Sage Dental of Downtown Orlando

everything was fantastic. Except I came here based on the affordability the sage dental commercial led me to believe. It's no different then regular dentist. my biggest let down was the teeth cleaning lady making fun of my teeth to the dental assistant. Literally laughing right over my face! ( not knowing I suffer from bulimia) I wanted to get up and leave right then and there. I was so upset and she knew it. she had the audacity to asked me if I'm OK because I looked lost. What the heck!?
I really liked this office but how that lady made me feel is why I hate going to the dentist and won't be coming back to this one.

This is one of the cleanest and professional dental offices I have visited. The staff especially Sakiya and Dr. Alvarez were so sweet, helpful and patient with my husband as a new patient. They ensure that you are comfortable, aware of procedures and processes. We feel very good about continuing to get dental work and treatment there. Thank you!❤

Greedy people, they don’t tell you what you are paying for until you ask why and it turns out they charge you for extra things that weren’t even discussed. They CONSTANTLY call you to confirm your appointment that you’ve already confirmed. Gets annoying very quickly. Went in and the hygienist treated my husband as if he were a child. I decided not to get my cleaning done and they were PUSHING for them to reschedule my appointment and not for me to do it on my own. Very disappointed with the staff here.

1. Office does not care about your time.
-We received several text messages confirming appointments
- took online covid form
-Waited three months for an appointment
- never called to cancel

2. Front desk was extreme rude.
- no sorry for them canceling- tried to reschedule for December (another 3 month wait)
-told us they didn't care - they are too busy for us
- Not even a sorry for canceling
- took a half day from work.
- told us they didn't care, it's not their fault that the text service sent us reminders of our appointment

The people at Sage Dental are awesome! The dentist office is not always a great experience but Dr Alvarez and his team do what they can to make everyone feel comfortable and taken care of. I’ve had cleanings and emergency procedures done here and they’re always flexible in fitting me in. If you’re in the marketing for a new dentist in the area, I highly recommend this Sage office!

The first time I went they told me I needed 4 fillings then I came back and they told me I didn’t need fillings anymore. Instead they tried pressuring me into a deep cleaning that IS NOT covered by insurance. This is the same issue everyone is having and will continue to happen. They will charge you for things you don’t need and can’t give an accurate diagnosis. The dentist are hired out of college with no experience. BE WARNED!

Astrid is the greatest hygienist I have ever had since I left the active military. She takes great care of her patients. Go Astrid! The clinic is clean, and the staff is so friendly. Great place to take care of your teeth 🦷 needs.

This office is close to my work downtown, very convenient. They work on the timeline agrerd upon. The staff is great! Their not about doing unnecessary procedures, but helping me to maximize my long term dental health with a treatment plan. Super friendly! Sakiya does a great job managing this location.

I came in for my first appointment for a general check up and schedule a follow up for a cleaning, but didn’t get to do either. My appointment time was 2pm. I waited over an hour before I got frustrated and just left. After waiting for 45 minutes the receptionist said “someone will be right with you.” She was nice, but didn’t offer an explanation as to why it was taking so long. Someone came in around 2:47 signed In for their appointment and were called almost immediately. After that I just left. I was really annoyed. I would understand if they were super busy but they didn’t look very busy and even so they should let people know if the wait time is going to be more than 30 minutes when they’re walking in.

Competent and helpful staff. They greatly assisted in getting paperwork from my Mother's primary care physician and in comparing dental insurance/discount program options. Will reserve judgment on dental and periodontal treatment outcomes until after they have been received.
