I have never posted a review before but because I am so happy that I chose the Hawaii Family Dental Clinic in Kihei, I've decided to do so. Dr. Thomas and his team of dental assistants Darlene, Jenni and receptionist Annabelle are so professional and exceptionally courteous. Dr. Thomas makes you feel so comfortable and explains every step of the procedure he is doing. I would highly recommend Dr. Thomas, you will be glad you chose him and the Hawaii Family Dental Clinic!...Aloha

Excellent dental clinic on Maui. Dental technicianβs were great for my teeth cleaning. Dr Thomas works on your teeth as if they were his own and keeps you βComfortably Numbβ. He is working with my schedule to get my partialβs completed on time. Easy to work with! Office staff is exceptional as well.

They are clear about cost of services prior to sitting in the chair. They work with your insurance company. Christy, my hygienist, is the absolute BEST!

Dr. Thomas is so sweet and heβs a very good dentist. I have a small mouth and he was so patient replacing an old crown that had a piece break off. I always look forward to getting my teeth cleaned by Christy too. She is thorough and gives great pointers on brushing. She also listens to you if you have a comment or question. I always appreciate that! The only problem Iβve had there is issues with the front office staff around insurance which was totally ridiculous.

We recently moved to Maui and we are so happy we found Dr. Thomas. He and his staff are friendly, knowledgeable, caring and professional. Yana is an excellent dental hygienist. She has a great touch and makes the cleaning process so easy.

I have always been happy with the service here until my last visit. I went in to have a crown replaced and the assistant never explained what they were doing. They installed a temporary crown and never checked the bite.
The crown broke off 3 days later, even though, I was not chewing on it. I went back and complained to the Dentist about this and the fact that he never checked the bite either but I was just met with a blank stare. No apology or explanation whatsoever. This was very disappointing considering I have always had good service up until the point.

Had a dental emergency on a Saturday while vacationing in Maui!! They got me in first thing in the morning, and took care of me right away. They were quick, friendly, and took great care of me. I cannot thank them enough.

This place is a hot mess. They delayed my sonβs tooth extraction to the point where I had to find a different practice for an emergency appointment. The new practice was shocked that Hawaii Family Dental didnβt even prescribe him antibiotics for his tooth infection. Add to that - while I was getting my wisdom teeth removed, their oral surgeon took the opportunity of having a captive listener to tell me all about how mass shootings occur as a result of women being allowed to work. He said that when that happened, there was nobody left to take care of the kidsβ¦
And be prepared to wait around forever while the dentist bounces around from patient to patient.
Hawaii Family Dental greedily takes on too many patients, and is therefore unable to care for any of them the way patients deserve to be treated.
