Update: This team stayed to repair a chipped tooth on a Friday afternoon! The gratitude and appreciation I feel is immeasurable. This time, we had Dr Erikson. Her work was on point and she really saved our weekend. I travel for this office!

First review from 2 yrs ago: I can’t begin to say enough about our experience here. A sport injury led to a chipped front tooth in our home, so we went on a search for a professional fix. Feeling so grateful we found Dr Berik! Never has a dentist been so thorough and explained things in a warm and compassionate manner. And, her work was stunning-as if the injury never happened. What relief! I found myself appreciating the warmth and friendliness of all of her staff, from her assistant Lin to the office. Overall experience couldn’t have been better! Thank you!

On 9/24/21 I saw Dr Walsh for tooth sensitivity on #19 after biting down on a seed. The X-ray was normal, he suggested to re-do the composite, which he completely rushed through, to remove a possible crack.
After the anesthesia wore off, I experienced widespread discomfort on the whole biting surface every time I chewed.
I returned to the office on 9/30, X-rays taken again, Dr. Walsh said everything looked fine including the root, and then instead suggesting a re-do of the filling, he suggested to “remove the nerve”, for a tooth that clearly became worse after his filling. I said, I need to think about this & left.
On 10/6/21, I saw Dr.Svetlana Gomer of Tewksbury, explained what happened, & she suggested to re-do the composite again. After she had re-done the composite & per her instructions to start chewing slowly. I no longer had discomfort chewing on #19.
Furthermore, she identified that there was also a crack on #18, which went unnoticed by Dr. Walsh.
Dr Gomer fixed that crack also as best she could on a future visit. My teeth are now back to normal again….without a “root canal” from a money-hungry dentist that didn’t even consider redoing his composite based on the timing of his work and when the discomfort level changed.
Because Delta Dental would not cover the same tooth in such a short span… I was forced to pay out of pocket for Dr. Gomer to fix my tooth.
After calling the office a couple of times I finally received a return call from Megan the business manager. She seemed more interested in defending Dr. Walsh‘s decision for a $4000 root canal then looking at the timing of events.
She said” it doesn’t mean you won’t need one in the future” which was a totally ridiculous response for a tooth that was perfectly healthy and just needed the filling done properly.
They refused to negotiate the return of my out-of pocket expense for the composite re-do, with the AGO’s Healthcare division office after I filed a complaint, as the negotiation is voluntary.
I did have my credit card payment returned to me by my bank. ZERO STARS for Dr. Walsh.
Dr. Gomer is an Awesome Dentist! Who will do everything she can’t to save your teeth and only offer a root canal as a last resort, which is how every dentist should practice!
Btw, Betsy my hygienist was awesome! She was the only one that touched my teeth prior to this horrible experience.

The specialist I worked with is very good. My only complaint is the office is very busy and noisy, and at times has the feel of a production line. Noise and commotion is probably not what you want to hear when dental work is being done. They should invest in moveable glass doors that have soundproofing and offer a little more privacy during the dental procedures.

Newton Dental Associates is an outstanding practice. Dr. Berik and her whole team are highly knowledgeable, caring and committed to their patients. They go the extra mile to make sure that their patients are informed and comfortable. The equipment is state-of-the-art and the waiting area and treatment rooms are immaculate. My entire family has now moved to this practice and everyone has been ecstatic with their results.

My seven-year-old son has a very difficult time having dental work done due to a gagging reflex and anxiety. His bedside manner with my child was patient, calm and amazing. He and his hygienist worked quickly, explaining everything to him and the experience was extremely positive. Professional, prompt care and excellent patient care.

Super friendly staff, felt very comfortable and at ease . I’m very excited to go back and see my treatment plan. I Definitely have the outmost confidence moving forward to my new beautiful smile 😀

Been seeing Annette as my hygienist for years- always does a great job

I would recommend this office ten times over! The team was all very kind and welcoming. My wife and I have Dr. Osofsky and she was knowledgeable and straight to the point (which I requested during my intake and was grateful for). She laid out all the options and the things to consider for each in a clear and empowering way. Maria (Dental Hygienist) did a great job on my cleaning as well and was upfront about a fluoride treatment that was recommended but would cost a small amount extra, when I declined she wasn’t pushy at all and it was mentioned again!

All in all the service was excellent, quick, and all very reasonable!

Personally I love Dr. Berik and her dental assistants for routine care. Unfortunately. I was seen there by a covering dentist and he dropped the ball and in all honesty was creepy. The oral surgeon is arrogant and unprofessional. Barely looked into my mouth and kept reminding me of his own “who cares” lame experience that doesn’t relate to the matter at hand. I feel taken advantage of here and feel so unsure how to continue going forward in an environment that puts sales before patient care. Reviews are truly helpful in these personal experiences.
