It seemed like they were just trying to rack up a large bill. They hygienist was very nice, but the actual dentist was not very personable. She glossed over cavities with a "You probably have like four" and then went straight for the hard sell on whitening, cosmetics, and electric brushes. It was very awkward feeling like they were up selling me on my own health. I want to have done what is needed, but it was hard to get a clear answer as to what was needed and what was just extras they wanted to sell me. It wasn't horrible, but I would probably try somewhere else next time.

Rose was so nice! She addressed all of my concerns – going out of her way to make sure I was happy with my results as she cleaned and flossed my teeth! Everyone at that clinic I have ever come into contact with has been very nice and accommodating! Great experience this time around with Rose! Of course the dentist was very gentle, explanatory, and friendly guy! I just didn’t require his services other than examining my mouth because I was in good shape this time around! :-) i’m looking forward to having my teeth whitened in a couple weeks there at the same location in Tyler.

Employees are really nice and professional. They made sure to explain the procedures that needed to be done and costs before scheduling appointments. They made me feel comfortable about having my wisdom tooth remove. Really great experience!

I went in for a bad cavity that was giving me a lot of pain. The staff was friendly and told me clearly what my options were. I decided to get the tooth extracted for financial reasons and they were able to do it the same day. Dr.K was friendly and efficient. Once I was numb it didn’t take more than 3 minutes to get the tooth out and me out the door. It was almost painless ( until the numbness wore off of course ). I was pleased with the service I received. The staff was a little sales-forward, but that doesn’t bother me, I just said yes or no and moved on. Would definitely recommend especially if your low on funds but need to see a dentist for an emergency because the exam and X-rays were all free. I got out of there paying what it would have cost me just to get an exam and X-rays from a different dentist office (I was a self-pay customer).

So far (I've only went to one appointment), I am happy with my experience with Aspen Dental, Tyler, TX. They were cheerful, professional, helpful and quick. I will be back in 2 days to have a tooth surgically removed, and plan on my family and I using them from now on.

Terrible experience. I got the impression that this business is being run as a money grab. Profits seem to be the only thing that matter. I visited in May, 2019 for an annual check-up (and what I was told would be a cleaning). I checked in for my 3:15pm appointment at 3:01pm, and filled out my patient paperwork. After sitting in the lobby for 45 minutes I was brought back for my dental X-Rays. Once the X-Rays were completed I was brought back to a room to wait for the dentist and waited until after 5:00pm before the dentist came in. As I waited for the dentist, I overheard 2 conversations between staff and patients where patients were just being encouraged to set up payment plans to get services they needed. Collecting money was the only thing that mattered. The dentist visited with me for roughly 5 minutes to let me know that everything looked good. After he left, I asked the assistant if we’d be doing the cleaning next. She replied “if we have time”. They put me in a waiting room for about 10 more minutes when someone from check-out came and got me. I asked about my cleaning and she told me that the dental hygienist got off at 5:00 and that they’d schedule my cleaning for later that week. She then attempted to collect $50 from me to just get my cleaning scheduled. I asked about my annual check-up covering the cost of that and was given an excuse of having to schedule a different date and that it required a fee to do that. No thank you. I will never visit Aspen Dental again in my life. 2.5 hours of my time got me X-Rays and a 5 minute conversation with the dentist. Do not waste your time or money with these people.

I was very pleased with the professional care I received at aspen Dental. Every step of my care and the procedures was explained in a way I could easily understand. They also had financial options available making my decision much easier. I’m glad I made aspen Dental my choice!

I was very satisfied with my experience at Aspen Dental. The staff were very polite. I was a new patient with them and I had no time to do the consultation after the visit because my vehicle broke down in their parking lot so they said we can go back and finish at a later time. Thank you Aspen Dental

Granted, I live in Mexico and haven’t seen a dentist in 4 years. I do take very good care of my teeth. When I was looked at by the technician I was told I had pockets of 4’s and 5’s in each quadrant. When measured 4-5 were dominant throughout my mouth. The total cost for deep cleaning and everything that went along with it was almost $3000. I don’t have insurance so I decided to get a second opinion. Sure enough the numbers from the 2nd dentist were significantly better. A couple of teeth on my right side did require some deep cleaning but overall my mouth was in pretty good shape. The cost difference was HUGE…$2000 difference!!
At Aspen dental they wanted to give me a $89.00 antibiotic shot in each area that they claimed was necessary which totaled $1163.00. The other dentist provided me with a antibiotic rinse that was included with the periodontal cleaning (which was $260.00, seven dollars cheaper than Aspen’s periodontal charge per quadrant).
Aspen dental also included an extra $16. per quadrant for gingival irrigation which was also included with the $260 charge per quadrant with the 2nd dentist.
I am so glad I took the time to get a second opinion. To me it seemed like Aspen Dental was clearly taking advantage by lying about the condition of my mouth to get as much out of my pocket book as possible. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone….ever.
