Comfort Dental Care & Orthodontics - Mary Esther

I did not appreciate that they asked for me to stay in the car while taking two of my 8/10 year old kids inside on their own for their first visit. They also provided services on them I did not ask for without coming out to the car while I was waiting to be called back without my permission. I understand the COVID-19 situation, but a parent should be present, so they can consent to their child services, not just do whatever they feel like to do. Also if you don’t do extractions for kids, you probably should mention that when I am scheduling appointment specifically for extraction of teeth for my kids. Simple as that the appointment would not have been scheduled... And I could have avoided all this bad experience. Not going back again ever.

Appears the dentist's here only care about how much money they can get from you by conducting themselves unethically. Went in for tooth pain and after looking at the xray, the dentist spent about 90 seconds with me tapping on my tooth. He leaves and then a young lady came in advising my options were to pay @ $2200 for a bridge (which they do not reccomend), or $5k for an implant. The dentist prescribed me an antibiotic and some pain meds and I was sent on my way. Pain was unbearable again and I went to my wife's dentist in Navarre where he actually engaged in conversation to find out exactly what was going on. After looking at the xray, he said the tooth did not seem to be infected nor did it appear to have to be removed. After having me bite on one of those film devices that leave ink or color on your teeth, he shaved off a bit of the tooth where it appeared my upper teeth were putting pressure on the side of the affected tooth and prescribed a steroid to reduce any inflammation. I haven't had any pain since and I was having severe pain on and off about every 3-4 hours previously.... it would wake me up at night. The visit to this dentist cost me $48.00. If you're having issues and want them properly addressed by a dentist who makes your health and comfort a priority over his bank account, do not use this practice. I will say that the office/admin folks have always been polite and professional.....wish I could say the same for the dentists!

My experience with Dr. Torres was quite remarkable. Dental appointments tend to cause me a great deal of anxiety, so the idea of getting braces was very worrying for me; but when I started my treatment with Dr. Torres, I realized that there was nothing to be afraid of. He’s a very personable and interesting person. The staff is amazing and super friendly. I also got to meet Dr. Vazquez since I alternated between the Mary Esther and Santa Rosa Beach offices. I’m glad we chose them.

I recently got my teeth cleaned at Comfort Dental in Mary Esther and I have to say it was a very great experience! The staff was very friendly, professional, and I was in and out relatively quickly! I would highly recommend them for all your dental needs! My experience was by far better than I’ve had at other Dentists!

Dr Crawford does such an amazing job. He has a fantastic bed side manor. I felt completely at ease. My root canal was completely pain free, including the injection.

Worst experience I've ever had. 30 minute delay with no explanation. Had a 3D image and an x-ray to prepare for a root canal. They never looked at my teeth, diagnosed the wrong tooth and wanted to charge me 3 times the going rate. This from a "in network provider" . I would never recommend comfort care dental to anyone for anything.

I normally go see Dr. Tony Clark when I’m in need of a dentist. He and his staff are amazing and any time that I have left, due to insurance changes or moves, I always learn to appreciate them more. Unfortunately, his office is closed on Fridays and I have a horrible toothache caused by a cavity that I neglected to have filled because I was waiting for insurance changes to take place. My fault! I know, but I’m in such terrible pain. So what? Why did I leave Comfort Dental a 2 star review? Unlike the others who have left comments, I found the staff that answered the phone to be anything but caring or accommodating. I just explained that I couldn’t wait until my own dentist opened his doors Monday morning, that I needed a filling. For those of you who have experienced this kind of toothache, you know!! The woman on the other end of the phone told me they didn’t have anything available until July 1st. Yikes! I said I can’t wait until Monday.. how are you going to tell me you can get me in on July 1? There is no way Dr. Clark or staff would ever do this to a patient. I guarantee that when I call Monday, they will make the time to help. So 2 star review for “Comfort Dental” leaving me out here in this excruciating pain without even taking a second to ask whether or not a dentist could see a patient with a dental emergency. And 5 stars for Dr. Tony Clark right down the road. If you need a dentist, he’s the best in this area and his staff is so kind and considerate. Just don’t get a toothache on a Friday.

The dentist was professional and kind. Unfortunately this made me feel comfortable enough to schedule an orthodontist appointment there. The staff let me know that the Orthodontist pretty much just rents space out there and doesn’t operate at that facility. I have Invisalign and need new retainers. I also asked for a quote to correct a very minor shift in my teeth, I have had Invisalign since I was 16, I’m now 32, a slight shift requiring maybe one tray would be in sufficient and the Orthodontist agreed, but he instead quoted me for a full 8 month treatment at 4,800.00. My insurance does not cover Orthodontic work and he knew that. I declined the treatment and opted for a new retainer as mine is cracked. He charges 300.00 for retainers, told me to come back at a certain time for pick up. I came back only to find that the retainers hadn’t even begun to be made yet. I asked for a refund because
I can get them cheaper (130.00) online. The Dental office staff was very kind and gave me a refund. The Dental staff is amazing, the Orthodontic staff that doesn’t usually work there is not so patient friendly. I recommend taking your family here for Dentistry, but never for Orthodontic work based off of my experience.

I have been a patient with Comfort Dental since February and have had two cleanings, a tooth extraction, a sinus lift with bone graft, two dental implants and two fillings.
Doctor Angel Vasquez performed all the procedures except for the cleanings and is an excellent dentist with a great patient interaction. Comfort Dental is very safety oriented with Covid precautions and their prices are reasonable and explained upfront before treatment begins. I highly recommend them.

I arrived on time for my appointment. The ladies checked me in and I waited in my car. After 30 minutes I went in and asked them when I’d be seen and they told me it would be another 30 minute wait. I did not get seen until over an hour after my appointment, and waited another 30 minutes in the chair until someone started to numb me for my root canal. The person who came in to apply the topical before they numb began to apply it to the WRONG side/tooth. I started to lose all confidence. Dr. Crawford was very nice and explained things as he was performing the root canal however he had to repeat himself MULTIPLE times to the to his assistant which also did not give me a warm and fuzzy. If she was new, that’s all I should have been told, and I could have understood, but if she wasn’t....she might need to get some more training. I’m still in the healing process, so we’ll see how that goes.
