Sage Dental of Downtown Orlando

I had made an appointment a month ahead and when I showed up for my appointment they were closed. I have gotten no calls or emails telling me they would be closed that day. I actually had gotten confirmation emails to confirm the appointment. I definitely won’t be making them my dentist.

Me: I am here for 2pm appt
Sage: We cancelled it, the hygienist called in sick. Your VM is full (it wasn’t)
Me: I don’t have any missed calls but I have a text at 12pm saying my appt is at 2. How was I supposed to know it was cancelled?
Sage: Text is an automated response. We tried by must be your phone We can reschedule for MARCH

Sooo, Not going here again. The front desk is just as important as the dentist. They can ruin it for everyone. Good luck

Always on time. Fast service. Friendly staff. Nice location, with sweet underground parking 😄 Omar is exceptionally kind and good at his profession. Would recommend.

I rarely give reviews but I felt compelled to warn people about this place. I went for one appointment, a standard exam & cleaning, and made the mistake of telling them it had been a while since I'd been to a dentist. It started well, I was seen promptly for x-rays and everyone seemed friendly. Then the dentist came in for the exam. It was extremely painful, it felt like he was trying to cut into my gums. Then I was given a doom and gloom report that my gums were awful and my teeth would fall out unless they gave me a deep cleaning and some very expensive medicine that insurance doesn't cover. I told them I'd take the cleaning but wanted to hold off on the medication until I did some research. All of a sudden they didn't have time to do the cleaning and I needed to make another appointment to come back. After I left, I looked up the medication they discussed. I read detailed stories about how the company pushes the product on dentists and how they teach them to force the tool into the gums during exams so they can diagnose things like periodontitis, which is what they told me I have, and bully patients into agreeing to the treatment and medication. What was described is exactly what I went through at Sage dental. I initially chose to just forget the incident but I just went to another dental office for an exam cleaning where they told me my gums were fine, I just have 2 small cavities I need fillings for (btw, Sage never even mentioned these cavities). It was also a much more pleasant experience. If you haven't been to a dentist in a while, please at least educate yourself before going to Sage and being treated the way I was.

Sage Dental has great and quality service. They take care of my dental needs with sincerity and handle my cleanings with excellence. I have had no issues with Sage Dental.

So pleased with the work that Dr Jonathan Alvarez has been doing on my teeth. I thank him for his kindness, meticulous care and expertise with the quality of work he is doing for me. Would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an excellent dentist.

Loved it. The Dentist was so personable and very efficient. No long waits. Office is clean and beautiful. Would definitely be back for my next. cleaning in 3 months. Highly recommend.

Everyone was incredibly nice and helpful; as it was my first time going to this office. Cleaning procedures and precautions were taken the entire time. Felt very safe. Thank you Dr Alvarez and staff!

Very nice and friendly, they talk with you about everything you need done with your dental. Clean environment. I would definitely recommend this dentist to everyone.
