I am terrified of dentists. That's a little awkward to admit, because I'm a little too old to be afraid of them. I had a bad experience when I was 16, avoided dentists for TEN years, and finally the Southern Pines office of Carolina Dentist has made me comfortable enough to face my fears.
I've been in for two cleanings and two fillings since first appointment. Everyone who works there is kind and understanding of my anxiety. They get scheduled for an appointment very quickly. They're very straightforward about how much everything will cost before any procedure, which I appreciate, because no one likes surprise prices after getting their teeth drilled. The dentists are gentle, and follow your lead as to what will make you feel comfortable. For instance, I like to be told what they're doing, and what to expect each step of the way through a procedure. They're so kind and tell me what everything will feel like before a tool touches my teeth.
I honestly cannot recommend them higher. I'm still afraid of dentists, but much less anxious to go to Carolinas Dentist.

The staff was helpful, but the atmosphere of the office was not very professional. The music was loud and distracting, they did not require that I completed my paperwork, and the dental assistant seemed disinterested and spoke over the doctor assessing me.
They were very conveniently located as well as being open beyond normal business hours, and the office visit was a quick one. They were also reasonably priced considering that I currently do not have insurance.
Overall, I would recommend this place for the cheap/convenience factors but would advise to go elsewhere for a professional and care full experience :)

This was my first visit to this practice after moving to Pinehurst a few months ago. It was an excellent visit with both the dentist and dental hygienist. The folks at the front desk were also very knowledgeable and, helpful, and telephone contacts prior to the visit went very smoothly.

This place has far exceeded my expectations every single time we come. Every staff member we encounter is awesome and goes above and beyond to ensure your experience is a good one. My 4 year old had to have a few procedures done and they were so kind and patient with her, she actually wanted to come back to see her new friends and now she wants to be a dentist when she grows up.

Outstanding service! Quick for the service I needed, friendly and very professional. Very happy with my first appointment so I did not hesitate to lock in a second one. Did not have any issues with them getting my insurance information and ensuring that I knew associated costs after insurance coverage even before the service was provided.

We have never been in this place but this afternoon I called them to make an appointment for my mom for their Free dental care I saw in internet and the girl that answer me gave me an appointment and then second time I called them just to see if they could also gave me one because was too good to be true but right 2 minutes they gave me my moms appointment they canceled her saying she's been there before and it's just for new patients my mom it's been once on the dentist and that was on Troy she's not from here so
I don't understand how she's been there before if the first girl gave us the appointment. Really don't make any sense. Not recommend it
