SO sweet during my procedure preparation—I am a HUGE baby when it comes to needles and I haven’t been sedated since I was two years old, so I had no idea what to expect. They both kept reassuring me and trying to keep me relaxed and to get me to laugh. Right before the procedure was actually set to begin, an assistant came in to make sure I knew who my driver was and to make sure I knew how I was getting home. I ended up waking a little early during the end of the procedure (I have anxiety issues, and normal oral sedatives don’t work that well for me, so this is something I thought might happen, even though an IV sedative was used), and from what I remember, I was being a bit resistant—the dentist calmly explained to me what was going on (everything was proceeding normally) and got me to calm down so he and the assistant could finish. I wasn’t in pain—I was just a little disoriented and scared as a result. Next thing I know, an assistant is helping me wake and sit up and making sure I know who my driver is—she helped me up out of the chair and let me lean on her all the way out to my car where she made sure my driver was the right person AND gave them another copy of my aftercare instructions, told them where to go get my prescriptions, how to use the gauze, etc.

In short, the Monarch Dental office in Hot Springs went so far above and beyond expectations in providing excellent care to me—They deserve every recommendation I received for them. I can’t thank this office’s staff enough—like so many others, I have HORRENDOUS anxiety when it comes to seeing a dentist, and they handled me with the utmost respect and care. I will DEFINITELY recommend this office in the future, and will use them for my future dentistry needs as possible.

Everyone at Monarch Dental were extremely friendly. I have been scared of dental visits since I was a child but I felt very comfortable there. Dr Smith is absolutely amazing. I will definitely be going back!

I really enjoyed my visit as much as you can enjoy a dentist visit. I was terrified when I found out I had to have a root canal but the hygienist helped calm my fears and the doctor Smith was so caring and concerned about me and my nerves. It was the most pleasant dental experience I've had since my dentist in Georgia. I will definitely be returning and recommending them, such professional staff and Covid-19 cautious. Thanks for a wonderful experience with it being my first time, you really made me feel comfortable and reassured.

Truly an awesome experience the last tooth I had pulled by a dentist was when I was 9 years old I'm currently 56 years old and had a tooth that was getting very bad and the dentist's at monarch we're awesome. The procedure was quick and painless even though the tooth broke, the dentist was very patient and got the rest of the tooth root and all out quickly. The follow-up care was truly helpful. one of the assistants at the clinic actually, called me the next morning to see how I was getting along. I would use them again and again although I hope not to have to. I called early Monday for an appointment but the earliest one I could get was Wednesday at 10 a.m. luckily there was a cancellation and they called me before lunch and I got to see the dentist the same day that I originally called. I was in by 1 and out by 3

I can’t thank this team enough. They were very kind and calming. I am someone who shakes and brakes out in hives when going to the dentist and they were SO NICE to me. I was numbed you well where I didn’t feel anything. Which is a first for me. I have to finish my work next week and I’m not nervous the way I usually am because this visit had gone so well. I appreciate the those who worked with/on my tooth.

I absolutely loved my visit with Monarch Dental! The dental and hygiene staff made my visit feel very comfortable the entire time! The secretary was very polite and professional, along with the office manager Kris, who was very helpful with the understanding of my treatment plan and financial options. I highly recommend Monarch Dental in Hot Springs! Wouldn't go anywhere else!

I found Monarch Dental to be a very caring and professional place. With me not having dental insurance and nursing an open nerve for the past 4 days, I did not know what to do. I heard Monarch was able to work with no insurance situations. And they did just that, very fast! They gave me a great assessment with a full set of digital imaging for $29! Made a game plan, found the problem and it turned out to be an extraction, I was more than nervous. But, they assured me I would not feel any pain. The dentist did a great job of numbing me up and in a very short time, it was over, NO Pain and they had set me up with a payment plan too. Wonderful staff and everyone there. I highly recommend them for any dental needs you may have.

Honestly this was one of my last resort places for some help with severe tooth pain and they did absolutely nothing to help me with. Before I even went in the receptionist was arguing with another customer, then I basically sat in a chair for an hour before someone finally came to see me, then they have the audacity to tell me that what they needed to do would cost over 2000 dollars. I only wanted my teeth cleaned and someone to help me with my pain and do something about my wisdom teeth that are ruining my brace job.

I came here for important work on my front teeth! I love the staff, and I love the Dentist he’s phenomenal and very educated!! I’m very satisfied with the work they’ve done . This review is by me and believe or not they didn’t ask for it, they deserve it!!
