My dental experience at Sage Dental was extraordinary! I've visited many dental facilities during my lifetime. But Sage surpassed and has met all my expectations. Their downtown office is always clean, the decor modern and attractive and with state-of-the-art dental equipment. The staff were always professional, friendly and efficient.
A special thanks to Dr. Alvarez for his expertise and compassion.

Poor attention to detail. Went for molar extraction with IV sedation. Quoted $50 copay. 1. I had an account credit 2. IV Sedation was not included in the price. I gave my treatment sheet from my last appointment for reference. I was not instructed of pre op procedure so I paid for Iv sedation but only got a shot "to take the edge off" since I ate. The procedure was excruciating since they talked me into pulling my wisdom as well. I couldn't hold Back the tears feeling the needle pierced my gums and cheeks. One done I was relieved and happy to have been done. Only to find out the following day my side tooth wasn't extracted. I've called for going on 2 weeks now and no one returns the calls as promised and they don't provide standard care. Run and run fast. FYI you can look up open Cases for patient complaints online.

Just a short list of people I spoke to with no resolution but to just wait "for someone" to call me.
Update 2/14/2022 I heard back finally when I posted this but here I am again 10 days later and no follow up from Coperate smh. It's really sad that I have to deal with this and It's not my fault this is such a big inconvenience to feel like I have to run this company Dpwn for help when they know in pain dealing with the tooth that has chipped even more since.

No free whitening kit.

Their answering service says they give a free whitening kit when you come for your first appointment.

I asked the receptionist about it when making my appointment and she confirmed.

When I asked to receive it on the day of my appointment, the receptionist rolled her eyes and said nope, we're not doing that anymore...So don't fall for that one.

Most staff was friendly, except for one technician who had a bad bedside manner, (the other technician was more experienced and was a very kind woman...definitely appreciated her skill and professionalism) but besides that it was clean, professional and a pleasant experience.

And they do a great job of following CDC recommendations during this pandemic.

I visited Sage Dental Downtown Orlando at the beginning of October, and had a wonderful experience. Everyone was friendly, I felt that I received good care, and Dr. Suit did an excellent exam and fillings. She was knowledgable, thoughtful, and professional. The rest of the staff also worked well with her and showed her a high level of respect; everyone worked as a great team and I'm very happy with my teeth. I will return and will refer my family as well.
TIP: Park in the Publix parking garage (public, free parking right next to the dental office)

Didn't seem to me that they knew the procedure for dealing with a patient with history of cancer

I'm only giving them one star because I couldn't give them no stars. This office is dishonest, unprofessional, and rude when you call them out on their behavior. They gave us inaccurate information about our insurance. They are also sensationalists liable to lock you in to their more expensive treatment plans. The office manager yelled at me on the phone that my husband has gum disease yet when he had his cleaning the hygienist said his mouth was a dentist's dream!

We tried to have a regular cleaning that our insurance covers at 100% only to be told our insurance has a deductible that needs to be met first. So my husband thought our insurance doesn't actually cover a routine cleaning fully. The information about the deductible was a lie. Our deductible only applied if they were treating a tooth.

What they did not appropriately explain is that they were unwilling to give us the cleaning our insurance covers because we'd previously had a deep cleaning. If you have a deep cleaning then they automatically put you on a specialized plan without your knowledge and will not deviate from it regardless of your desires or budget concerns. When I told them they were deceptive in the way they communicated during our last visit, I ended up being repeatedly interrupted by their rude office manager (after being rudely spoken to by 2 of their front desk personnel) and then yelled at that they gave the treatment that was deserved and needed. That we signed papers and knew what we were getting. AT NO POINT DID THEY EVER APOLOGIZE AT THE VERY LEAST FOR THIS HURTFUL MISUNDERSTANDING.

The staff told me they'd have the office manager call me back. LIES. she never did. When I called the office manager, because I couldn't find a way to file a complaint on the Sage dental site, first she told me she didn't know how and then she told me she'd call back to tell me how I can file a complaint with Sage dental. LIES. She never called me back.

She also lied to me on the phone saying it was AGAINST THE LAW FOR THEIR OFFICE TO GIVE US A ROUTINE CLEANING. More lies.

Do you want to go to an office that doesn't accurately communicate with you regarding your insurance, locks you into their plans regardless of your wishes, sensationalizes your situation so they can profit, is thoroughly dishonest and has no manners ? I wish I never stepped foot in their office and I highly recommend finding any other dentist that respects you, reports your insurance information accurate and does not lie. You will not find that at this office. Do not take the risk going there. They are not worth it.

I went to this office to repair a chip in my tooth. While I was there they said I needed to do a cleaning and needed to speak to the front desk to see what was covered by my insurance. I went up to the front desk and they offered me two types of cleanings one more expensive than the other. I did explain that I wanted to see which one was covered by my insurance. They said fine and then proceeded to give me forms to sign which indicated that I would be liable for any fees the insurance did not cover. I said fine and signed. They then told me that my insurance would cover both cleanings and I was good to go. 2 months later I receive a bill in the mail from them. When I call them to see where this was coming from they said "the cleaning you requested was not covered by your insurance." When I mentioned that I specifically requested that they check this prior to my doing it they said "you signed a form stating that you are responsible for any fees the insurance doesn't cover." I never should have signed the form but they never should have said I was covered.

I think Sage Dental has great personnel. My phone call wait was very short and the staff answered me right away with any answers to my questions and any concerns I may have had. They treated me with the best 5 star customer service that any potential customer would expect. They greeted me politely and warmly and made me feel super comforted over the phone. They made me feel comfortable with genuine care. Sabrina made sure all my questions were answered. I enjoyed speaking with her as if she was a close family friend and her service was exceptional. I know that any phone call I make in the future that she’s guarantee I’ll be helped and have any issues or concerns cleared for me. She took her time and didn’t rush me at all when I would want to verify any of my concerns were correct.

Been a patient at Sage Dental for several years. Excellent preventative cleanings. Some minor touch up repairs that were done with great skill and look natural. Staff is friendly, professional and proficient.

THE WORST! I was advised to get a crown on my first appointment with this Sage office. I took the advise, proceeded with the crown procedure. MONTHS later, I am still praying that this temporary crown does not fall out because this office is a complete disaster. I have had TWO appointments scheduled to get the permanent crown placed. The first appointment, when I showed up, they said "Oh, we gave your appointment away because you didn't confirm". I was never called or texted an option to confirm so there went a 1/2 day of work lost so I could attend an appointment that was given away. 2nd appointment, show up, they made me wait 20 minutes to tell me that they couldn't place the crown because they didn't have the needed materials to put the crown in. Another 1/2 day of work lost because they didn't have the courtesy to call me in advance and advise me of THEIR ERROR. I have been calling and calling to try to get the appointment scheduled and get my crown placed but it seems absolutely impossible. Meanwhile, I have paid over $700 to Sage dental and cannot get resolution. This may be a good place for a basic cleaning but if you value your time, money, and teeth....don't do anything other than basic preventive maintenance at this place, this is not a place to have major dental work done.
