Steer clear, they made me believe that I had peridontal disease when EVERYONE has it there. I paid hundreds to them to help clear up my "issue" and then went back to my previous dentist for second opinion. They showed me via xrays how healthy my gums and teeth are and how West Plano's diagnosis was totally false. I discontinued my business with them and will just wait until my insurance can change again so I can have my old dentist.

Always get a second opinion!

My experience here was the absolute worst that I have ever experienced in a dental office. The dentist recommended two services to improve the condition of my teeth, being that I was unprepared to pay for the services they recommended I asked to have them done at a later time. Mary Ann, the hygienist came in to perform my cleaning, that's when things went down hill! She immediately entered the room with a BAD attitude. She was very rude and didn't perform a through basic cleaning. She was very rough while she was in my mouth cleaning my teeth and maintained a forceful tone when asking me to "open wider" or "was I okay". I believe if you have to ask if someone is okay, then maybe you are aware that you doing things the wrong way!

Horrible experience. I'm a dentist's daughter. Staff is in training and incompetent. I've had to go back several times because the retainers cut my cheek. DON'T go there!

I was approved to add family to this dentistry 6 weeks ago.
I made an appointment about 10 days ago, and they even
called me back and said the information was deleted and
I gave the information to them for a second time.
I went today for my appointment, and they said my family and
the appointment for today did not exist in their system.
I took a whole day off of work to go to the dentist, to talk
to two rude girls in the front of the office who could care less
about proper customer service. Do not go here.

I highly recommend Sadie, at West Plano Modern Dentistry. I had a deep cleaning. She was very gentle and did a great job.

I got my tooth extraction done by Dr. Jee Yoo. It was not the easiest tooth to remove, it was a root canal with decay and infection. I also don't like medications abd wad a nervous wreck. The entire team made my experience as pleasant as getting a tooth removed could be. Dr. Yoo is very experienced and does his job very well. The staff was very professional. I would love to mention all their names. I appreciate they efforts in making me feel comfortable. From being greeted by Cornell, who has the best customer service to being escorted to my car by Christian, everyone was amazing.

I usually dont write reviews. It gotta be a real amazing experience or a real bad one. In this case, its the last of the two. I left the practice after it. I had no issues to speak of (no pain, no discomfort etc). I was told by my dentist Mitra Partow that its a little decay and we need to drill and fill one tooth. "Little" turned into a deep drilling, which is not ok but to be reasonable - it does happen. In the evening I felt pain in my tooth and the gum felt a bit swollen, which I thought is normal. The next day it was a weekend and I had more pain and big abscess formed. In the evening the abscess broke, filling my mouth with bright red blood... I had to make an emergency call to the office because I have a hardware in my back and having infection going to my blood stream is very dangerous for me, so before any dental work I get premeditated w antibiotics. After several of my calls where I was told I needed to wait till Monday, I finally got a call form my dentist. She filled up my antibiotic script. Of course after my abscess broke and after taking antibiotics, the swelling went down. On Monday I came to the office and after the check, she told me she doesnt see any problem, no infection. Then she started making excuses covering up: she was putting the fault on her assistant ( I feel bad for anyone who will be working with that doctor). She told me that I needed a crown instead of a filling and that the cavity was too deep. I asked her "why didnt you tell me this in the BEGINNING ?" She told me that its not her, its her assistant who looked at me and proposed the treatment. Really? So...I dont know if she realized that she just admitted that she, the doctor, doesnt check her ASSISTANCE proposals for treatment. And there were more excuses. Appalling, really. Instead of taking the fault on herself (because it was her who did the job btw) and saying 'yes, its a mistake, we should have proposed a different treatment' she was trying to make something up. All around wow. I am very patient, calm, and reasonable person, BUT there are limits. When I told her that I am not happy about the whole experience and that I also feel I have overhangings, she told me I insulted her and I will quote "I think your expectations are TOO high. You need to find another dentist". I was like HAH??? 1. I had no problems, no pain, nothing. 2. She did a filling, apparently did a bad job since I ended up with an abscess, bloody mouth for the whole weekend, I have to take antibiotics for 10 days - and MY expectations are too high? seriously?! AND after I was messed up - I am being told to go away and find another dentist and that SHE is being insulted ?! That is unbelievable. And guess what, OF COURSE after such experience I wouldnt come back for more.
The bottom line is in my experience: IF you want to be treated like described above, i.e. in case there is a problem and you dare come back and calmly and politely explain the issue and mention that you are not happy, she might just tell you its not her fault, you are insulting her and please, go away and find another dentist - its totally your place then!

P.S. After 7 months of issues with the tooth that above doctor "treated", swellings on and off, not being able to eat on that side, I finally went to a different dentist who told me that perhaps they didnt do good cleaning and YES, there IS an active infection under the filling. Now, I have to have a root canal and a crown...huge expense. All the above from NO initial issues but blind trust in Modern Dentistry "treatment proposal". Be aware.

I’ve been coming here for several years and have always received really great service from Dr. Partow and her team. I especially appreciate that they are upfront with procedure costs and offer good payment options. Give them a try!

Wow! Extremely surprised seeing all this negativity on this office! My family and I have been coming here for years & love this place and staff! I know the dentist isn’t anyones favorite place to come to but they do make it fun!! Sometimes we hear things we don’t like, but doesn’t mean it’s a lie!
