I originally contracted with Deerfoot dental for extractions and dentures because it is close to home and was rated well on internet reviews. The dentist there was great. He explained what he was doing and answered questions. He was very caring and patient-aware and sensitive. After my second visit he told me he was leaving Deerfoot and the "group". (I thought the "group" meant that dentists from other facilities rotated between the "group" facilities., but that was not the case) I was sorry to hear that he was leaving but he said a dentist from Life Smiles would take over my case. There are two things I didn't like about this situation. 1. It seems I had no other option except to accept the new dentist. 2 Life Smiles is a 25-minute drive from home.

My next appointment was scheduled at Life Smiles.
A tech put wax molds in my mouth and said, "how does that feel.?"
"Not good" I said. "This material is more than I am accustomed to having in my mouth."
She says "ok, bite down, how does that feel".
"Not good" says I. I can't really tell anything because this all feels foreign to me."
"How about the color?" she asks.
I say " That's good.
She says, " sign this and we can get you out of here." (She hands me 2, 8X11" sheets of paper with 10-point type). "
What's this for?" I ask.
She says, "it just says you inspected the dentures for fit and color." "
But I don't think they fit right."
"It's ok, they will fix that at the next appointment." she says

Like a fool, I signed, not really understanding what just happened.

This level of communication continued during the next visit.

Also, Life Smiles rescheduled my appointment with another facility in the group without notice.

The day of my extractions was typical treatment from Life Smiles. I sat in the chair, a tech applied temp numbing gel, the dentist came in and spoke with me briefly while injecting Novocain, he left, he came back a few minutes later, asked if it was getting numb, shot more Novocain, left, came back and started pulling teeth all the while having a personal conversation with the tech. His extraction technique was awesome. I never felt a thing. BUT he nor the tech ever discussed and post extraction procedures, pain meds, when to come back, or even if I felt ok to leave. The post extraction information sheet had little useful information on it because it did not address the fact that I had dentures and therefore I could not follow those instructions. I was given a mini tube of Poli grip and a copy my bill.

I got a text from my pharmacy 2 days later saying there were 4 scripts ready for me to pick up. You guessed it, they called in scripts but didn't tell me.

Overall, their attitude was that I should know how their system works and that it was not necessary to talk with me about any of it.

Their advertising says they are Patient-Centric. That is a crock. This patient was treated poorly. It felt like a cattle call, a meat market. Herd um in herd um out. I wish I had had the nerve to discontinue their treatment and go elsewhere.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Lyn was very patient dealing with my insurance issues.
The dental work was also quick and thorough.

I will not recommended to anyone. Like other one star comments, they canceled my appointment. Got a call two days ahead of my appointment day and told me the Hygienist decided not to go to work on that day of my appointment. Asked them if the Hygienist can do something to help make up on my cancelation which she canceled. They said there is nothing they can do because they only has one Hygienist and they want to reschedule me 5 months later and nothing is available before that. They also tried very hard to force me to go to their sister dental office (Sagamore Meadows Family Dental and I just found out they were sister company) which I had very bad experience. To the Owner, please save your standard comment, if you really taken all the feedbacks seriously like your responses to other previous comments, this would not happen because there are multiple similar comments were posted before and the same thing just keep happening. Also I am still waiting for your office to send me an e-mail for the cancelation and the new appointment time like I was promised. Seem like your office can use some professional training.

Horrible if they feel you are not a fit even after you have been there 3 times they cancel you. All this as they scheduled me for a afternoon appointment when they had always scheduled me in the morning as I work afternoons. Not friendly at all. They need to stop answering with Deerfield Tracks and answer Life Smiles.

I'm new to the area, and I'm so pleased that I selected Life Smiles Dentistry as my new dentist office. I can't say enough good things, and I have had a great experience working with Hannah, Lyndsay, and Dr. Dee.

Also, Amy and Jasmine at the front desk are my new best friends. They know why.

This was the first time I visited this particular office. It was a very pleasant experience; it was efficient, yet thorough. In addition, the staff was very welcoming and kind. I will look forward to my next appointment.

Hannah was amazing and the dr was very gentle and explained everything- even the uncomfortable parts weren’t so bad. Listened to good music and everyone speaks so well to one another. Great team.

Would give a negative. So my husband was approved for dentures. He was to go for 5 appointments. He made 2 appointments. They scheduled him for a time he couldn't go in as he would be at work. I called
to reschedule as he was going
in the mornings. Called said they would call me back. Nope. So I call again the next day and Amy tells me he isn't a good fit. They are rude and very unprofessional.

I love the staff ! ESPECIALLY Olivia . She definitely does more than work but makes you feel like a great friend and makes the atmosphere so much more welcoming ! Thank you all so much ❤️

I love this dentist office. I’ve been there for two different cleanings and 9 cavity fillings and they made what is generally not a pleasant experience a manageable one. Both doctors have fantastic seat-side manner. Both hygienists (a year apart) that worked on me were also great, which speaks to a great eye for who they hire in these positions. Front desk staff is also sweet and efficient. 10 STARS!!!
