Everyone is so helpful and kind always. Bobbie handling billing & appointments is very patient& accommodating.. all are are pleasant even under covid stress. ,including Rowena & Rayna at the front desk Cristie, the hygienist is always gentle & thorough, and answers my questions with care .On the flip side, this is the 3rd time my dentist was not there as expected , ,and nobody notified me ahead of time that my exam & check -up would NOT be happening ,and I have a pain issue that needs. attention ASAP.. so.. We rescheduled. So even though this is frustrating and an inconvenience for me to get there... "BLESSED ARE THE FLEXIBLE...FOR THEY SHALL NEVER BE BENT OUT OF SHAPE! Karen Stover

Everyone at Hawaii Family Dental in Kihei always has a smile in their face and have been so welcoming since my first visit! Dr. Barba was incredibly knowledgeable. He had an answer for every one of my many questions and took the time to explain it in a way that I can understand. He and his assistants are extremely gentle and thorough. Chastity was so helpful, she made sure I got the most out of my insurance and helped me schedule appointments that fit in with my work hours. I’m so grateful I found this dental office and I’m looking forward to going back!

Was recently visiting Maui when a rear crown came out. Luckily I was able to save the crown. On a referral from a friend living on Maui, I called Hawaii Family Dental and they were able to schedule me in the next day (a Saturday). The office has a very friendly and helpful staff who went above and beyond to help verify my out of state dental insurance. After a few x-rays, Dr. Thomas came in, assured me everything looked okay and was able to glue the crown back in. I appreciated his gentle and professional demeanor. Would definitely recommend this practice based on my experience.

Hawaii Family Dental in Kihei is my favorite dentist office! My Dentist and all their staff are very friendly. I recently had two wisdom teeth extractions and wished I had gotten them all extracted from here because it was the fastest and most efficient wisdom tooth extraction I've ever had. Besides the extraction, I've had several fillings and cleanings as well, all of my experiences here have been five star! I am normally dentophobic, however, the staff at this establishment are so sweet and kind, they put me t ease right away. Dr Thomas is the BEST dentist I have ever had. He is not only kind and soft spoken, he is very gifted in his clinical practice, I did not feel any pain at from the novocaine injections to the drilling and filling of two cavities. I highly recommend this practice.

I moved from the mainland and I was looking for a dentist in Maui. I found Hawaii Family dental and I called them and schedule an appointment and they were able to get me in very quickly. They took a full mouth x-ray and gave me great recommendation for future dental plans. The staff, dentists, hygienists where all very friendly and professional and answered all my questions. I am very happy with the services provided I even got a rose upon leaving!

My dentist recently left to start his own practice, I can’t remember the name of my new dentist at the moment but she was very nice and took time to talk with me. During my visit, the dental assistants were fun and friendly. Very professional and they knew exactly what to do. Rayna was great at helping to pick out the colors for my temporary crown and Dr. Barbra was excellent at making me feel comfortable while he was doing the core build up and the placing of the temporary crown. I also had my cleaning with Kailey. She was really good and gentle while cleaning my teeth and she was very informative when I asked questions, such as, “What is the reason people need SRP’s?” She answered with lots of information that I could understand. This officer full of friendly staff that is willing to make sure our smile is the best that it can be.

Dr. Mello is soo nice, kind, and CARING! She goes the EXTRA MILE to accommodate my needs and I am VERY GRATEFUL! My hygienist and all of the assistants have also been EXCELLENT! The staff is also VERY organized, courteous and PROFESSIONAL—-I don’t think I’ve ever waited longer than 10 minutes! I have only great things to say about the care I’ve received! Thank you everyone! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
