When I made the appointment I thought i was coming in for x-rays and cleaning. After they completed my x-rays they told me they would need to do the cleaning at a later date.
When I was finished I was asked to speak with another staff member who gave me an estimate for ALL the necessary work on my teeth. I mentioned that I had been told in the past I had periodontal disease and there were added costs for that service. The total was $1,500!! After I told her it wasn’t possible for me to pay so much all at once she adjusted the amount down to $1,000 and told me they could do just the urgent work for that amount. I’m on a fixed income so there’s no way I can afford that much money
I finally went to White House Clinic for my cleaning. The x-rays Aspen sent over weren’t any good to the new dentist because it wasn’t possible to increase the size of the file sent. White House had to take x-rays again and they graciously chose not to charge me.
I mentioned to them also that I had been told I had periodontal disease in the past. The dentist came in and told me herself that there was no periodontal disease! That saved hundreds o dollars.
The clinic cleaned my teeth and then gave me a treatment plan. It was less than half of Aspen’s quote if I hadn’t found Aspen’s quote to be impossible to pay I would have bit the bullet and forked over $1,000 for work that included periodontal cleaning which I don’t even need.
My daughter, who has worked as a dental office manager for several years, told me that’s how the chains work and it’s better to go to local dentists. I have to admit, I totally forgot to ask her advice and I didn’t even know Aspen was part of a chain!

I recently was seen at Aspen after a severely infected tooth became nearly septic. It was so bad, I spent the day in the emergency room getting an iv of antibiotics, scans, xrays and labs.
My local dentist wouldn't even see me and prescribed penicillin instead of extracting the tooth. Referred me to an oral surgeon which was booked 2 weeks out..
Even my Dr wouldn't see me to give me a shot and I was in terrible shape.
But Aspen got me in as a walk-in, drained the infection and extracted the tooth. In and out in a few minutes after suffering terribly for nearly a week.
Never one problem with pain afterward.
God bless the folks at Aspen. If not for them, I seriously would not have survived this ordeal.
Now after I have a come to Jesus meeting with my dentist, I'll be coming to Aspen for all my dental needs.
Likely will be looking for a new physician as well.

I highly recommend Aspen Dental, Richmond KY. The staff there is extremely caring, helpful, honest and in no way judgmental. Every staff member there has the upmost highest bedside manner and carried themselves professionally throughout the entire visit. I was told everything that needed to be done and sat down with the office manager to make a treatment plan that worked for me. She and the dentist are the most caring and kindest and they made my visit most enjoyable 😊 The entire staff at Aspen Dental, Richmond KY is amazing; I look forward to my future appointments with them! ❤️
