Definitely deserves the 5 stars. The best dental experience, especially if you do not have insurance. The dental assistant, Ashton, made me feel very comfortable and was also quite personable. That is something I seldom see with medical care staff from any field. Dr. Sonn was also very good at making me feel like I had been coming there for years. Besides the atmosphere, I had an impacted wisdom tooth extracted With so much ease I didn't realize that it had even been pulled. The pricing was also made as fair as possible down to the detail. I paid for a surgical procedure that proved to not be neccesary. A refund was then issued to me and I paid a better price according to what services were actually performed. A++

Chipped a tooth Wednesday before thanksgiving 4 day holiday. This was the only dentist I could schedule to look at my tooth and hopefully give me a filling same day which was great, so I believed. After being scheduled for 2:30 and filling out a simple 2 minute form I hoped it would go quickly so a dentist could have a look. After almost 2 hours later I had still not seen an actual dentist. I had no choice but to accept over 20 x-rays and scans of my teeth unrelated to my chipped tooth. I had been scheduled to supposed gingivitis treatment and braces without my consent and was told my phillips electric toothbrush wasn't very good and I needed to buy theirs. Something about possible covid related complications and potential heat attack risks if I didn't get the gum treatments. Spare me the scary sales tactics please. I did not say anything though and tried to remain patient and let them move it along as fast as i possibly could because I needed them to let me finally see an actual dentist. Im sure they were eying my wisdom teeth as a gold mine also. No thanks I like them as is no problems. I am 42 and except my chipped tooth that is not down to the nerve I have no actual known issues requiring dental attention. Finally I saw a dentist at almost 4:30 that immediately told me it was to late in the day to do anything at all with my tooth. I then expressed my frustration and stated I had a 2:30 appointment specifically to try to repair my chipped tooth before the long holiday and had been in the office since 2:20 waiting to get my chipped tooth addressed. The dentist appearing not to believe me ask the assistant to go check to see what time my appointment was. Don’t worry the lack of trust goes both ways here for sure! I was told there was absolutely no other option than have a pressure salesman brought in the room try to schedule me a $3,700 multi visit repair on top of the braces and gingivitis treatments previously scheduled without my consent. When I said I know the dentist could have given me a filling even if it was temporary I was told what I was asking for was the same as “having a cut on my finger and going to the emergency room requesting the amputate my finger and the doctor refusing”. Not sure how that analogy applies here? Even if I do need to get the extensive repair done for my tooth I certainly will not be doing it at Aspen Dental because clearly this chain has a business plan to get as much money out of your mouth as possible with little regard for the actual requests and consent of their customers desires.

The entire process was the best it could have been. The initial contact by phone was easy and my wife who was making the appointment for me was well attended to. The receptionist greeted me warmly and got me going with paperwork right away. After a short wait I was brought back for x-rays by a very caring and gentle man who really seemed to understand how much pain my wisdom tooth was causing me. Dr. Sonn reviewed the x-rays looked in my mouth and discussed a treatment plan for me, straight talk with no hidden agenda. I was then shown to the financial area and we discussed payment options , the cost was a lot less than I expected. Within 15 mins I was back in the treatment room and within 40 mins I was walking out the door.
Aspen Dental exceeded my expectations on every level.

It's been fantastic to work with Dr. Amani on a professional level this past year. As a family dentist Dr. Amani always looking for ways to make things better for her patients especially during these times where patient health and well-being is at an all time high. It's great to work with a dentist who is so customer service driven. Dr Amani is honest, reliable, caring, has a friendly staff and is a pleasure to work with.

Horrible. Went in to get a tooth pulled and they took exrayed and checked my teeth and said need 5000.00 worth of work. I did not go there for that. Got to watch the financial part because they just want your money. Do not go her if you have a bad toothache. They will not help you. Only want your money. Came home with bad tooth and cost too much. They do not care for your needs just their needs and your money

Could not get a dental cleaning during the first appointment. This is an insurance money grab! DO NOT USE THIS CHAIN. Malika [or however her name is spelled] was quite snarky on the phone. She needs intensive customer service training OR perhaps a new job.

What a joke! After getting all their insurance information before we went and, getting my 75 yo parents hopes up, we had to go all the way there for them to be told "we don't take your insurance." I highly recommend not using this place.

I have to say a few things about this Aspen Dental location (at 4016 Lemay Ferry Road).
First - The staff is friendly, non judgemental, and extremely conscientious.
Second - They will really work with you financially to get the treatment you not only need, but also would like done. Kelly is a wonderful person with whom to work. The fees are explained thoroughly and with patience.
Third - Dr. Sonn, the dentist, is super personable but more importantly super at his job. He made what could have been an uncomfortable visit, very comfortable - not only with novocaine but with his pleasant demeanor and understanding nature.
His assistant, Lawanda, is not only informative, but very compassionate, and has a good sense of humor as well. She really helped make the whole experience very comfortable. She encouraged questions and always had very thorough answers.

I must stress that I feel this way even after walking in with enormous pain due to an abscess tooth. I can only imagine that going in for my next appointment, which I already made because I was so impressed, will only be better!!!

Lastly, I would recommend wearing long sleeves and/or bringing a sweatshirt. It is a little chilly. But it was very hot outside as it is unseasonably warm right now in St Louis. So cranking the air conditioning even in October is not unexpected.
I will add, for those people like me that have the proclivity to get a little chilly, they do have fresh, clean and warm blankets!

Took my mom here after months of endless dentist appointments and people not being able to help her she need broken teeth pulled and dentures made. Very professional staff very friendly and affordable packages. I highly recommend anyone who needs dental care to the professionals who welcome you with open arms.
