Brident Dental & Orthodontics

I do not recommend this office. I am not one to write reviews, but I would like to warn any others who are on an HMO dental plan so they are not pushed around like I was. Buckle up ladies and gentlemen, this is a long one.

I went for a simple consult on my wisdom teeth, as this was my assigned facility via my Cigna DHMO plan. They got me in, made their scans, and talked with me. No issues so far. But then came getting my tooth extractions scheduled.

I can't speak to how well this place does extractions, but they refused to give me the HMO insurance referral that they are REQUIRED to give if I want to seek my surgery elsewhere that is within (or not within) my plan's network. After multiple calls with other oral surgeons and my insurance company (Cigna), we ended up getting nowhere as this place REFUSED to sign over my insurance referral request. Their reasoning was that it is a corporate policy since "they can perform the surgery here". I have no reason to believe they would be able to give me a standard referral form (which they did), but refuse to give me the form REQUIRED BY CIGNA DHMO PLAN CUSTOMERS that is required for me to go elsewhere for my surgery.

On top of it all, things felt very pushy in trying to get me scheduled in to do my surgery here instead of elsewhere. I was quoted $2k here AFTER insurance, whereas I ended up getting my teeth done for less than half of that at an oral surgeon elsewhere. I can't speak to the legitimacy of the additional charges they put on my estimate, but I am thankful I got something figured out elsewhere with a different oral surgeon, who helped me figure this mess out and got me in for an appointment the same week. I was on the phone for over 3 hours between this place, the oral surgeons office, OTHER general dentists within my network, AND my insurance. All (except Brident) are telling me that Brident was in the wrong and was not budging on giving me the run-around. But regardless, Brident continued to give me to runaround the entire time and refused to sign a simple form to help me out, which they are REQUIRED to if they are complying with Cigna's insurance requirements.

If you have a a Cigna DHMO plan (it even if you don't), I recommend you change your general dentist. This office's "policy" seems to be refusing to comply with insurance requirements in order to force you to give them your business. It is my right to choose where I get my procedures done (especially at other facilities that are covered under my insurance), but Brident does not see it that way. I'll be caught dead before I walk back into this place.

Brittany was amazing!! She helped me out so much and she has a positive attitude!!! Will definitely come again because of her!!

Jessica was very patient and kind to my mother while she had her dental visit and was very informative with explaining the treatment to her. Dr. Patel did an excellent job at making her feel calm during her treatment. I am very thankful and we will continue to be patients for the years to come.

This is amazing! I went in there, yesterday, with all four of my children and they were so incredibly patient, kind and fun to work with. Not just did they see all four of my kids but they were able to do treatment and start braces the same day. I definitely recommend them to everyone, now.

UPDATE: we were leaving the office and the Dentist Patel and office Manager stopped us to say that they contacted his primary doctor and they said that my dad needed to go see the doctor as it was six months since his visit..... Could it possibly be the THREE MONTHS that they made me waste back and forth and not having accurate records? JUST SAYING!!!! PLUS the fact that Brident refaxed today the SAME paperwork including the extraction and anesthesia! WAY TO GO!!

Brought my 92 year-old dad on March 15, 2021, staff was very nice and helpful, they took all his X-rays and of course, billed his insurance. The doctor Patel was very nice and looking at the X-rays, he noticed a molar cavity and asked him if it bothered him which he replied no. Even the doctor agreed that due to his age, it was not necessary to put him thru an extraction and anesthesia. He said we just do the cleaning. We waited and waited while my dad already on the dentist chair. They came and told us that we needed to go back to the lobby and wait. Long story short, they needed approval from his primary doctor, I kept asking for just a cleaning? We ended leaving with no cleaning. The next day, I contacted his insurance which they informed me what I already knew, no approval necessary from his primary doctor for a dentist appointment. Back and forth with the primary doctor, his insurance and the dental office and finally Elizabeth from Brident contacted me and apologized and said that the miscommunication was because the paper work reflected an extraction and anesthesia when even the dentist said just a cleaning. Because they took all the X-rays already, I decided to make an appointment again for the cleaning, Elizabeth again assured me it was going to be in and out appointment. The appointment was scheduled on June 4, 2021. I get time off from my work AGAIN, we are at the office and surprise!!!! BACK TO SQUARE ONE: We never received approval from his primary doctor here's the fax confirmation and they never responded. I explained to them (AGAIN) the whole ordeal as they don't have anything registered in their computer. Office manager comes and tells me that they need the approval from his primary doctor! They tried to help and asked me to contact his doctor and if they would approve the cleaning over the phone, they would note it on the fax from March 15 that they received verbal approval. She even said I refaxed the information again today. I'm calling his primary doctor and normally they take forever to answer. Then I read the paperwork work that she refaxed, SURPRISE AGAIN... It reads possibly extraction and anesthesia.... WOW!!!! I go and tell her that why did she refaxed the same paperwork instead of just noting a CLEANING!!!!! doctor says OK we can do that.... WOW AGAIN!!!! His primary doctor could not answer as they were in a department meeting. I had to leave the office because I had a dentist appointment myself.... I will try to get a different dentist for my 92 year old dad and hopefully I have no problem in getting Brident Dental office releasing the X-rays. I will post another review on the outcome 😡

This place is so disorganized! I would give them no stars, but had to give them at least 1. My daughter's mom comes here so that's why I have only been here twice. Both times I get here 20 to 30min before the appt and have to wait at least 1.5 hours after appt to be called back. A heads up that they are running late when checked in would be great, but nothing. The ladies behind the counter look like their new and just learning. But no communication at all. Doctor was good though, she is night and day compared to the rest of the staff. I would not come here to get my teeth looked at.

This place is a joke.... Dont recommend anybody who appreciate their time to visit this place.... My babys appointment was canceled and they notified me once I was at the office, seriously how do you think that makes me feel..... They don't respect people time.

Arrived early and was greeted by pleasant faces at the front desk. I was taken back by a very sweet young lady who made me feel very comfortable and she took my xrays. I was examined by Dr.Patel who really took time and gave a very thorough examination and explained everything and answered any questions. I was very impressed and look forward to my next visit.

I love this place! They are super helpful and work with me on getting all my kids in for cleaning and braces. Lizbeth was great at the desk and very helpful.

Only reason I gave 1 star is because you can't give zero. I showed up early and got all of my paperwork done and still had to wait for almost an hour after my appointment. I told the dentist all I wanted was an extraction and he starts trying to talk me into other things. I decided not to have the tooth pulled and they gave me an estimate on having it pulled. The estimate was double what "Admire Dental" did it for and they're a lot cleaner and more professional. They are also open Saturday which was the only reason I went to Brident in the first place.
