Sage Dental of Downtown Orlando

Terrible experience with this company. Booked an appointment for a regular cleaning, and after they take xrays is when they tell you that the cleaning is not until the second appointment, and then you have to wait to get on the hygienist’s schedule.

After telling me I have no cavities and that my cleaning is covered 100% by my insurance, they wanted to charge me $169.99 (after a discount) for “an irrigation system,” fancy tooth paste and some mouthwash. Their words were, “well the mouthwash we use is excellent and even kills coronavirus!” There you have it folks! Go to sage dental to be Covid free ;)

The staff was very friendly and the doctor seemed very knowledgeable, unfortunately, they just work for another soul-less corporation who is just in it for the money. Stick to small businesses, people.

Well, I don’t like to give negative review but is the only way for improvement. It was my first visit today and I know there was going to be at least an hour or hour and half with the cleaning. Didn’t happened, my appointment was at 10:00AM and I got there at 9:40 with all my paper done and signed, it was 10:25 when they call me for the X-ray, doctor check and hygienist and at 11:20AM, yes 11:20 they came to me to reschedule my appointment for the cleaning, they never told me about two separate work done because I was waiting for the cleaning too. Never in my life take me more then one hour for everything even my blood pressure went up, stressed mi out. Let see how Friday is going to be because I have no choice to do my cleaning. Sorry but better communication please

Most reviews online about Sage Dental weren’t very good until I found the their downtown office. I was skeptical to say the least for my first visit. Now I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Alvarez and the rest of his team at the downtown Orlando office. I’ve had everything from cleanings to tooth extractions done at Sage Dental. The front office explained the costs in detail before and after each visit so there were no surprises financially, the place is extremely clean, and the dental work was exactly as promised. The care of Dr. Alvarez and his helpful staff has been outstanding. 👍👍

First Time was great, straight forward and quick service. Times after that they were always trying to up sale me. All of the up sales were "urgent" and had to be that visit. Staff kept trying to say we had discussed issue we had previously never discussed. At one point this past visit, the hygienist said my sons teeth were awesome, no issues. The dentist came in and said he needed three fillings. They are no longer being straightforward and helpful. :( Was hoping for better

I had to change my review. I was pleased by my service. My dentist was polite, respectful & did a great job. However my wife had a less than desirable experience. The dentist she seen lied, made things up in an attempt to charge way more than a fair price by claiming certain extra procedures were necessary when a 2nd & 3rd dentist at other locations said were not accurate & had my wife in tears, worried sick & extremely stressed out. Not having dental insurance especially made it very wrong, knowing she had plenty of money saved they attempted to exploit her by almost $10,000 more work than needed & made her extremely self conscious thinking she had severely neglected her dental hygiene when she is even more meticulous in her brushing & flossing habits than I am. Although she was told the 1 dentist that tried to scam her has been fired, proceed with caution & as with anything else you can always get a 2nd opinion at another consult elsewhere. Sorry Sage, I appreciate what you did for me personally but when my wife went I felt like I has mislead her or wasted her time/$ because of her bad experience(s). Also I can say though it had taken way longer than it should have they did end up reimbursing her what she was owed finally. My experience was 5 star. Hers was 1. Hence my new 3 star revies. 1 bad apple can spoil a bunch. Good luck!

I have never been comfortable with a dentist until I started coming here. I have since moved 2 hours away and I will still drive here to see Dr. Alvarez because he is so awesome. He actually takes the time to go over everything with me and let's me make decisions. No ultimatums here. The staff is amazing too, the secretaries and the hygienists.

As a new patient I was able to get a same day appointment for extreme pain. I was taken back almost immediately and seen by the team. The office manager was so kind and went out of her way to get me scheduled for a follow up visit for an extraction. She definitely wanted to help in any way she could! Everyone was friendly and helpful!

Best dentist experience I have ever had. The office is organized, clean and looks brand new. The staff was extremely polite and the office manager Sakiaya was personal and explain everything to me. My hygienist Erica was the best I have had, ever. Ericaand Sabrina were polite, funny, informative and work with my schedule. Overall, the best office I’ve been too and willl continue to use this location for all future needs.

Very clean and kind environment! Dr. Alvarez has been kind and caring on all of my visits. He has helped clear up all my dental questions and referred me to a great orthodontist. Erica has also been VERY helpful on all my cleanings. I would recommend Sage Dental and Dr. Alvarez to anyone who is looking for a great dentist.

I was looking for a well-rated dentist that accepted my dental insurance, and during my lenghty search, I came accross Sage Dental of Downtown Orlando. It was very easy to make my appointment and the receptionists were very friendly. The office is clean and modern. I was able to have my dental examination, my x-rays, and my cleaning done all in one appointment, and the best part was that it was very affordable. The wait time was appropriate, it would have been less if I didn't need approval from my cardiologist before a procedure. Dr. Alvarez and the hygienist were very nice, gentle, and knowledgeable. I will definately come back and I would recommend this dentist. I have already let my family and friends know about him. Keep up the good work!
