Sage Dental of Downtown Orlando

I'm very grateful to the staff at Sage. Going to the dentist was always a stressful experience until i started going to Sage. I feel they really understood my fear and treated me gently. I like knowing I have the option to use nitrous oxide if I feel too nervous. Thankfully I only used it on my first visit because i now trust them to not hurt me. I have been visiting them every three months to treat a gum issue. Thanks to their care I will never neglect my teeth again.

In and out in NO time. What a joke. They took more than 2 hours to check me in. Front office billing girl was so unpleasant. Very rude. Customer service was 0. One doctor who was running way late and by pass me to go to the patient who had an appointment after me. Terrible place.

Let me start by saying I'm one of those weird people who enjoy the dentist. Yes, I've had my fare share of horror stories and bad experiences, but despite those, I genuinely enjoy my time at a dentist office. I had been going to a dentist for many years, but when we moved I needed to find a replacement. Sage dental opened up literally across the street from my apartment, so I thought I would give them a try.
It was easy to make appointments, they are very friendly and everything seems shiny and new inside. The person who helped me with the initial consultation (X-rays etc.,) was so friendly and she helped explain everything. Dr. Alvarez was very personable and friendly, seemed genuinely interested in me as a person. They even offered to do my first cleaning right then, but since I had to go to work I chose to schedule another appointment. They scheduled me for the next week, so I didn't have to wait long.
They were very upfront about all the costs, what my insurance would cover (which was mostly everything) and any out of pocket expenses.
I look forward to continuing my care with Dr. Alvarez and his team at Sage Dental Downtown.

After my last review Sage reached out to me thru here asking me to get in touch with patient feedback over my issues which I did...still have yet to hear from them that was almost 2 months ago...that is Sage Dental MO....they DONOT return phone calls...i finally got in to do my healing denture paid the $930 and was told it would be ready in 2 to 3 weeks..that was August 17th , today is Sept 14th so I called them..who ever answered phone was trying ro tell me I need to have the impressions done which I already did then it was will have to check with someone and call you back...still have not heard from anyone what my final out of pocket will be...I swear if it did not involve starting over again I would go somewhere else!!!! This is the worst dental place I have ever dealt with....

I signed up for a routine dental cleaning appt online. I filled out all the paperwork beforehand and showed up 15 mins early. They took an hour and a half for “required” X-rays with someone who seemed like she had never taken X-rays before even though they had the contact info for my previous dentist which had up-to-date X-rays. Then, after an hour and a half, they told me they won’t do my dental cleaning until the second visit! I don’t even know why I gave them that long for me to walk out…

Hopefully, this was an isolated incident but based on their disorganization I saw, I doubt it.

I rarely ever get upset over poor service, but I will never go there again. It was a huge waste of time and money.

While my initial experience getting my x-rays and cleaning was great, my problems came when trying to schedule for the rest of my procedures. Twice my appointment was either not there or scheduled wrong and attempts to reschedule were way out in the future. Not once did I get an apology or any ownership from the office staff.

The entire staff is awesome. I've been to dental practices where the dentist was good but the staff were not... I've been to dentists who made me think they were helping me but actually were not.... Sage Dental of Downtown Orlando is a whole different story... the dentist himself is second to none, and the hygienist is also unmatched... the billing staff and the appointment staff and the dental assistant are all very excellent. The only thing which would keep me from highly recommending this place is that the wait times are never long and I wouldn't want to see them get overcrowded. But, honestly, best dental experience ever.

They have a great dentist and hygienist. However, the communication between their receptionist, corporate and client insurance is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE.

On my first visit they suggested a deep cleaning which they claimed would be covered by my insurance. The procedure was not, and so I we came to an agreement that I would pay 1/3 out of pocket. Prior to my next visit, my parents had a collections notice delivered to them for the other 2/3.... I received no email or mail prior to this. I was completely embarrassed and quite frustrated. After my next visit, we came up with another deal and I had them print out a sheet to show that my balance with them was zero... Unfortunately, the communication between them and the collection agency did not work out and the continued to pursue my parents.

Furthermore, they will try and schedule for three cleanings a year while your insurance will only cover two. DO NOT GO TO CORPORATE DENTISTS

This is the place if you're looking for really qualified, competent dental professionals -you've come to the right place.
Also if kindness and friendliness is important to you then you struck gold.
