Aspen Dental

Let's start with the fact that my appointment was for 11:00. I showed up a minute or two late after making a wrong turn; No worries I was still seen by 11:10! It is rare that you visit a dentist that doesn't leave you in the waiting area for at least 20 minutes. Not Aspen! I was seen right away. Everyone was very friendly and seemed to genuinely enjoy their job. I wish I could remember names but it doesn't matter because they were ALL great! I would certainly return!

Aspen Dental is amazing and caring. They are very professional and fun to be around the atmosphere is amazing. There is one staff member that always makes it feel welcoming when I come in. She has the biggest smile on her face. Her name is heather and if u need anything she is there to help. I would say she is one of the reason I keep coming back.

My experience with Aspen was very disturbing.
For the previous four years, I had been seeing a dentist in Jacksonville. I was happy with him but it was a distance from my house. I decided to try a local dentist, Aspen.
I found the dentist very polite and professional. However, after x-rays I was told that I had decay under three crowns. I was surprised as the crowns were relatively new.
I then met with the office manager who had my "treatment plan". It was reviewed with me very quickly. The cost would be about $2800. Included were "products" I had not asked for. The next question was "how would you like to pay for this?" I felt like I was being sold a used car. I was quite discouraged when I left and decided to get a second opinion with my previous dentist who I trusted.
I signed a release of information with Aspen and then saw him. He attempted to get records, but was met with resistance. I later had to pick up the records and the x-rays myself. My dentist did a thorough examination which included x-rays. It should be noted that because I was unable to get the x-rays from Aspen in a timely manner, I had to pay out of pocket for the additional ones. After the examination, I was told by my dentist, that I had one area of decay under one crown. The cost would be approximately $500.
If I had not gotten the consultation, I would have paid $2300 more with much additional work and time for me.
Needless to say, I will not go to this "hard sell" chain again.

I had never been to Aspen Dental before and simply chose to go there after moving to St. Augustine. I had gone to one other dentist in Ponte Vedra once and never went back as they were marketers first and dentists second.
I had an outstanding experience during my first visit at Aspen. The staff was extremely pleasant and exceptionally competent. There was no time wasted and it was quite clear that everyone from the receptionist to the dentist knew exactly what they were doing and did it well. By way of background, I am a trial attorney and spent many years defending dental and oral surgeon malpractice cases. I am quite versed in many aspects of dentistry and understood everything they were doing, including the shorthand comments they made to each other while performing my exam. Without elaboration, I was impressed. Further, as far as costs, they were right on the mark, if not lower, than comparative prices in the area. I'm glad I went there and am very happy to have found them.

I had my first appointment today for an evaluation and to establish myself. After the evaluation I was told I needed a cleaning that would cost $237. I said I can't afford that right now but my insurance pays for an annual cleaning. I was told THE INSURANCE COVERED CLEANING WAS NOT WHAT I NEEDED and I was not offered the cleaning that was covered!! I like Dr Powers but disappointed with the rest

I could have easily rated this a five on how friendly the people were and how satisfied I was with the treatment but the time that I waited to be worked on was way to long. I had a 3:00 pm appointment and I had gotten there at 2:30 pm. I was taken into one of the treatment rooms at 2:45 pm at which I then felt this would be over quicker than I thought. I sat in the dental chair until after 4:00 pm before someone started my treatment. They apologized, but still a total of 2 1/2 hours for cleaning. It is a little much.

She was very passionate about her work and did a fantastic job
She took her time in trying to figure out the issue and then worked on them to resolve it
She has good knowledge base and was very helpful
I recommend her without any reservations
Nora will be great doctor one day if she still wants to pursue her career
Megan at front desk and as very helpful as well in helping with billing issue

I would not recommend anyone else. I love Dr. Rennie and his assistant Angela to the moon and stars. The rating of 5 stars is not even enough. It's more like a 1000 stars. I am terribly scared of needles. Angela held my hand the whole time. The staff told me the truth and answered all my questions. Appointments were prompt and on time. I love the whole staff.

I have been to, and worked in several dental practices in my life and not one of them compares to the dynamic care provided in this office! Dr. Rennie and Dr. McCauley REALLY care about their patients and their staff. I must also give kudos to Heather who has been there helping patients with treatment plans, scheduling, and insurance for as long as I can remember. She is truly dedicated which is a direct reflection of an amazing team! If you want quality treatment, this is your new dental home.

These professionals are AMAZING! During my lifetime, I've been blest to be cared for by some really good dentists. Dr. Rennie and his professional staff rank right there at the top. Thank you for making this experience a good one for me!
