This dentistry is awful they lied to me about my wisdom teeth removal saying I had to be sedated..the sedation cost close to 4K and insurance wouldn’t of covered I would of had to pay out of pocket. I went to a different dentist and he said the complete opposite..now only getting 3 wisdom teeth removed and not being sedation costing only 196 dollars!! Don’t trust them they just want the most out of your pocket dissapointing!

Dr. Garibyan was the best doctor I could have asked for. He made sure I felt safe and secure about my procedure every step of the way. As an anxious patient, he explained everything about the work that needed to be done (for wisdom teeth extraction) and even added a dose of humor when needed. My risks weren’t straightforward and he worked hard to outline the risks and the benefits very honestly. On top of that, on the day of the actual procedure, he made sure I felt less anxious and talked me through all the steps before we started. Thank you so much to him and his staff.

Unfortunately, I did have issues with the billing department in the office. I scheduled this surgery months ago and after lying about billing my dental insurance for the first consultation, the billing department failed to provide me with an estimate of the copay for the procedure until the last day. Even then, they did this only after my mom and I had to bug them for a week leading up to the procedure. Although I had this unpleasant experience, I believe medical offices are about the medical staff providing you with healthcare services. On this front, I could not have asked for a better Doctor than Dr. Garibyan. I highly recommend this office because of him.

I can’t save enough about all the folks at Newton Dental. They always make me feel comfortable and the take the time to explain in detail, the procedure. Throughout the procedure they continue to check in with me to ensure I’m doing ok. I’ve gotten over my “ dental anxiety “.

Great hygienist, love Dr. Berick. Everyone is friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They have all the latest technology which helps them show and explain everything that’s going on to the patient. They really care, and it shows.

Changing my previous review to 1 star. I don’t agree with their billing practices. For new patients - they force you to book two different visits (completely unnecessary) and honestly a money-maker. I’ve been to other dentists in my 35 years and this was never ever required.

Upon my 2nd visit they notified me that I was out of network AFTER the visit was already complete.

I ended up having to come out of pocket almost $300 for a regular checkup. As a healthcare professional, I am quite familiar with insurance practices. Insurance is checked at the time of booking the visit, upon check in and again at check out. Which means they knew this months in advance. I am furious.

Even the checkout person admitted they don’t notify patients regarding network status, they only check whether the insurance is current. I won’t be back.

The dental cleaning with Annette was great as always. The office is using great equipment, providing a visual that is easy to understand.
I am happy with the dental work but very unhappy with the way this office handles billing. They tend to overcharge, taking larger than necessary co-pays and then provide a credit for the future dental work (I had a $1000 credit on my account in the past and it took a lot of effort to get my money back).
I took two dental insurances this year to cover major dental work. My dental claims sent to Cigna are pending for months because Newton Dental doesn't provide the needed documentation on time. They also bill both insurances at the same time, even though one of the insurances may pay in full. As a result I am getting letters from the secondary insurance, who demands proofs of payment from the primary one.
It was really upsetting to learn recently that Newton Dental ended their contract with Delta Dental. I was asked to pay in full at the checkout and then wait for Delta Dental to pay me back directly once the office bills the insurance. Delta Dental is a large dental insurance in MA, this is the first time I hear that a dental office would not renew the contract with them.
I am not sure I can now recommend this office to anyone.

Brooke did an excellent job with my cleaning today. She made it a very great and comfortable experience from someone who is afraid of the dentist!

I have been a patient at Newton Dental Associates for 17 years. In my view, they are the best in the business. Everyone in the practice, from the receptionists, to my hygienist, prosthodontist, and periodontist are patient centric, highly skilled and always responsive to my needs. They are able to analyze and clearly describe any and all of my dental issues that need attention and suggest treatment options. The bottom line is that I have complete confidence in their judgment and ability to care for my dental health.

positive experience; the dentist was very thorough and clearly very experienced. Staff were nice too. Only criticism is the place is very noisy which is distracting, and there’s not much privacy to where you’re treated; if you’re having dental work you’d probably want a quieter and more private setting.
