I do not recommend settling for this place, I did for a while, and it was a mistake. It's a bit pretentious, and it seems they focus more on ascetic than health; more on office chic than genuine quality care. You deserve better oral health care than this place offers.

Avoid, this place runs a car wash/oil change upsell scam, refused to clean my teeth unless I paid for an expensive “deep clean”. Do no harm? All before speaking to an actual dentist, many other reviews here citing same upsell BS.

Dreadful experience. Upsell dentistry. Bait and switch techniques. Non-evidence based care. Unprofessional. Present the issues in confusing and contradictory terms. When asking for explanations, I was not “allowed” to speak to a dentist.

I am a brand new Timber Dental client and my first appointment was a great experience from start to finish. It was very easy to make a new client appointment. I was able to get x-rays done, talk with my dentist in-depth about my teeth, get a thorough cleaning and advice on caring for my teeth before my next visit. The office is really beautiful and clean, there are tvs to watch on the ceiling while you’re being treated, and the chairs in the waiting room are super comfy. My dentist is great and the other staff is wonderful, but there is something a little weird about the administrative processes. I am a new patient and had to get my records moved over from my previous dentist - it took nearly 3 months. The only time I got updated was when I called them.
Then this morning when I got in for my appointment I waited over 30 minutes to be brought back to the dental area, and when I did I found out it was because they had an appointment that ran over, which is fine, but no one told me that while I was waiting in the front. I think a little better communication with patients would make this place really great.

Staff and Dr. Moody were nice, but not happy with the scheduling. My wife and I both took time off of work to drive over and hour to the NE Portland location for our new patient and cleaning appointments. We both got checkups but I was told they couldn't fit my cleaning in due to an emergency procedure that shifted their scheduling. I explained that I have to take more time off work to drive an hour back another day and how inconvenient it will be to which the only option presented was getting on a cancellation list. Not sure I'll be back as I value my time but don't feel the staff does in the same way.

They always do great reminders leading up to appointments which is nice because I am very forgetful. I don't really feel overly pressured to pay for additional services, which is nice. I love being able to watch TV during the appointment to distract from getting dental work done. Staff is pretty friendly and they do as much as they can within reason to make you comfortable :)
