Dr. Dugan has been absolutely wonderful. It had been years since I had been to a dentist and very nervous. Him and his staff are warm, kind and made me feel very much at ease!!! Highly recommend!

Nothing has suffered in the time between this appointments and one prior. Island dental is a terrifically run facility; state of the art equipment; competent and pleasant staff and professionals ar every level. The hands down best dentist I have had the pleasure of experiencing in The 60 + years I have been taken for check ups and braces as well.

Dr Dugan is so awesome! He was able to see me for a toothache as a walk in patient, I didn't wait long & was able to schedule a root canal the following week. He & his hygienist/assistant Dez were very nice & comforting throughout the entire ordeal that took longer than expected. The entire office staff from checking in to checking out are warm & friendly. Highly recommend Island Dental!!!

I have two children that are new to the office. One boy and one girl. They both had dental work done and were both very pleased with their experience. I personally was pleased with the staff. The ladies were all very polite and the office was comfortable enough. I definitely would recommend them to others.

I discovered Island Dental years ago and I am so glad that I did. Dr. Lee is my dentist his so gentle kind caring I can’t imagine seeing any other dentists. I have an issue with my gums and I have to have deep cleaning done three times a year and the hygienist is amazing she’s very into in with my needs and has me get through the uncomfortable procedure.

Dr. Gene Lee is an excellent dentist with superb skills and he genuinely cares about his patients. Shantel is the best oral hygienist I had over the past several decades.

The team really cares, not just there doing a job. Chantel is efficient, gentle, and meticulous in her hygienist work - so appreciated! The communication and energy of the whole crew puts me at ease.

I recently had some veneers done by this dentist office that has been the most shocking and worst service I have ever experienced, an absolute nightmare to say the least. They got it wrong four times with the wrong size permanent teeth they had made and delivered from the mainland. How it works is they put temporary teeth in made from acrylic while you wait for the permanent porcelain teeth to arrive that takes week at a time to deliver. Without any exaggeration the temporary teeth fell out three times after me going into see them again and again and again and one time I almost swallowed them and choked, just by simply brushing my teeth lightly they all came off. After me experiencing all these issues, they eventually changed the glue to a stronger cement when doing the temporary teeth and that made it all seem like I was their guinea pig who they experimented on because they have little or no experience doing the veneers. The manager there was unprofessional and very rude and offered no discount, or any compensation for the many weeks of me going back and forth with no teeth in and taking time off work to schedule a three hour appointment each time to only find out I wasted my time as they got the size wrong on the final porcelain over and over again four times back and forth with the wrong size teeth that I waited months for. They offered no apology at all or any compensation even though I had to walk around with no teeth for a weeks before they could fit me in for another appointment. I went to them for whiter teeth and ended up walking around with NO teeth. To make matters worse they also changed their mind two days later after they first quoted me about the cost of the veneers that went from 5k to 12k because they said they made a mistake in the billing. After weeks of negotiation I eventually got them down to 7.5k for just the veneers on the bottom teeth, but to be honest I would have gone to another dentist if I had known about the trauma and turmoil they put me through.

To make matters even more worse I was also told by the same dentist I had many cavities top and bottom and more crowns that urgently needed work as soon as possible to avoid a root canal that estimated over ten thousand dollars of urgent work. But after I left their office I went to another dentist a few days later for a second opinion and they only found one cavity that would cost me $250 and not $10,000 like they said it would. I didn't want to write this bad review but because of all the mistakes and what I would call possible fraudulent behavior, I strongly felt the public need to know about this dental service. I took pictures of my teeth when they fell out many times and I have all records and proof of the bad service I received should anyone need to contact me. If I added up the money I lost from having time off work and the cost of the dental work it would be over $20,000 dollars. I am not mentioning the exact name of the dentist on this platform but I can give more details if you want to contact me for more proof. I hate bad reviews but this company island dental on the corner of Dairy road and Hanna HWY have well deserved this bad review. Maybe If they offered me my money back and didn't say I needed over $10,000 worth of dental work that was simply not true at all, I would not of wrote this review.
