If you are looking for a dental office that is patient centered and easily communicable this is NOT the place for you. I have called several days and left several voicemails but have not gotten back to on a charge on my account that does not add up.They also up-charge on things you may not even want and will sneak it into your total bill like a $135 toothbrush. They will take advantage of you and do not care about patients at all. I have never been so upset and displeased with a business that I needed to write a review about them until today.

We were so pleasantly surprised with the care given from the front desk through to Brett at checkout. Dr. Moore was amazing, no nonsense, straightforward, sincere care. We highly recommend Aspen Dental in Amarillo.

My son went to Aspen Dental with hopes that he would find the solution to his problem he didn't expect that the hygienist was going to drill into his tooth and his assistant was just ignoring the issue. My son had been hurting and called after hours what good does it do when you live 2 5 hours away and they want the person to drive to get medical assistance! What should have been done was not what I instructed being as POA....so if you have POA this place dont care!! I'm disappointed what they did and I don't know if I can find it in myself to return after this experience.

I've had a lot of dental work done at Aspen over the last 6 months, and every visit went well. I originally chose this location because I wanted an office in my insurance network (BCBSTX) with comprehensive care. I knew I needed to have my wisdom teeth removed surgically, and I didn't want to see a dentist at one office and have to get a referral to see a surgeon at a different location. Aspen's staff has always been very courteous and helpful. They tell you about your care plan and the cost before they do any work so you know what you're in for. And the dentists (I've seen 4 different doctors, two from out of town) and technicians have always been very thorough explaining what they suggest my mouth needs. My surgery and recovery were a breeze, as were my multiple fillings and cleanings. And the wait time before seeing the dentist has always been within 15 minutes of my scheduled appointment, which is nice. I'll definitely continue to seek care at this clinic and recommend it.

Complete miscommunication about the type of appointment and what services would be provided on the first visit. They placed all of the blame on the call center and said they gave the wrong information all the time. Was incredibly misled. Also, waited to see the doctor for over an hour and finally gave up. Then they had the nerve to charge my insurance for the FREE X-rays!

The hygienist was great, so no issues there, however I had an issue with the front office staff. I walked in, in plain view of the receptionist, signed in as instructed by the signs, and then sat down. I was ignored for at least 15-20 minutes. Working as a receptionist at times in a local vet clinic, I know when people are busy and I'm willing to wait to let them finish what they need to do. However, she was not busy. She only answered the phone twice during that period, and never acknowledged me until after I'd been sitting there for a while. I was on the verge of simply walking out because I didn't think I'd be acknowledged. Staff, even if you're busy, a quick "hi there, I'll be with you in just a moment" wouldn't go amiss. It's rude to not acknowledge a client or customer and just allow them to sit without any kind of introduction or talking to them. Because of this, I won't be back. Didn't like I was treated, and also: if you aren't going to accept my "updated" patient forms, even though I got TWO e-mails telling me that if it'd been more than 6 months since my last visit and I needed to update my info, please don't send that out in your e-mail. The receptionist looked at me like I'd lost my mind when I handed her my forms, and even more so when I said, "I'm only following the instructions in the e-mail I received."

But, guess that's what you get when you're a corporate-owned business.

Do not choose Aspen Dental! My two front teeth were chipped in a biking accident when I was 10 years old. Over a decade later, I decided it was time to finally "fix" my smile, so I went to Aspen Dental in Amarillo, Texas.

Aspen Dental advised me that a crown was necessary for my front right tooth as it was likely to chip further. They cut it down to a size that ruined my orginal tooth and necessitates a crown for the rest of my life. The temporary crown they provided me was horrendous. It made me feel more embarrassed about my smile than the chipped teeth ever did. The permanent crown is bulky - too long and too thick.

I have since seen two other dentists in the Amarillo area who agree that Aspen Dental used material more suitable for molars than front teeth. I have been advised that the material they chose is, in fact, too thick and lacks opacity.

My insurance company considers replacement of this crown cosmetic, so it is not a covered benefit. I will have to pay 100% of the cost to replace it. I am extremely nervous to have the left front tooth altered as I fear another horrendous consequence. I smile less in pictures and person after visiting Aspen Dental.

Please save yourselves the time and money and choose another provider who will take care of and give you more confidence in your smile. I am deeply disappointed in Aspen Dental. My friends, family members, and coworkers also noticed and noted the worsened appearance of my smile. I am a walking advertisement of why one should not entrust Aspen Dental with improving his/her smile.

Furthermore, I used CareCredit to cover this and other procedures with Aspen Dental. I incurred debt and continue to pay for a service that jeopardized my smile and confidence. I am only sharing this experience because I hope no other consumer will blindly trust and choose Aspen Dental.
