I'm one of those people that has a big time fear of the dentist, I cry at the sight of the Novocain needle. (no joke) So you can imagine how neglected my teeth were from not going to the Dentist. I've been coming here for almost a year now and I think I've had pretty much everything done here, had a cleaning , a tooth extracted, root canal and now working on fixing the rest of my teeth and getting them to look perfect. The oral surgeon who did my extraction was excellent, making sure I was comfortable throughout the whole procedure. After that I went back because I was in some pain and was told that there was a 90% chance I would need a root canal, I was really hanging on to that 10 %, but Dr. Smolyar confirmed that I would need the root canal. (bring on the water works!) Dr. Smolyars wife is the one who performed my root canal who is also Dr. Smolyar and everyone assured me that she had gentle hands and they were right, I never even felt the needle and at no point was uncomfortable. What really got me was that she gave me her cell number in case I needed anything, very few dentists/doctors will do that so I was blown away-it made me feel like she truly cares. I have been seeing Dr.Alex Smolyar before and post root canal and he has been amazing throughout this whole process, I still have a ton of work that needs to be done because I spent so much time being afraid of the dentist and never went. Both Dr. Smolyers made me feel so comfortable and with both I never felt the needle so needless to say I don't cry anymore when I go to the dentist. (really, I'm a big baby). After seeing them, I am no longer afraid of the dentist! Everyone in here is awesome from the front desk to the dental assistants and dentists. I finally found a dentist that I'm not afraid of and now have no excuse not to go. Pretty soon I'll be smiling from ear to ear. I can't think of going anywhere else, I'm a lifer at this office now!

I needed an emergency root canal and this office made time for, not just to have a consultation, but to actually do the procedure, that day. Better than that, even on a back molar with 4 canals, the procedure was nearly painless. I’d previously had a very painful root canal so I was shocked by this. When I told Dr. Ronit Smolyar about my previous experience, she was attentive to my concerns and totally put me at ease. I left that day with an emergency number to call if I had any problems, and the office manager, Regina, made sure I knew I could call or come in if I had any questions or concerns.

I can’t recommend this office highly enough, having had A LOT of work dental work done. Dr. Smolayer is warm, knows her stuff, and is a wonderful endodontist.

Not many people can say they love their dentist but I can say that about Dr Millen and the wonderful staff at Gentle Dental, Newbury Street. They are dental artists! Dr Millen is exceptional. He is patient, kind, and professional, with a keen attention to detail. He is not happy unless the patient is happy. All of the assistants and hygienists are excellent, caring and helpful. The receptionists are friendly and make it easy to book appointments with the extended and weekend hours. I had extensive dental work over the last year at Dr Millen's office and I couldn't be happier. It was expertly done by Dr Millen and painless. I mean, really painless. I needed to come in for an emergency procedure and they took me right away. I cannot say enough about Newbury Dental. I have recommended Dr Millen and his crew to friends and co-workers and I recommend them to you.

I was a new patient that came in with a toothache that was killing me and the Gentle Dental team was amazing!!! They allowed me to come in the same day I called, gave me a prescription for antibiotics to stop the pain, and scheduled a root canal and crown within days because I was moving out of state in a couple weeks. The whole team of dentists and front desk staff were very professional throughout everything. I would highly recommend their service to anyone that needs emergency dental work!

I started coming here recently and it's great. All of my appointments have started early or on time, and Doctor Millen makes you feel calm and comfortable. I also see Wendy, one of the hygienists -- and she's great. She's very gentle, and I always leave feeling awesome.

I needed a tooth extracted for years. From the first interactions I had with this practice to my last words, I was very pleased. I worked with Stephanie in the front desk and Dr. Daher as my dentist. I also worked with a few medical assistants and I am so sorry that I forgot their names! They have all been wonderful to me.

First of all, scheduling was easy. I had a specific date I requested and it was fulfilled. They had openings earlier and asked if I could, but sadly I was too busy. This shows that they're available if you need them sooner than later. I was nervous because this was my first extraction ever, but everybody at that practice assured me. They calculated my bill and it was accurate.

On the day of my extraction, I went in. My mouth was numbed within 10 min. And then 5 min later, my tooth was pulled. The medical assistant just said "close your eyes," I felt something was put into my mouth by the doctor, and boom all gone. I thought it was something to prep for the extraction. The entire procedure was finished in 20 minutes altogether. I had no bleeding and my recovery was very quick.

I have to emphasize that everybody was calm, supportive, and kind to me. I needed this the most and it was there since the beginning at my consult. I highly recommend this practice for anyone who needs a supportive team of medical folks in their care.

I had the best cavity filling experience here with Dr Aziz and Jackie. It was almost painless and took less then half an hour! Not to mention the staff is so kind. Highly recommend.

The staff at Newbury Dental is amazing, they made me and my family feel very welcomed. I was so impressed by the entire staff. I strongly recommend this Dental office to anyone. Thank you so much for your service.

Dr Saadia Aziz was absolutely amazing. She explained exactly what she was doing and why. She was gentle and eased my anxiety. I will definitely be returning and have found a new dentist!!

I just wanted to express my gratitude to Jeanie at the front desk at your Newbury Street location. She is absolutely amazing. I had a mix up with another (non-gentle denal office) and had to schedule my wisdom teeth extraction ASAP. She put 100% of herself in to finding me an apt. within hours. She continued to call me with updates on a regular basis and did every she could and made it happen! I was SO impressed. She was so kind, thoughtful, and really an amazing employee. I will certainly be a loyal Gentle Dental customer moving forward - and a lot of that can be contributed to her!
