I have been going to this dentist for years. I even had my parents switch to them. I had a recent appointment time of 1pm. I drove from Belmont and was behind schedule. I walked in the door at 1:08pm. The front desk girl was checking me in and about to collect a fluoride pay (which I didn't want), when she was interrupted by the dental hygienist who pulled the receptionist to the side. When she returned she said she couldn't take me and I had to reschedule because it's already 10 after, the grace period passed. If she would have checked me in upon arrival instead of delaying I would have gotten my year end cleaning. I tried to let them know I came from working and I'm on my lunch break and the receptionist stated "she has things to do after the appt as well"....
It's apparent that the hygienist and receptionist has no customer service skills. I was so upset because I tried my hardest to make it there just to be turned away because the hygienist didn't want to see me. The grace period is not upon check in - it's upon arrival!!!
The dentists at this location are great, I've even had a few great hygienists and usually great experiences.... Lately my experience has been downhill... Please train your front desk receptionists and hygienists on soft skills and how a "grace" period works. I feel like they look for any reason to reschedule or cancel!!! I'm always receiving calls to reschedule my cleanings.

My dentist appointment was awesome and the staff was so very friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Briggs was a jewel she was very thorough and gentle love her thank you Gastonia Family Dentistry for taking really good care of me because going to the dentist is not one of my favorite places to be! 😄

I have been looking for a dentist for the last 4 years. After settling for a mediocre group who always seemed to be in training and unfamiliar with procedures ---I have finally found a GREAT dental group of real professionals. All dentists are highly skilled with unique skill sets. I am thoroughly impressed with everyone at this dental practice....all go above and beyond --it was a pleasure to interact with them all.

Don't go here. You'll wait 3 months for an appointment. Then six months later they'll send you a text message saying they can't find your insurance information. Everythings fine on the insurance side, but this office is quite inept with an insurance provider they're supposedly networked with. I had to pay them in cash and file my own claim. And, this office is networked. someone needs training.

I’m in town only for week. I have an emergency last night. I google at 1 am. They take me in by 1 pm the next day, today. They are awesome. Professional, efficient , friendly. What a great experience. I don’t do surveys. They are awesome.
