Be AWARE, if you take your child to this dentist, there is a NO PARENTS policy. I don't know what parent in their right mind would send a 4 year old behind closed doors with a STRANGER for ANY reason, much less for a medical procedure that could be scary or painful. As a parent it is MY responsibility to look after my child and comfort them as well as be present for ALL medical procedures. I was appalled that this policy was not made known upfront. As it was I wasted an entire day getting to RC from out of town, and spent money on a tank of gas only to leave with no treatment. Sorry BHPD but my "policy" is to parent my own children!!!

BHPD is wonderful! Our kids love their dentists and team. They are so great with the kids and you can tell they are specialists in their field. Very knowledgeable and they all love what they do. The best!

The staff was very professional, friendly and helpful. Going to the dentist is a scary time for younger kids but the staff seems so experienced at handling this, it seems not to be a big deal!

My children received care from BHPD since they first started their dental care. They are currently 13, 10 and 9. BHPD referred my 13yo for orthodontics. Medicaid requires a referral to orthodontics and BHPD denied to complete the referral to Rapid City Orthodontics. Now that I want my 10 and 9yo consulted to orthodontics, BHPD expects me to get a referral from someone else because apparently over 8 years of service with them isn’t enough for them to give us a referral. I do not recommend them for anyone, as I firmly believe they are not in healthcare for their patients. Now I get to re-start my children’s dental care elsewhere, and I’m not pleased about that.
