I’m so happy to be part of Hawaii Family Dental in Kihei. From the Receptionist desk to seeing Dr. Thomas was amazing!! I get so nervous but they take that nervousness away to the point I feel comfortable!! Especially with Hygienist Yana!! She’s the sweetest!! She the best at her job!! I recommend Hawaii Family Dental in Kihei!!! They are overall the definition of Ohana and they will forever give you the “I GOT YOU” or the ALOHA vibe........

We have had the best experience at Hawaii Family Dental with Dr Hanks. He is so great with both my young children. He makes going to the dentist fun and exciting and they actually ask when they can go back! They love going there. He is a great Dentist! I highly recommend him and this office. The staff is great and always so friendly as well! Mahalo Dr Hanks!

Very friendly staff from receptionist, to assistant, to dentist, to checkout. They were very efficient once I was back in the exam room. They explained everything in detail and made sure my questions were answered. I had an early morning appointment and didn't get back into the exam room until 35 minutes after my appointment, yet they apologized and explained they had some morning delays. I also had to wait 15 minutes after my appointment to checkout (which was basically just making my next appointment). They would get five stars without the delays (which again could have been an unusual occurence since they seem to run efficiently overall). I would recommend them!

Clean and Safety so as a customer i appreciated everyone being checked for temperature before entering.. social distancing once inside was also in use. Everyone was wearing a mask and my Hygienist Christy was very professional and following and exceeding my expectation with my Health and hers in mind. Excellent new Dentist we had examine our teeth and my teeth are clean and I felt safe while in the dentist chair. Thank you to all your staff. Aloha Amy and Bob

Nobody likes going to the dentist, right? Except I actually enjoyed my visit here, even though I had a cavity removed! Dr. Jeffrey is so kind and funny, and all of the office staff is so sweet, competent, and friendly... it didn't feel like "going to the dentist" at all. Mahalo Dr. Jeffrey and staff! :)

They know what there doing and definitely keep you pain free and feeling secure. Believe me Iv had a lot of work done... 4 root canals 2 jawline lengthening and numerous feelings and crowns. And I have to say I’m feeling good every time I leave there! Every time. So that has to say something... Especially going the dentist!

I’ve never been as frustrated with a doctor’s office as I’ve been with the HFD office in Kihei. Out of all the options on Maui, I choose this office because of the great reviews, but my experience was anything but “5-Star”. I have nothing bad to say about the dentist or his work, but the office staff and team that helped me leave a lot to be desired in terms of competency and communication. I wanted a teeth cleaning, and what I got instead were pricey X-rays, scans and another appointment to fill a cavity (which I understand were necessary in some sense), however; despite me explaining clearly that I was coming for a teeth cleaning each time I was at the office, they failed to schedule it with the other two appointments they made me. So now I have X-rays, scans, a cavity filled, but still no teeth cleaning unless I choose to go back a third time. Additionally, the assistant in charge of my tooth scan could not troubleshoot the machine, which resulted in my appointment running over. Not happy. Would not recommend.
