Man this place is pretty nice, for starters the go the whole nine yards to get a baseline picture of how your teeth look inside and out. Next when it comes to procedures, whereas a cleaning or a filling of a cavity they are top notch. The numbing gel they use is great! And finally the bells and whistles. The Bells is being able to watch Netflix as you get your cleaning, and the whistle what the massage feature on the operating chair I sat in as I got my cavity filled. Great place, I do recommend it!

This is my second visit to see Dr. Picot and his wonderful staff at SouthEnd Dentistry. And they never disappoint. They are on time, friendly, fast and thorough.

I’ve been going to the dentist twice per year since I was a toddler and they are by far the best office I’ve been too. I even referred a friend and he flew all the way from Detroit for his appointment.

Keep up the good work and I’ll see you in 6 months!

Never in over 50 years have been asked to prepay 50% of a procedure in advance when attempting to make an appointment. If I schedule an appointment to service my car, no credit card is required but the service needs to be completed. Same analogy! Enjoyed the first cleaning experience and had some additional service needed, nonetheless asking for payment in advance of services rendered is inappropriate. Consider changing your procedures or lose business. The answer of reserving your Dr's service time is not more important than a potential lifetime customer.

Rob we have had our policies since 2009 for all of our patients and this has enabled us to provide top notch dentistry and customer service. We’d be happy to review these policies with you as this is the first we’re hearing of your disappointment. We are not the only dental office who has these policies as well. We hope to hear from you and have you back in the office.

I call BS since I spoke to someone less than an hour ago and tried to make an appointment for a follow up procedure for a filling. When they asked for a credit card as with my initial appointment, I declined and called backed to cancel. The person asked to confirm my insurance and I asked to cancel the cleaning appointment for October 7th so I would not be charged. Sorry, sad excuse for your policy since 2009. Policy is a guideline and is no prerequisite for maintaining a new client. Good luck with your practice as you will continue, but there are other options that appreciate a customer without asking for money in advance of services rendered.

One last economic lesson. If you receive 100% of revenue as services are rendered vs. $0, who wins?

Edit: My original review was 5 stars but I have to change it because of the horrible service I’ve received since April. This office is disorganized and under staffed. They didn’t have my new insurance on file and I had to pay out of pocket for my visit which was fine until I found out they NEVER billed my new insurance for a reimbursement. I had to call several times, speak to several different people and even go in person to get them to take action. No one would take accountability for their mistake. I decided to give them another shot as I wanted some additional work done and I didn’t want to start all the way over with a new dentist. I tried calling twice and left a voicemail message that of course was never returned. This is a nice looking office with a terrible staffing issue. Good luck

I’m so glad I was referred to this place! SUPER friendly staff, very thorough, and the place is beautiful (and smells amazing). It felt like a spa instead of a dentists office. Oh, and they have massage chairs! Bobbie did an amazing job cleaning my teeth and answering all the questions that I had. Dr. Picot was very professional, thorough and patient with all my questions. I will definitely come back! :)

I am a new patient and the whole team has been incredible and made me feel right at home. I want to thank Brandy for being so accommodating and fitting me in for an emergency visit and my DH Zoe is awesome oh and I cannot forgot my dentist Dr.Alegria he fixed my chipped two front teeth and they look great! The whole staff was very helpful from booking the appointment to following up and making sure I had everything ready for my appointment. Bobbie was very thorough and explained everything she was doing during the cleaning. I’ve been going to this dentist for 4 years, and enjoy it each and every time! The staff at Dr. Picot's office are amazing and so friendly. They always make me feel so welcome and comfortable. This dental practice goes above and beyond for the comfort and care of their patients, they get you in and out in a timely manner, this is really helpful for me because usually I need to get back to work! The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable to keep the health of your teeth on track. I would highly recommend this practice.

I just moved to Charlotte and tried to come here for a routine cleaning. They were extremely aggressive financially and in a city full of employees of the same bank they seemed to only have one provider for that insurance? They were not in on the day I made my appointment for (which they did not tell me until the morning of even though I filled out all my information a week prior) so I was offered to reschedule for another 4 weeks out or pay out of pocket ($250?!). I called back 15 min later to cancel since I found a dentist who took my insurance everyday of the week and I was told it’d be a $50 cancellation fee even though she took my credit card down 15 min earlier and didn’t tell me these very important details until that morning. I then find that they actually charged me $125 for the cancellation. I’m thankful I did not end up going there because who knows what they would have billed me otherwise. Seem to be taking advantage of the new young professionals in South End trying to figure out these things on their own.
