ATTENTION NEW COMERS TO ELP AND MILITARY FAMILIES: I wish there were zero stars to give these unpleasant imbeciles. My family had the most disgusting experience here. My 3 yr old nephew was being sedated for a procedure and when my family showed up early in the morning there were already 10 patients waiting with a rude and incoherent staff who was unable to coordinate the group. The staff then directed my nephew and his father that for the 1st step my nephew would be given an oral medication that would make him drowsy while he played for 90 mins in a room where staff (not doctors or childs own parent) would watch them. Red flag number 1. No one keeps an eye out for their child like a parent since the child has been given medication that can make them hit their head, fall, or become ill from. THEN he would be taken to the chair for his procedure and since the oral medication wouldn't numb the gum they would have to use a needle, NEWSFLASH!! A 3 yr old receiving injections in his mouth is painful! Ask yourself, how do they keep these kids from swatting the needle away? Straps? Scary and red flag number 2. His father proceeds to go in the back with him but unfortunately was told that he could not go and monitor his 3 yr old while playing or during the procedure. Red flag number 3. When my brother asked why, they were rude and told him he must have had a hearing problem and didn't comprehend that he should have read the terms and agreement which gave directions on how to schedule an appt that allowed you to watch your child. Red flag 4. Now, we all know that no one's reads through all the black and white and if you're the exception, we'll congrats, you're the 1% Moving on, my family decided to write a review on its Facebook and to not much surprise the Doctor who responded then deleted our reviews and her own responses. However, Dr. Baker who herself said she was not there after we left a comment about how rude and ignorant her staff was decided she would then tell us to go else where. No worries because she didn't need to tell us that. She also thought we cared enough to tell us that she had 5 children and 7 grandchildren. She also made sure she told us that she was board certified. She also thought that I cared that Maria and Amanda are "competent." But to her responses I simply made sure to tell her I could care less how many children she has in her cave, while priests and certified doctors have molested and hurt children I could careless about her certs because individuals can be disgusting no matter what profession they hide behind, since she doesn't stand behind Maria and Amanda then she doesn't know what they said or didn't say, and because we were the customer and told her about our unfortunate situation at her clinic that she should have understood our viewpoint and moved on. I can't comprehend why it's not protocol for a certain age group to be able to have a guardian present PERIOD and I also know that it doesn't take a college degree to put a chair in the corner so both parent and child are comfortable. Then again, I don't understand why The Dental Ark has no professionals in their establishment. There was also a deleted comment about how a parent who didn't go back with their child came back with red marks on their wrists and told their parent that the staff was mean to them. So to the ELP community and my own military community I hope those red flags allow yoi to understand my horrible experience and I can save you some time. "Go elsewhere"- Dr. Baker own advice haha!
