Love Dr. Pope & Dr. Hill! Everyone is super friendly and makes you feel comfortable. Amy, Paige, Edwin, all the ladies that help with check in and paying, very nice. I'm so happy to have found a dentist I can trust! Would highly recommend!

First off,, I'd been a patient here for a few years. Went in to have a tooth fixed was suggested to get a crown. That did not solve my issue. Had to go back 3 days later after excruciating pain. Was told, well, let's try a root canal, I thought that at first anyway, he said. So ended up paying for a service that had to be undone. Calling trying to discuss my bill for over 3 months. Been getting that they are busy and I can leave a message, but as soon as I hang up I get a text asking me why I am contacting them. I don't want to talk with a business through text. Very unprofessional. No response either way. Then had to wait another month or so because they had a fire and were "extremely busy" trying to get back in their building. Called this week and for the first time spoke with someone who was overjolly to be working in a dentist office. When I asked her my question, she suddenly would have to call me back. That was 4 days ago. Called and asked for the office manager. You'd thought I'd called and asked for Joe Biden! Conveniently they will get back to me. My next step, BBB. If they want a payment, I need an explanation for my charges. Had recommended several family and friends, but have since told them don't go there.

Dr. Drake is my favorite for many reasons. One is that he pays attention beyond the actual reason for your visit. He also has the best attitude every time I come in, and makes me feel valued and comfortable. The entire staff is friendly and professional very time!

Dr. Pope and his staff are great. He noticed an old filling that I had done 25 years ago and recommended replacing. I made an appointment at 7 AM and was out within 45 minutes. I would definitely recommend Gastonia family dentistry to anyone. He also takes Great care of my children when they visit!

The staff at GFD are exceptional! My 3 pre-school age children are terrified of the dentist but Emily, Dr. Drake + the entire staff were so patient and made their experience fun as well as age appropriate! (They got to shoot Dr. Drake with water guns!) My kids also loved the fun colored scrubs they were wearing as opposed to the usual all black + they are excited for their next cleaning!
You have to choose them for your dental care!!

Update: Dr. Drake is awesome!! I had my first cavities everrrr and I had them filled the other week. I was having some discomfort a week later, so I went back in. Dr. Drake was so nice, and made sure that the tooth was better before having me leave. If you are afraid of going to the dentist this is the place to go! Everyone is great, and they make you feel comfortable!
My first visit here was great. I have not been to the dentist in years, so I was super nervous about going. After reading many reviews, I decided to make an appointment. The entire staff made me comfortable, and the office is very nice. They explained everything in detail, and I can honestly say I am no longer afraid to go to the dentist! Thanks so much!!!!! :)

This is a great dentist office. All new technology without paying a premium price. They honor my dental insurance. My hygienist is quick, thorough, and makes sure I am comfortable. That is also important if you have children. The dentist is also personable. He tells you how your teeth are and gives you options. I won't be leaving!

Front desk was awesome, very friendly. X-rays weren't too bad, although I did tell them I was nervous and gag reflex, would've liked numbing gel before x-rays. Cleaning went well but again if you have nervous patient, ease tension by music or nice screen. Lady going over my plan & treatment urged me to have all work done before getting teeth whitening. All I wanted was white teeth at the moment. It's a lot to take in. I'll be back for cleaning but whitening I'll go elsewhere

I called ahead as this was my first time visiting this office, and the receptionist was able to schedule me in. When I arrived the staff were extremely nice in getting me prepared to see Dr. Pope. After speaking with the Dr., it was obvious why the staff were so pleasant. Shanda was the dental assistant who facilitated Dr. Popes request, and she was simply amazing! I’d recommend anyone who needs a dentist to visit this location.
