Northgate Family Dental

Love the staff at Northgate. They were able to get me fit in on quick notice because a dental issue arose quickly. They found a way to get my cleaning done same day while addressing all my needs. Dr Z is amazing, she caught a dental issues I didn't even know were present and got it treated quickly so it didn't cost me thousands in the long run. The staff is knowledgeable and very friendly. I would highly recommend this office.

Always love the experience I have here and it doesn't change. The staff is polite and experienced. They seem to have my best care in mind. This particular time I had my kiddos in for their first appointments and it wouldn't have gone as smoothly as it did without the actions of the staff. They knew exactly how to keep them calm and involved in their own oral health.

When I first became a patient at Northgate, my mouth was in bad shape. I had seen a dentist maybe twice in 20 years or so. They didn't have a lot to work with. Yet they never judged or made me feel awkward about my poor dental hygiene.
I knew that getting my mouth in better shape ( good shape is very doubtful at this point) would be a long, painful process. But Northgate made it suck a lot less. They are very patient and understanding. The pain was a lot less that I was expecting, and the prices seem reasonable.

I have been to Northgate two times now and I am less than impressed to put it mildly. My first appointment, I trusted their judgement and ended up spending money on dental care I probably did not need and told me it would cost less than what they charged me. When I called about it, it took them over a week to get back to me and I still don’t understand why I was charged more.

They also kept pushing Invisalign, which I am not going to get but my trusted dentist for years (in my hometown) has never mentioned that once. Definitely seems like a money grab on top of all the other things.

The second time, I went in for two fillings and waited over 45 minutes passed my dental appointment, so I left. The front desk lady said they were a few minutes behind, and I know it’s not her fault but that is more than a few minutes.

My previous dentist is no longer in my network unfortunately, but I would drive 3 hours to them just to have person-centered dental care.

Very happy to find this dental facility. Dr. Z is very nice and knowledgeable. Amber is awesome and Kyle was great with my kids! Would definitely recommend their services.

Super pushy about unnecessary procedures. I inquired about veneers ONCE just to get information and every time after that, the dentist tried to push me into scheduling it. She also couldn't show me any photos of any veneers that she had done previously. On top of that, they also told me I needed a gum graft. Then, they told me I had 5 cavities. I had 3 filled at one time and during, she said I'd need to return to actually have a crown put on. They gave me an estimated cost ($1k) and when I questioned it, they lowered the estimate on the spot by several hundred dollars (how is that even possible??). I went to a different dentist in town to get a 2nd opinion and they said I did NOT have 2 other existing cavities and didn't need a crown at all.

Do not come to this place if you want complete disorganization and horrifying service. My fiancé was schedule to get his wisdom teeth taken out, and the office cancelled on him twice, including 3 hours before his appointment. Once he finally was able to get them removed, someone wrote the wrong notes and said he was there to get his top wisdom teeth removed and his bottom MOLAR! So he almost had a wrong/unnecessary procedure had he not clarified that he was only to get his wisdom teeth removed. I do not understand how something like that can happen and get away with it. Like oops sorry, what a silly mistake. Completely unacceptable and we will no longer be patients here. Would give zero stars if I could. I have never seen such disorganization at a healthcare office before in my life. Completely unacceptable.

Wasn't the best experience. Periodontal cleaning the first visit, they know how to steer you away from what you actually wanted to done. They have nice fancy equipment that insurance doesn't cover. The dentist was very pushy on what I needed done immediately. More like scare tactics. Not sure I will be back.

My first visit was a little iffy due to confusion about my appointment and that i wanted to have them as my new dentist, but I did go back for my cleaning today (getting back to exam/cleaning same appt). It was great! I did have about a 15 minute wait, which isn't too bad. I received excellent care from everyone I came in contact with today. I'm now getting previous dental work fixed, so I'll be there for a few more visits. I'm confident in my dentist and her team!

10/10 amazing experience for my4 year old daughter. Staff was absolutely phenomenal, made her feel so comfortable and involved in the entire appointment process, and eased all her first appointment nerves. So happy we chose Northgate Family Dental. We are forever patients now
