From the moment I arrived there, they were extremely caring, and professional. The entire staff treated me very well. I no longer hate going to the dentist. Highly recommend Aspen Dental to everyone. I had four teeth that needed to be removed, these people got me taken care of quickly and made me feel like family.

As someone who has trauma at the dentist, they treated me lovely there. They made sure I was calm and did not judge me for the conditions I had
Dr. Dwight Thompson is an amazing dentist who extracted a bad tooth of mines
I would love to come here more but unfortunately my insurance does not cover it

Another great experience. Before discovering Aspen I was the ultimate dentist shopper. (always looking for better service, an office that wasn't pushing unnecessary services, and that was designed for busy working adults. Aspen is exceptional. This visit, my routine cleaning was no exception. Kudos to Jillian my hygienist who was exceptional and extremely helpful.

Updated 4/13/15 - I was once their biggest fan. However, the continuous staff turn over, the change in the front office staff, the long wait times to get basic services like cleaning..for example, I was told they were scheduling out into September when I called in April for an appointment... (this has been an ongoing problem for the past year), and they never answer phone without putting you on hold (there is always at least a 5-10 minute wait). My opinion of this office has definitely been colored- I won't be back. While I like the dentist and the hygienist have consistently been through those don't outweigh it's problems.

Best experience I’ve ever had, everyone is so nice & patient.

Terrible experience ! Don't let these people anywhere near your mouth. They only seem to be interested in emptying your wallet!

They extracted a tooth, but left tooth root tip behind.

They created an incomprehensible treatment plan costing over $4500, and failed to include some immediate needs, but making sure to include work that I would consider optional.

Don't let them railroad you into their treatment plans without making sure that the stuff you came there to get addressed is actually included. Otherwise, you end up having a bunch of work done, a big bill, and also still have urgent work that is not being addressed.

The communication between dentists, dental assistants, and office staff is seemingly non existent. Some staff seem to have surly attitudes about their jobs, so I question whether they are happy working there either

Anyway, it has become clear to me why the corporate entity behind these Aspen Dental locations is being sued in several states!

My experience at Aspen Dental was a good one for both my husband, who hates going after a bad dental experience in the past, and myself. They were very clear when they communicated each process and item on the bill and what needed to be done.

Unprofessional, no follow up to phone calls by direct request to speak to both Dr’s. Regarding a a failed crown procedure. Patient left office with no temporary crown, no explanation. Exposed tooth. 3 days no return calls. Wait times misguided, patient service is lacking in the office, wait times 1-2 hours over scheduled appointment. This particular practice in Champagne/Urbana, IL should be reviewed by those accountable, in addition to franchise owner and lead dentist competency

I was in deep pain and was just trying to gain time to finish my hectic work days and then visit my regular dentist who was around 2 hours drive away. With my condition going worse and unable to wait more, I walked into a dental institution which was totally new and I should confess that I was scared to experiment but had no choice.
With my pleasant experience I couldn’t stop myself from sharing it. A warm welcome from the front desk to a new patient and above all, a young talented dentist who made sure that my impatient behavior in pain doesn’t take away her skillful attention. At such a young age her way to handle her patients with patience and her immense knowledge, makes me feel that the future of our American dentistry is in right hands.

This place is totally terrible. I planned to have a normal tooth wash, and before I went there, I called and made sure that all the services I want to do are covered by my insurance. They did an exam and an X-ray for me, and then told me if I want to do the tooth wash, I must have a treatment for my gum which is not covered by my insurance and will cost more than $400. I decided not to do that, but after several weeks I received a bill which charged me $221 for the exam and X-ray. Meanwhile there is a promotion on their website which is only $19 for these two services. I called again and they told me that promotion can only be used for person who do not have dental insurance. How ridiculous it is? I will pay the bill but I will never go to this place any more.

Checked in with receptionist, who wasn't very friendly. No greeting - no smile. Must have been having a bad day.
I didn't want to have x-rays (there has been no problem with my teeth or gums), so why do it? Was informed if I didn't, I couldn't have teeth cleaned. OK...had it done.
Hygienist was friendly, but she said she would have to clean my teeth with water pik instrument...where I had water streaming all over me...down my neck, etc. Oh, well, guess it's better than digging with the other tools.
Now I know what to expect when I go for my 6-month check-ups and cleaning. My insurance covers Aspen, so that is why I go there.
