Sage Dental of Downtown Orlando

I made an appointment for a routine semi-annual visit and showed up for it. Sage Dental at 404 E. Central Blvd, downtown Orlando, showed my treatment plan to me which included 2 types of pictures, panoramic and intraoral (regular) series. They explained that they need both types of pictures, but my insurance company would pay for one type of pictures only, so I would have to pay for the other type. I was told by the office manager, Ms. T. Valencia, that all dentists need both types of pictures, though I explained I never encountered this situation in my many years of seeing dentists. Ms. Valencia then told me that this dentist needs both types of pictures, and he would not agree to do my routine treatment if I did not agree to pay for the second type of pictures. I called my insurance company and the representative from the dental section said they never heard of both types of picture being needed, and recommended that I go to another dentist. So I did! Was this a profit-making ploy? Shame on them!

I always thought I had a good dentists since I never had a cavity and have a healthy smile, but an emergency brought to light that past dentists had neglected to properly clean and remove plaque beneath the gum line, to the point of having periodontal disease. I had a lot of anxiety when I went to my first scheduled deep teeth cleaning with Sage - but all my worry fell away with the amazing care I received from the Sage Dental Team. The ladies at the front desk were so warm and welcoming, the dentist was professional and funny (which helped put me at ease), and the Dental Hygienists were informative and relentless - they got every last bit of that plaque out of my gum line. They were awesome.
By the time my regular dentist could find time to see me for my emergency, my teeth were already taken care of by Sage Dental. Needless to say, I switched. Sage Dental in Downtown Orlando and the staff have consistently taken great care of me.

I have NEVER been happier to go to the dentist. Sage the downtown office in particular is the BEST. Dr. Suite is so sweet and professional. Mindy is hilarious and the sweetest ever. Haley at the front desk is a doll along with Joni. Micheal is also very nice and professional. I have had some awful experiences with dentist offices and could not be happier that the last place was so awful and I ended up finding this gem. Highly recommend to any and everyone. Thank you all and especially Dr. Suite and Mindy for being understanding and genuinely concerned about my well being and comfort. Dr. Suite may have very well saved my life by sending me to the hospital on my first visit. I had a very bad infection and upon entering the hospital they ended up treating me for several things. If she hadn't of sent me God only
knows. This is the best dentist in town.

Things have definitely changed.

I visited the facility for tooth pain. After waiting almost two (2) hours on my first visit, I was informed that I needed a referral for another office to do the treatment, I left in the same state I arrived. After my examination, the process for being released took 45 minutes. After 45 minutes I decided to leave as I had another doctors appointment. I was informed only one person (Esther) could process me for leaving as they are implementing a new process, that they themselves frequently commented in front of me was ineffective. I left and was called a week later on the treatment plan. I then had to revisit the facility as I was provided the wrong referral for the treatment center.

Upon my second visit, I had an appointment on 6/24 at 11 am. I received a call from Kimberly when I arrived at the facility at 10:55 am stating that I was scheduled for a crown with the wrong doctor and there was nothing they could do for me. This caused me a major inconvenience, not only for the discomfort from the treatment but calling 5 minutes before my visit to cancel and tell me there’s nothing that could be done. I took time off my work schedule, submitting time off that was already difficult, to then be told at the last minute that they have to change it for a different day, again 5 min before my appointment.

The customer service in the facility is unprofessional, unorganized, inconsiderate of their patients time and needs, and has become a major inconvenience. Their procedures/process is ineffective and costly to the people who visit their office. I have never received such poor service from a dental office. I would not recommend this facility to anyone seeking treatment.

If I could rate them 0 I would. First of all I brought my elderly mother today for her appointment that I set. Well setting this appointment I asked if I would be able to come in with her. I got in reply a yes only one per patient. I go in and the lady like is she with you? She has to sit in the car… meanwhile I’m wondering why that wasn’t said on the phone when I asked? Now I took off to sit in a care and not hear what my mother needs to understand. Waste of an office as well

My wife and I were the first two patients of the day. I had many questions and concerns about many aspects of their operation but they were very professional throughout my visit. Even when I was difficult, they were polite and nice. In the reviews you will see that many people complain about being forced to get deep cleaning while they don’t need it. I visit the dentist at least once a year and I wasn’t recommended a deep clean. This leads me to believe that those patients who complain may in fact need deep cleaning.

The dentist recommended 2 minor fills for me and their pricing for fills are a little over a hundred dollars. In my honest opinion this is a fair price. I’m giving 4 stars only because their x-ray setup is outdated and labor intensive.

My experience was amazing. Right from point of entry. Front office staff are polite and attentive. All of the employees in the back, hygienist, assistants etc; are very professional and amicable. I was very scared as I have not been to the dentist in a long while. The Doctor was comforting and assured me I would be ok. My treatment was great. I will never go to another dentist. Please if you want a great experience in every aspect, call them!

The customer service number is a joke! They will hang up on you tell you one thing and it’s different in the office. Liars and thieves!
